Chapter 17

After buying the game and had escaped the crowd it had already become ten o’clock.

“Ah..Mom I’m going to stay over at my friends house tonight to play the game with them and it’s the weekend tomorrow,” said Mark, “Uhh..It’s a guy….You want to talk to him...”

Mikaela that had been looking at the back seat motioned for him to pass the phone to her. Taking the phone in her hands she coughed a few times before talking in a feministic male voice, “Hi, My names Tony.”

“Uhh..Yes I have some spare clothes...yes...yes...yes...I live in a very safe neighborhood… ”

Finished talking over the phone Mikaela finished the call before giving back the phone to Mark, “Your mom told me to tell you to have fun.”

“Uhh, yeah thanks,” said Mark pocketing the phone, “You don’t happen to have a spare Android Phone charger do you?”

“Ahh yeah I should have one at my place,” said Mikaela turning back to stare at the road in front of them.

“Are you absolutely sure I can stay over, “asked Mark, “What about your parents?”

“Yeah you can stay, I live alone anyway,” said Mikaela nonchalantly.

“What!” exclaimed Mark grabbing onto the seat.

“Well yeah I would worry if a guy were to stay at my place for a night but since Riley’s here she would probably kill you before you even say a word,” continued Mikaela nonchalantly.

“Well, I wouldn’t kill you per say…” said Riley turning down the street, “You could probably have a few more broken bones in the morning than tonight though.”

“I-is that supposed to be reassuring,” muttered Mark darkly.

“It’s reassuring to me,” said Mikaela in a teasing voice.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

Exiting the road they entered an apartment complex.

Taking everything they needed from the car he followed the two girls who had entered. Arriving onto the third floor Mikaela unlocked one of the doors showing an expansive living room.

“Home sweet home,” said Mikaela placing down the game system on the coffee table in front of the couch, “The game servers are going to start in a hour or so, take a shower and relax, then we’ll wait for the servers to start.”

Placing down the rest of the bags Mark asked, “Do you happen to have a change of clothes?”

“Oh yeah, follow me,” said Mikaela leading the way deeper into the apartment, “Just use my brother’s old clothes he’s in college anyways and won’t be back for a while, actually you can just use this room while he's gone.”

“Thanks,” said Mark reaching for the clothes in the drawer.

“The bathrooms down the hall, there's two of them so you guys don’t need to take turns,” said Mikaela leaving the room, “Don’t be late, we’ll meet in the living room at 11:45 to start, you have about thirty to forty minutes.”

“Yeah, okay see you two later,” said Mark flopping onto the bed.

Man how did today become so weird. All he had done was say good morning to two girls in the morning and then it lead him here.

“Well I hope the game was as good as Dylan had said it was,”muttered Mark taking a bundle of clothes to wash up.

Thinking of his old friend he inwardly felt sad that he hadn’t seen him today.

Quickly finishing the shower and freshening up for the night he arrived at the living room five minutes before the appointed time. The two girls had already gotten ready and had changed from normal clothes to slightly revealing pajamas.

“We already have your helmet set up here,” said Riley gesturing toward one of the helmets on the table and sending a overwhelming smell of shampoo towards Mark.

Did girls really smell this nice after a shower thought Mark slipping on the helmet and sitting onto the couch to begin.

“Remember we’re meeting at the guild headquarters after we finish the tutorial,” said Mikaela as the helmet took over drawing all outside sound.

“Welcome to World RPG,” said a voice in the darkness.

“The Earth as we know it has been completely destroyed and taken control of by monsters of lore and legend,”continued the voice as the darkness disappeared and a 3D terrain appeared around him and giants stomped the land as humans fought back with futuristic weapons.

“But humans have survived,” said the voice switching scenes to a bloody decrypt city, “Sadly the humans have split up into different groups controlling the few resources that still exist.”

“You a young hero has come to save us by joining the human forces to push back the ghastly monsters or to doom us by fighting with those abominations. The choice is yours.”
