Chapter 9
After passing onto the third floor the monsters were five times harder to kill compared to the first and second floor monsters. Even with the two monsters teaming up they barely made it through each battle alive. Even Adonis had gone into action unlike when the snake could kill every monster on the first two floors.
Today was the fourth day they had arrived on the third floor. The snake had longe gashes across it’s body revealing the soft flesh unlike its usual lustrous scales. Even the goblin which had the highest level in the group had scars trailing across it’s body that it didn’t have originally. But unlike the two monsters who had been in vanguard Adonis’s hand had finally fully recovered from the time he had broken it.
After every fight they would find a safe area to collapse and rest to get ready for the next day.
“Urgh.” Collapsing on the spot Adonis fainted on the spot leaving the two monsters to drag his unconscious body.
After finding a safe place to rest they left Adonis sleeping to the side before collapsing themselves. But before they had even relaxed a arrow had flown across piercing into the goblin causing a flower of black blood to spew out the other side.
“Chek chik chek.” Appearing out of the dark tunnel a group of about twenty gnolls appeared.
Their beady, greedy eyes feasted onto the three hungrily. It’s piercing laughs echoed in joy over their new prey. Surrounding the three they left no escape to the two exhausted monsters.
Even when exhausted the snake still exerted a pressure as a bloody aura exploded out that was more baleful and domineering compared to Marianne’s that had shattered bullet proof glass.
“Rahhhhhh!”Roaring angrily the goblin’s gaunt body exploded three times bigger bursting forward ripping the first gnoll into two pieces.
The gnolls intestines flew through the air splashing blood across its companions. Even as one of their companions died a gruesome death the gnolls laughed rapidly becoming more excited smelling the blood in the air. Unable to control themselves the pack of gnolls charged forward, their rusty swords and armor covered with blood glinted ominously as they flew forward.
Toward the fearless group of gnolls that had charged the snaked whipped forward joining the goblin as they went head to head with the pack. With the snake joining twice the blood exploded out as it covered the walls leaving red splotches dripping into puddles on the ground.
Even with the unlimitless strength that the goblin had when it was in its berserk mode. His body sluggishly moved barely deflecting the rusted swords and fighting back. As the battle wore longer and longer even the snakes dominant aura had fallen to a miniscule pressure.
“Hihihihhhuhuhuhuehehehe!” Seeing their prey become weaker the gnoll’s laughed like hyenas charging in faster as their group became bigger and bigger.
The scent of blood permeated the air as more and more bloody gashes appeared onto the two monsters. Tens of gnolls laid dead with their guts spewing out without a sound. The dead bodies became desecrated as tens of gnolls rushed into the room trampling over them.
The first to fall was the goblin. As more and more gashes appeared over it’s body the goblins reactions slowed as more and more gnolls attacked. Misjudging a attack his arm flew through the air as more and more gnolls pounced onto him. Even with one arm he killed several gnolls with shear force before they decapitated him throwing his head into the air.
The goblin’s body shrank till it was emancipated releasing black blood that mixed with the puddles underneath them. Even when dead it’s remaining arm held tightly around the neck of a gnoll strangling it to death. The gnolls completely surrounding the body ripped it into pieces like a meat grinder leaving not even the bones.

The gnolls in the back that had come late angered by the gnolls in the front started to attack them. Killing each other the gnolls disregarded the snake and the boy which quietly left leaving the gnolls to their bloody battle ground.
With it’s mutilated body that even showed the bone. The snake slowly moved forward with Adonis on it’s back. Leaving a thick blood trail, the depth of a puddle it constantly bled almost leaving no blood in it’s body.
Unlike the usual clean Adonis that had no grim even after traveling through the dungeon for a month, blood covered his whole body red. His stench of blood was even more nauseating than the blood that the snake had dripping out. The bloody stench completely melded into him like it was originally his in the first place.
“Ughh..Urghhh.” Waking up from his unconsciousness Adonis leaned forward before throwing up onto the ground.
“Huu..Huu..Huu..Urgh.” Breathing in deeply the smell of blood around him caused him to throw up again leaving nothing in his stomach.
“Huu..Ugh...Ugh...Ugh…” Dry heaving the smell of blood permeated his skin as it didn’t disappear.
Stopping itself the snake lost consciousness when Adonis got up. After losing consciousness the scars on it’s body visibly melded together leaving long scars with no scales to protect it. Within minutes the scratches had already scarred over.
“Shit!” Yelled Adonis after fully waking up.
When fully waking up Adonis had found a mental link in his mind gone. The mental link that had connected him to Kubo the goblin. Even though the goblin had only joined the two a few days ago, they had fought together these last few days causing him to rely heavily on the goblin like family.
Fully comprehending the situation Adonis pushed back the emotions he felt of the goblin dying and went to check on the snake. Even though the scratches and minor cuts had already healed and scarred over the bigger cuts which showed the moving organs and bones in the snake healed even slower as if not healing at all.
“F*ck! How the hell is this damn floor so hard!” Opening the medic kit that he still had he messily stitched and cleaned the bigger wounds on the snake while cursing out loud. “F*ck! F*ck! F*ck!”
After sewing the wounds they were still barely closed but the healing had already started to mend the wounds together. Compared to before the battle against the gnolls there were already 10x the amount of scars on the snake.

“Sir, sir there is an emergency!” Shouted a woman running in after the elevator opened.
“What is it!” Slamming his fist against his desk the guild leader glared at the woman as the tower of papers flew across the room. “Can’t you see we are already in an emergency! The third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth strongest guilds have killed themselves fighting the damn monsters in the atlantic! I don’t even see how the hell are we supposed to prevent the monster floods this month!”
“No sir..This is worst!” Cowering from the yell, the woman hesitated before screaming hysterically at the guild leader again. “The monsters have gotten stronger!”
“C’mon Spit it out! What do you mean they got stronger!”
Hesitating one more time the woman said, “We’ve just had reports that monsters from the twenty first floor are appearing on floor one and on floor two there would be floor twenty two monsters.”
“What! Are you sure?”
“Sir, we’ve had ten group reports from different dungeons. They all had the same information written in their reports. The monsters have started to become stronger.”
“Damn! Damn! Get out! Tell the ministry of defence to start evacuating people! Tell him I will be personally leading the defence personally!”
Running back into the elevator the woman left leaving the angered guild leader.
“Why the hell would this happen now?” Murmured the guild leader standing up from the desk.
Tapping the wall twice in the room it opened up to reveal a suit of black armor. With the armor a platinum colored Dragunov laid hanging on the wall with a bayonet attached to it. Unlike a normal Dragunov the cartridge showed a symbol of a sun indicating the weapon was a plasma weapon.
Touching the armor it flew forward and wrapped itself around the guild leader only leaving his head to be seen. Stroking the Dragunov he picked it up to stab forward with no hesitation leaving a foot long gash on the steel wall.
“Hehe,” smiled the guild leader stroking the weapon, “It’s been awhile Harmony.”
