Ri Jun’s apartment was surrounded by policemen and a yellow band with the warning „Don’t pass!” Yet, it was because of this warning that a lot of people gathered around that door, eager to find out what could have happened in that apartment that the police came. Moreover, they were interested in finding out what the deal with the box with a red bow on it was. A crowd that made the policemen’s work really difficult, especially for the officers that guarded the door because they got to fight with them not to let them pass. Even so, it was really hard because of that inscription, „Don’t pass! Only CNS!” that was something alluring for all those lookie-loos that were fighting with the officers.
Yet, in the middle of that bustle, not everybody seemed curious to find something out. Only the neighbor from the right, with 502 on the door, seemed not to be curious about everything that happened there. An illusion in fact because that door had been half-open for a while and two curious eyes, of a mysterious witness, were seen sparkling behind that door. A witness that hurried to close the door when DooSan and SolHi got out of the elevator and headed toward the crime scene.

„It’ll be something damn interesting,” mumbled DooSan when he saw the bustle in front of Ri Jun’s apartment.
„Do you think so, Prosecutor Han?” Asked SolHi, in a slightly mockery tone. „It’s only the normal routine of such cases in fact. Something that you seemed not to be used to, but something that you’ll find out very soon. You’ll get used to all this, I mean. Otherwise, you can call your mummy to change your diaper. Not that I’m picky, but… I really don’t want to feel a… certain scent coming from you.” After that, smiling, she winked at him.
Listening to her words, DooSan smiled. And, finding the perfect chance to make fun of her a little, he asked, „Something you know very well, huh? Detective Ian?” A question that received a grin from SolHi and something unpleasant addressed to him shortly after this. A response that gave DooSan certain confidence because he right away added, „Actually, I’m pretty sure that such cases aren’t for someone sensitive as you are, detective. Or… no, wait, I forgot that you know how it feels… the smell of a dead body, I mean because… you know the story… seven years ago when a man died in a pool of blood. Just like this case, actually.”
To his great surprise, SolHi looked at him grinning, telling him, „Of course, I know, Prosecutor Han, because I’ve learned it from you, remember? It happened seven years ago too. Not in a warehouse as in my case, but at the Intensive Care. And, yes, the victim this time had been about to be me when someone, a jerk, pressed a pillow on my face. That’s why I’m pretty curious to find out how this feels, Prosecutor Han. Or… should I ask for more pieces of good advice from you about… how to kill a man, I mean?!” An answer that felt like a painful slap over DooSan’s face, who suddenly cooked his nose.
Seeing him looking elsewhere, SolHi triumphantly smiled: she won that little battle. After that, she turned her back to him and went away. Yet, before going away, she flicked the latex gloves right in front of his nose. Something that made DooSan hiss through his teeth, „Uddi woodpecker!” After that, he followed her into the apartment, showing his ID to the officer that was guarding the door to be left in.

„Wow, nice view!” Joked Kan, carefully looking at the dead body that was lying half out of the box.
„One of my favorites,” responded DooSan, bending a little to check the victim from close.
The victim was a young woman about 30: with red hair, a cream mini dress, red high heels, and a kind of red bow around her waist. A bow that was big, but not enough to cover the wounds on her skin that looked pretty ugly as though she’d been dragged across the city, naked.
Seeing her looking like this, DooSan said while checking her arm to see if she consumed drugs, „Who’s she?”
„Lee Ha Ni, 28 years old. Waitress. Her boyfriend found her and called the police. Oh, no, wait, I forgot to mention: one of her many boyfriends,” said Kan, smiling.
„One of many?” Asked DooSan, confused. „Don’t tell me: prostitution?” Then, stretching his back, DooSan looked at Ri Jun, who was interrogated by Yoon Suk at that moment.
Kan looked in the same direction. Yet, he wasn’t calm, but kept scratching his head while mumbling, confused, „Video chat. Lately, she started to do „personal deliveries” too. You know, for diversity.”
DooSan sketched an ironic smile, „Yeah, I know, just as I see how her diversity ended. Did this happen here?”
„Noop. As you see, it has been a „special delivery,” said Kan, winking at DooSan. After that, seeing DooSan frowning, he pointed with his head toward the red bow.
Both winced eventually when they heard right behind them, „The red bow of death.” SolHi said that. She was squatting next to the victim at that moment, checking her wounds. Thus, focused on what she was doing, she didn’t pay too much attention to DooSan and Kan, who suddenly exchanged glances, confused. A confusion that SolHi chased away when she said, „As far as I see, she had a lot of fun today: multiple wounds, all over her body, 0 marks of injection, which means she’s „clean,” a mini dress, red high heels - she was someone’s gift for sure. And, the tip of the iceberg: she has a deep wound on the back of her head. So, any other questions?” Then, she insistently looked at Kan and DooSan, who did the same.
