Chapter 24
Wandering outside of the city for quite a while they found the base in the middle of farm fields a couple of miles away.
Beside the base, a cave covered with restraints popped out. Even without the restraints the cave entrance was about ten feet high and could fit 3 trucks side by side with room to spare..
“That should be a dungeon,” said Mikaela studying the overwhelming cave entrance, “It was in one of the PR vids that was showing a first look of dungeons.”
“Is there anything we should know about it?” asked Mark studying the base around the cave. I feel like I’ve been here before..
“Well the makers didn’t say a lot of things about the dungeon. But from the information I saw, the dungeons were here for quite a while. Well that’s the story that the producers came up with
I think.”
“Story?”
“Uhh..Yeah you probably didn’t know but this game has a story even though it’s mostly sandbox. So the story is that a hundred dungeons appeared all of a sudden and people found hostile monsters. BlahBlahBlah..Then people created guilds and fought these monsters back. BlahBlahBlah...Then people started forming powers which we call skills. The NPC’s call these people ability users or espers. And now it’s the present and the NPC’s rely on the dungeons to survive.”
“I thought this was a apocalyptic fantasy game?”Also I feel like I’ve heard this information from somewhere...
“Well it is and isn’t. For casual players it's gonna be more chill but for players that become known they would probably fall into the politics of the countries. Once players start becoming more well known in the game, scenarios will start to happen which will destroy the world and the apocalypse begins.”
“So for now it’s just easy mode for everybody?” Where did I hear it...
“Yeah about..well it’s kinda hard without cash..hahaha,” laughed Mikaela awkwardly.
“I think I found the recruitment office,” said Riley who had been scanning the surroundings.
The author's content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
“Which one?”
“I think the building that's right next to the dungeon,” said Riley pointing to the only two story building in the vicinity.
“Well what are we waiting for,” said Mikaela leading the way.
Arriving at the two story building they hadn’t seen or heard a person while going through the base. If not for the lights in the office building the base could’ve been mistaken for a ghost town.
The door flew open as a shadow flew out screaming, “Sir, Please, Sir I'll try harder next time, Please don’t fire me!”
Luckily none of the three had been in front of door when the person had flown out.
“Marianne Wilson! This is the twentieth fucking time!”
That name where have I heard it!
Standing up from the ground, a stunningly beautiful woman in a military uniform unsteadily stood up.
Seeing the woman only one thought floated through Mark’s mind. It’s her..
The first time he had met her was in his second life when he was a two year old. On his two year old birthday he had a party that even his parents were there. And since his parents were there everybody that had some importance was also there. Big figures such as the guild leader of Kingdom, T’mar Franse, head researchers of his parents team and influential personnel from the guild were at the party.
It was the first and last time he had met Marianne Wilson. The genius of the Cawdor Army. Also known as the rising star of the generation. She became so strong, so fast that she was considered to have might rival T’mar Franse, the guild leader that had lead ability users into the country of Macedonia and laid waste sparing nobody ending the small country.
But the beautiful woman in front of him looked far more delicate than the mighty general that exuded a wild air at his party. The woman that had also almost started a fight with T’mar Franse over a single comment. Even though different, the image they exuded was still the same.
“God damn useless bitch! Can’t even fucking do a damn thing right!” yelled a overbearing, hulking man that stepped out of the building nearly wrenching the door off it’s hinges.
“Sir I will do it right next time,” answered Marianne calmly as if the man had not been talking to her.
“That’s what you fucking say all the damn time! And what happens next you fucking mess up! You better damn tell me why the hell I should fucking keep you!”
“Well sir,” said Marianne taking a deep breath,” You should take a fucking dick down your fucking throat. I mean c’mon your breath smells like shit, maybe once you're done sucking on it you could use the cum as mouthwash and get the damn smell out. Like you just gotta it stinks. Do you kiss your mama with that mouth. If I were her I would die if you kissed me with that mouth. Oh and you don’t need to fire me. I fucking quit.”
Calmly spilling the profanity out of her mouth the mighty general with a wild air slightly peeked out like his other life. It was exactly like when she cussed out T’mar Franse without a care and had to be excused from the party.
