It was Tuesday in the evening, when Raven’s phone rang, it was Bella.
“Hey, Birdy? Could you help me out? Nicholas is returning back tomorrow and the house is a mess. I would've asked you sooner, but I also just found out. Apparently one of the bosses forgot the documents they were supposed to get signed at home.”
Bella sighed, “I'm just glad Nicholas didn't do anything wrong.”
“Of course I would help you. I'm coming there right now, I'll be there in half an hour max,” Raven promised before hanging up the phone.
Of course she would be there for her friend, and if her husband was returning then of course she can help clean the house. And so she sat in the car and drove to her. When she arrived they hugged tightly.
“Thank you, this is such a huge help,” Bella thanked.
“It's nothing at all, you know I'd always help you.”
Raven looked inside the house, it really was a mess. Piles of different things everywhere, from clothes to dirty cups, and paper.
“I wanted to ask you what happened in these few days but then I remembered that I never went to the living room, or your bedroom.”
Bella sighed, as she moved some stuff from the couch, so she could sit on it, “Yeah, I was so busy making sure my little Mateo was okay, that I didn't focus on anything else. Speaking of which, I managed to put him to sleep, so let’s not be too loud.”
Raven nodded, “Of course.”
Raven took a bunch of papers and started stacking them, “So I went to an LGBT club,” she started.
“Oh, and how was it?” Bella curiously asked as she brought cups to the kitchen sink.
This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.
“Well… It was something. I think I got hit on by an older woman, but I'm not sure.”
Bella rolled her eyes, “So all people are creepy.”
Raven laughed, “Well, actually she seemed nice. She bought me a drink. Anyway. I drank a bit too much and puked in the sink. That was so embarrassing, god, I do the most pathetic shit when I'm drunk.”
Bella laughed, “Well, at least you didn't throw up on someone. Honestly, vomiting in the sink was one of the best places you could've done it.”
Raven started picking up trash, “Okay, okay. You're right. I'm so glad you're my friend.”
Bella smiled brightly, “Same here, so what happened after that?”
“I think I saw my boss, but I'm not sure.”
Bella stopped, “Your boss? No way! Now that's some tea. What was she doing? Was she there alone or with a friend?”
“I only saw her for a moment, when I was drunk already. And I'm not even sure if it really was here or if my mind was making it up.”
Bella thought about it for a second, “Well, it could've been just someone who looks similar to her. There's no way your I'm-gonna-turn-down-this-prototype boss is going to a gay club. Unless- Do you want her to be gay?” Bella teasingly asked.
Raven blushed, of course she didn't care about her boss's sexuality, that was such a stupid question. Why would she care, it's not as if she had a crush on her or anything. Sure, she was a very pretty woman, but besides that?
“I don't care, I'm not interested in her either way.”
Raven said as she threw away all the collected trash.
“Boring!”
Raven was sure she didn't like Daphne, sure she was very beautiful, but she wasn't Raven’s type. Well, it's not like it mattered either way since Daphne was her boss, and that'd be inappropriate.
“Can we just finish cleaning this room up? I still have work tomorrow.”
Bella nodded, and then both focused on cleaning. They finished by vacuuming the whole house, which surprisingly didn't wake little Mateo up.
“Thank you so much,” Bella thanked Raven, “Oh, and sorry for keeping you up so late. Try not to fall asleep at your work tomorrow.”
Raven laughed, then hugged Bella before leaving.
