Chapter 33

The eyes gave no answer. They only hungrily looked at him like he was it’s prey.

As time went on the pressure from the pair of eyes increased forcing Mark onto the ground gasping for breath.

The pressure was like have a truck being dropped on top of him. He felt his bones crack and snap into pieces inside of him. From tiny wounds bones poked out of his chest. His face was being firmly held down onto the ground.

What pushed his head down was a hand. A strong calloused hand that lead up to a man covered with wounds. Wounds that horrifyingly showed the organs underneath spilling out.

The organs twitched with each breath the other man breathed. Even his heart was seen. It thumped ominously glowing red.

The grievously injured man said no words. He only stared at him coldly.

Above them the pair of red eyes had quietly floated around the air, increasing the pressure of the gravity forcing the two down.

“We, that have no destiny, are destined to die,” coldly said the grievously injured  man without a change of expression, “Does that mean we have a destiny.”

The blood red eyes showed no change hearing the grievously injured man’s words.

“When fate abandons us, we continue to have fate, it will be forged not by the gods but by an immortal,” said the man blankly like he was talking to himself disregarding everything else in the world.

“HHAAHAAHAHAHA,” laughed the man crazily before saying wistfully, “No god could control an immortal. But the gods can control us.”

Turning his head down Mark finally saw his face. It was a face covered with scars. Every last part of his face was scratched up leaving no skin unblemished. His face was unrecognizable of a human.

His black eyes were dead. They showed no emotion. Not a hint of pain or even happiness. Even in his crazed laughter his expression didn’t change.

“Will I become like you,” whispered Mark gasping from the ground.

“Heh,” chuckled the man his face finally changed to melancholy, “I am you.”
