Chapter 15
“So yeah, My name's Mr. Wilson, I don’t really care what you do in my class, bring a book or something tomorrow and that’s Honors English. You guys can do whatever you want now. *Yawn*,” said the man standing in front of the classroom.
“Just like always...this guy…at least act like a teacher...” thought Mark as his eye twitched.
“Hey Mark,” said Mikaela beside him, “We’ll meet after school and buy the game tonight when it releases.”
“Uhh yeah,”muttered Mark.
“Have you heard of the new system they implemented into the game, said Mikaela, “It’s a company secret apparently.”
“Really?” asked MArk while thinking, “How did I become gaming buddies with her so fast.”
“Yeah, The new system is apparently controlled by hundreds of AI, “said Mikaela.
*Ring* Ring*
“Ahh yeah, I’ll meet you after school,” said Mark escaping from the classroom.
Passing through the crowd of students he disappeared immediately into the crowd. Arriving at the foreign language department he quickly found his class and entered.
Sitting down in one of the seats he sighed in dejection and muttered, “What did I do in my past life to get myself involved with the Demonic Military Genius.”
“Who’s a Demonic Military Genius?” asked a familiar voice behind him.
Turning his head slightly he saw the bag stuffed with a chessboard and realized who it was.
“S-sup again,” stuttered Mark.
“Dude, you left so fast I didn’t even have the chance to ask you what classes you had,”said Mikaela, “Now show me your schedule.”
Giving her his schedule his mood quietly got worst as her smile got brighter and brighter as they went down the paper. And the next words made his heart plunge into the cold abyss.
“Perfect.” said Mikaela happily, “We have the exact same classes all year.”
Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
“Uhh..Yeah..Woohoo…” sadly said Mark.
“Too bad Riley isn’t here she has different classes from us the rest of the day,” said Mikaela not noticing his sad words and handed back the schedule.
“Yeah...Too bad,” muttered Mark.
“Man aren't we lucky,” said Mikaela cupping her hand over his shoulder.
“Yeah..lucky,” said Mark.
“Now back to what I was saying, “said Mikaela putting a piece of paper on the table.
On top of the paper the big word PLANS was written on top and a bullet list of things were written on the paper.
PLANS
>Buy game on release night
>Choose Server to play in
>Level up fast
>Choose guild name
>Make guild
>Level up guild fast
>Become best players in the world
“Ummm..don’t you think that’s a little ambitious,” said Mark trailing down the list stopping at the last one.
“Well that was a end goal…” said Mikaela shrugging her shoulders like it was no big deal.
“Oh yeah..She was the DEMONIC Military Genius that has suffered no losses,” thought Mark punching himself on the inside.
Passing through the rest of the school day nothing else uneventful happened other than Mikaela blabbering over the game over and over again. During their period of P.E. he tried to find Dylan his long lost friend but there wasn’t even a hint of him in the class. After school he and Mikaela went to find Riley to go buy the game.
“I think she should be around here muttered Mikaela in front of the office building with Mark.
“Gimme a second I need to tell my parents I’m going out with some friends,” said Mark taking out his phone.
“Yeah, Yeah you do that,”said Mikaela distracted looking into the crowd.
“*Drring* *Drring* *Click* Hello.”
“Umm..Mom I made some friends today we’re going to the game store right now to buy a game,” said Mark quietly.
“Great, You’re making friends! I was worrying if you were socially inept. Did you remember to bring your wallet. Buy anything you want with the credit card I gave you,” said his mom with sobs of joy.
“Umm...Thanks mom,” said Mark shocked by the outburst.
In his past life he knew his parents had worried about him because of his shy personality but who knew it was this bad.
“Have fun dear, I need to tell your father about this *Click*.”
“You done yet?” asked Mikaela with Riley standing beside her.
“I think so…”said Mark.
“Riley’s driving us,” said Mikaela following after Riley.
“You have your licenses?” asked Mark.
“I was held back a year cause I was suspended to much for fighting,” said Riley opening the door of the car.
“Oh,” Mark muttered surprised.
Sitting quietly in the car only Mikaela talked loudly about the game with the radio quietly playing a song.
Arriving at the store a long line that looped around the block could already be seen.
