Chapter 34

“What!” exclaimed Mark rising up from  his sleep.

In front of him the two girls Riley and Mikaela were still staring at him.

“That’s what I want to ask, You ok,” asked Riley holding onto his shoulders worriedly, “Do we need to call the hospital.”

“What happened,” asked Mark pressing his hand against his head feeling a headache.

“You wouldn’t wake up after being called for a long while so we thought something was wrong and was about to call the hospital but you woke up. Then you fainted again for a few minutes and now you're awake again, “ explained Mikaela.

“You alright.”

“I think so..” absent mindedly said Mark.

Snapping her fingers in front of his face  Riley said, “Hey, hey! We aren’t losing you again. C’mon stay awake.”

“Ah, yeah...haha,” chuckled Mark trying to show he was fine.

But after he woke up he had felt something different. His body had changed.

He felt like his mind could think clearer and his body seemed tougher and lighter. There was a surge of energy that flowed throughout his body.

“Hey you're the one who said you were fine,” said Riley with a badly hidden worried face, “Don’t blame us if you die or somethin’.”

“Don’t worry Riley, If he died we could get the life insurance money.”

“That’s true…” muttered Riley as she faced him again with a more serious face, “Please die.”

Do you want me to die!  Thought Mark feeling out his body.

A influx of energy lead him to where his heart was. Instead of a normal red heart , a crystalline see through heart  was in place.

He saw the heart release a glowing energy into his body as his pulse skyrocketed.

Everything in front of him slowed down to a snail's pace.

Riley’s hand that was reaching back was barely moving until watched closely.

There was no sound like he was trapped into his own world.
