Chapter 23
“What?”
“The sign over there,” said Riley adamantly.
Looking closer the two finally found the obscure unnoticeable sign.
On the sign there were a bunch of soldiers standing and big words in front of them. On the top it said, “RECRUITMENT”, and in smaller text underneath it, “Join the Kingdom Guild Army. *$3,500 a month pay *Free Skills Allocation *Room and Board included *No Prior Knowledge needed, will train you. *No Contract, Can leave whenever you want. To apply go to the nearest Barracks.”
“That’s to convenient,” exasperatedly said Mikaela.
“But it's perfect for our needs,” said Riley firmly.
“Ehh, What’s wrong Mark?” asked Mikaela noticing Mark’s blank stare.
“Uhh, Nothing I just felt some deja vu seeing the sign,” said Mark deep in thought, “I dunno why.”
“Must’ve been a promotional video,” said Mikaela, “Don’t bother to much about it.”
“Hehe, I guess so,” chuckled Mark. But the Kingdom Guild and Cawdor Guild...Seems to much of a coincidence.
“Well joining the army doesn’t seem like to bad of a thing right?,” said Mikaela, “It’s the perfect reason to enter the dungeons.”
“That’s true,” said Mark.
Mark thought of his past life when Dylan had explained some of the mechanics of the game to him.
If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

“The worst part of the game is that you need a license to go into the dungeons.”
“A license? Why?”
“Well the NPC government apparently doesn’t want people that aren’t willing to pay to go in. I bet it’s just the game creators trying to mooch money off of the user’s.
“That’s BS.”
“It is isn’t it.”
************
“Well that covers everything we could possibly need for now,” said Mikaela, “Money and Skills.”
“We should probably get going,” said Riley nodding towards a security guard that was strangely staring their way,” That guy's been eyeing us for a while, I don't want to get arrested again.”
“Arrested?” asked Mikaela surprised, “Again?”
“Uh, yeah that’s a story for another time,” said Mark nervously noticing the security guard.
The two ushered Mikaela away disappearing from the vicinity. Heading towards the directions that had been on the sign they arrived outside of the city surrounded by wild fields.

At the same time at another place.
“It’s a wonderful baby boy congratulations.”
“He’s not saying anything. Is he dead?”
“The baby's not breathing!”
Inside the room a frenzied room a nurse held a baby still covered in blood checking to make sure the baby was alive.
“You do know who she is right,” whispered the doctor to the nurse,” If the baby’s dead we’re dead.”
“Sir, I’m trying my best,” whispered back the nurse frantically.
“Try hitting his bottom I’m sure it's fine,” said the doctor reassuring the woman and himself.
The nurse patted the baby’s bottom causing a ear piercing scream to echo around the room.
“He’s fine, see,” said the doctor smiling while handing the baby to the woman.
“Mr. Aether this room please,” said a voice outside the door.
Entering the door a handsome man with a cold look entered the room.
“We should give you two some privacy,” said the doctor leaving as fast as he could with the nurse leaving the couple and child.
