Daphne was standing in her office, contemplating on how to ask Raven to the trip. Shouldn't be that hard, right? It's not like she was asking her on a date, it was just a work trip. Strictly professional. She took a deep breath in, she could do this.
“Hey, Raven! Could I talk with you for a moment in my office?”
Raven looked concerned as she followed her to the office.
“Sorry, this is a little last minute, but our company is going to LA over the weekend, and I can take one of my employees with me. You are our best programmer and game developer, so would you go?”
Raven looked shocked as she took a second to respond, “I was not expecting you to say that. Which weekend is that?”
“This weekend.”
Raven thought about it for a few seconds, “Okay, wow, that is really last minute.”
“We'll go to Aurora's concert.”
Raven’s eyes widened, “Aurora Reeves?”
Daphne nodded.
“Yes! I'm going. And all paid by the company, right?”
Daphne nodded again.
“This is so amazing! Thank you.”
“Here, in this letter is everything you need to know” Daphne handed Raven a letter.
Seems like Aurora is a good person to convince people, Daphne smiled to herself. Thankfully Daphne accepted even on such a short term. Though, there was one thing that was bothering Daphne, and that being where they'll be staying. In the letter it only said that they'll have hotels provided, but no mention of which hotel exactly. And if they are going to spend a lot of money on the concert, and meeting Tara, which both can't be cheap, there's a high chance they'll lower the budget for the hotel.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
But, hotels weren't really a top priority for her. What she had to figure out was what she's going to wear when meeting Tara Hill, and what to the concert of Aurora Reeves. She even considered cutting her hair to that classic sideways cut that Aurora has. Thanks to that cut it's really easy to spot her fans, as so many of them have that purple haircut, with one side longer than the other, and bangs.
But maybe she shouldn't do that, as they are going to meet Tara Hill as well, and well, Daphne doesn't want to pick favorites.
Well, either way she's gonna have to check if she even has any appropriate clothes. Maybe she should buy some of Aurora's merch to wear at the concert. As for Tara, she'll just try and find the best clothes she owns.
Raven walked back to her desk, she just couldn't believe what just happened. She is going to LA and she's going to a concert of Aurora Reeves! Raven loves listening to her songs on Watermelon. When she has a bit more time she also watches video-spots that she posts on Void. Well more likely her managers post it for her.
She opened the letter to see exactly when they'll be meeting. On Friday, 10pm at the airport, from where they'll leave for California! Raven still couldn't believe it, it was too good to be true! As she further read the letter, she saw the schedule.
“Holly shit!” She said out loud, getting weird looks from her co-workers. But that didn't matter, who cares about all that, when she just read she's going to be meeting Tara Hill! That girl is like an S star celebrity, she's a household name, everyone knows her, and Raven is going to meet her!
Who cares about the game at this point, this one weekend is more than Raven could ever hope for. All paid for by the company. Oh, she's gonna have to tell Bella that, she's gonna be so jealous! Raven wished she could take Bella with her, it would be such a fun trip if she did, but non the less, it's gonna be fun even without her. There's no way Aurora's concert and meeting Tara could ever be boring.
Well, since it was Thursday already, she only had one day to pack everything she needed, so she had to really plan everything out, to make sure she doesn't forget something important, like phone's charger, and a power-bank.
That and maybe she should dye her hair purple? Or would that be going overboard, since it's still a work trip after all. Plus, her black hair would probably take a hell of a lot of time to bleach to a light enough color so that the purple will even show up. So maybe, rather not.
