Chapter 22
After Mark left, the room became normal again with hundreds of players logging on and the old man standing in the corner quietly.
“Keep an eye on him,” muttered the old man.
Unknown to the others around him his shadow had disappeared. Even if others had noticed they would’ve mistaken it as a trick of their eyes in the crowded room.
“Ehh, that was fast!”
“Yeah I got lucky and he gave up.”
Walking away from the starting area he had found the two girls in a alley way not to far away waiting.
“Well whatever,”said Mikaela, “First things first we need to find the Job house. I read from the forums that's where you can get skills and stuff apparently.”
Asking around the streets the Npc’s grudgingly directed them towards the Job house building, a skyscraper with tens of floors.
What was most eye catching was the long line that moved just as fast as it appeared. From the plain clothing that the people in the lines were wearing they could clearly be seen as players.
“Well atleast the line is going fast right guys,” said Mikaela seeing the dizzying amount of people entering and exiting.
After entering the line the three of them swept through a huge line like a wave and arrived at a room on one of the tens of floors.
“Welcome to London’s Job house,” said a towering man behind a bunch of computer screens, “How may I help you?”
“Umm..I would like to learn some skills,” said Mikaela sitting down in one of the seats in front of the man
“Name?”
“Mikaela.”
“Ahh yes. Would you like to create a membership with our Job house to?” said the man directing a pamphlet towards the three, “Once the membership is created you will get special benefits such as global support, cheaper skill allocations, and special services.”
“What's the catch?” asked Mikaela opening the pamphlet showing it to the other two.
“We just ask that we are allowed to use your name in the future,” said the man typing.
“Nah, not interested,” said Mikaela putting the pamphlet back onto the table, “Neither are my friends.”
“Well Mikaela you seem to not have any skills on your account, would you like to purchase some skills.”
“Yes, please.”
“Please choose, the price is here and the requirements are here,” said the man opening a catalog on his computer.
“What might I be able to do for you, sir?” said the man directing his attention to Mark after Mikaela focused onto the catalog.
“The same thing as her.”
“Ah. Yes here is a catalog and what is your name?”said the man booting up another catalog for Mark on another one of his computer screens.
“Mark.”
After focusing on the catalog in front of him the man went to service Riley.

“Even if you do not have the skills you can still slash and stab with a sword it will just be 90% weaker than a person that has the skill,” explained the man after situating the three sorting through the catalogs.
“Does that mean magic is possible even without having the skill?” asked Mikaela.
“It is possible but there would be lots of self studying and it will be also weaker than usual.”
“How much do you guys have?” asked Mikaela poking through her pockets,” I have nothing”
“Uhh I have nothing too,” said Mark after checking his pockets that he had not checked.
“Same,” said Riley after the two turned towards her.
“If you need a supplement of money you could also transfer money from the other world into this world,” explained the man, “Currently the market price is one USD to ten GOLD and vice versa, but there is a fee of 10% per transfer.”
“Uhh..You guys have money?” asked Mikaela awkwardly.
“Nope,” said the both of them.
Seeing the three awkwardly stare at him the man said, “We offer loans.”
“Hahahaha...no,”said Mikaela.
Leaving the job house the three idled around the front of the building planning what to do next.
“We need a job,” said Mark after they got out.
“I second that,” said Mikaela softly,” Only one problem, what job?”
“Well we could....” suggested Mark.
“Oh or this..” continued Mikaela.
Ignoring the two who had gone into a back and forth in a slump, Riley scanned around the area around them. Even with the bustling crowd Riley accurately spotted a bland grey colored sign located far away.
“I think we have the perfect job,”said Riley pointing towards the sign and disrupting the slump the two had gotten into.
