“Good morning everyone! As I hope my son in law here told you already, today we'll be meeting with Tara Hill.”
Son in law? That was one thing Daphne didn't guess.
“I know she's a big superstar, but please behave yourselves. I'm serious about this.”
Everyone nodded and murmured okays, and then followed in a crowd outside. Where they waited for a few minutes, before a limousine drove by, with a police car in front and behind it. A man who looked like a bodyguard stepped outside the limousine and held the doors open for her to step outside.
Her pink hair was put together so professionally, that Daphne didn't doubt it took hours. Make-up so well made, that you couldn’t even tell she really was wearing one. Clothes that were no doubt made just for her. No brand names, no creases. Her whole being didn't have a single imperfection. That was her, Tara Hill.
“Hi!” She smiled brightly, removed her sunglasses, after which her body guard carefully placed them into a case.
“I'm so glad to meet you, Maverick Vinson! Oh, and your dear company employees. How lovely!”
You couldn't hear an ounce of sarcasm in her speech, it sounded as if she truly were so happy to meet the CEO.
“So, should we do the pictures now, or after we talk about this deal?”
Maverick Vinson smiled as he shook Tara’s hand.
“Please, there's no need to rush the deal. I'm sure your fans are impatiently waiting to get a picture with you.”
You could see the glowing eyes of everyone around. Son-in-law gestured for everyone who wanted to take a picture, to go in a line.

People were praising her, thanking her for her existence, and one even tried to hug her, but then the bodyguard removed him from her.
And all through that Tara just smiled.
When everyone took the pictures, the CEO said to Tara, “We also have something else prepared for you today.”
Tara Hill smiled, “Oh, and what is that?”
“Later today we are inviting you to a concert of Aurora Reeves.”
“Oh, I'd love to go! But can I take my boyfriend with me?”
“Of course, Grayson would be more than welcome to join.”
Tara smiled as she thanked Maverick Vinson.
It all felt a bit weird to Daphne. Was Tara they were going to make a deal with? Not even her managers? There's no way someone so famous like her would be genuinely happy to meet some business men. It felt like some sort of a publicity stunt. Which seemed to work. People were eating up every word she said.
Even their speech seemed rehearsed, at least from the CEO's side. Tara, well, she seemed genuine. But as an actress that wasn't at all surprising.
And Tara’s boyfriend, Grayson? Daphne thought for a few seconds, as the only thing she could recall is how it was all over social media that Tara started dating him. Was he an actor? Daphne shook her head as she couldn't remember.
That list guy, son-in-law of the CEO, told everyone to go back to the hotel, and that they'll re-group after lunch, at 3pm, for Aurora's concert.
Daphne walked to her room, and guessed Raven was somewhere behind, though she couldn't see her because of the crowd. They had two keys, so it shouldn't be a problem. And though this is a work trip, Raven was still an adult, so if she chose to spend her time before the concert somehow else it was none of Daphne's business.
Daphne blushed, as she remembered Raven coming out of the bathroom yesterday. It was endearing to see her be so flustered over such a small thing.
And what was she even thinking, taking Raven to disco yesterday? And then dancing with her? As her boss? That was highly inappropriate. This sharing room with her completely mixed up their dynamic. She would've slammed her head in the wall a few times, for being such a dumbass, if she didn't hear the doors unlocking.
Daphne breathed in, no more inappropriate flirting. Sure, Raven was very pretty, but from now on it's gonna be strictly professional.