„Yeah, I have one,” said DooSan, raising his hand. „Who killed her?” Yet, he asked that question only to provoke her.
A hint that SolHi understood because she right away responded, smiling, „I think I’ve seen him walking around, with an ID with the inscription „Prosecution” on it.” A remark that made DooSan grin, eager to kill her there and at that moment, at all happy to be the „target of her spicy jokes.”
Yet, DooSan changed the target right away when he heard Yoon Suk’s remark, „1-0 for SolHi, Prosecutor Han. Thus, if you don’t want to be held accountable for the death of this young lady, I suggest you not provoke sombe Ian, or… you can meet the devil.”
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.
DooSan grinned again, „Yeah, yeah, sure: I forgot who the „Hunting Dog” in your team is.” Then, feeling a slight caress on his shoulder, much more delicate than it should have been felt, he wince and right away looked at Kan when he heard that one telling him in a soft voice as if talking to his girlfriend, „The only Hunting Dog here is you, Prosecutor Han, and all of us know this, I assure you.”
That turn of events hadn’t been definitely something that DooSan expected from them. Even so, not losing his temper, he told Kan, growling, „I think you’ve chosen the wrong prey, baby.”
„Don’t worry, sweetie, I still love women. And… no offense, but you aren’t to my taste,” said Kan, winking.
„And thanks God for this,” responded DooSan, showing his fangs like a real Hunting Dog, which found his prey.
Listening to the spicy game of words between DooSan and Kan, Yoon Suk decided that it was time for mockery and said, „When detective Kan says that he loves only women, it’s definitely so. Actually, last time he loved a woman, it had been necessary for SWAT to intervene, not to allow him to be killed because our „lover,” trying to escape from the paws of the „dove’s husband,” got out of the apartment through the window. Yet, he’d been lucky because he got stuck between…”
„Oh Yoon Suk!” Kan suddenly shouted, making everybody in the room wince. „Are you looking for your death, baby?”
At all bothered by the detective’s fury, Yoon Suk smiled and said, „Of course not. I was just updating Prosecutor Han with the last news. No one has been killed for that, or yes?”
„It’s what you think, baby: that nobody has been killed for talking more than he should have talked. So, if you don’t want to be the first to die for such a minor reason, I suggest you keep your mouth shut.” After that, furious, Kan headed toward the bathroom, aware that if he had stood there for longer, it wouldn’t have ended well for any of them for sure.
By leaving that place, Kan managed to make Yoon Suk keep silent. Not the same happened to DooSan, who, feeling itches on his tongue or maybe on his skin, said, „So, if we want to find the criminal, we should look for the „lover.” A remark that made him feel itches on his back too when he finally noticed Kan’s killing glance while this one was staying in front of the bathroom’s door.
That scene eventually made SolHi smile. Yet, understanding that she should be a professional before anything else, she cleared her voice and said, „Actually, you’re right, Hunting Dog, because we have a boomerang effect here.”
Showing her his teeth, DooSan asked eventually, turning into the most serious man in seconds only, „A boomerang effect? What do you mean?” Besides the questions, a thought started to spin in his head, that „She’s not stupid at all.”
He was actually right because SolHi hadn’t only been the smartest student in the Police Academy, but she also learned to find tracks there where nobody was able to find them. Just as she found them in that case, showing them the wound on the victim’s head. „Look over here!” She said, „This wound is about 8-10 centimeters long, and 2-3 deep. Someone that stood next to her, which means that she knew the attacker, made it. More than that, she hasn’t fought with him, something that tells us that she’s been attacked from behind.”
„She was taken by surprise then.”
„Bingo, Prosecutor Han, you definitely learn fast. Lucky you because I thought that you have a duck brain.”
„Do you always bite when you see the prey?”
„Only if she’s pretty.”
„Just like Prosecutor Han, who’s definitely a cute one,” joked Yoon Suk. Then, seeing DooSan and SolHi’s sour faces, he turned his back to them and headed toward Kan.
„I'll get used to it, one day,” said DooSan, shaking his head. Then, flicking the latex gloves in front of SolHi, after taking them off, he stood up.
Eventually, listening to her saying, „I’ll recommend you not to do this if you care about your neck, Prosecutor Han,” DooSan looked at her, confused. Moreover, when she said, „I mean, who knows: you can end up just like her.”
Smiling, because her commentary made him really feel well, DooSan said, „Don’t worry, puppy, your sharp fangs won’t ever taste from my sweet flesh. And now, let’s turn back to business: who do you think is the killer? One of her clients?”
„I'd rather bet on a jealous wife. You know, such things never end well.”
„Maybe. Or… it’s also possible that a hot game ended not as it was supposed to end.”
„With such a wound on the back of her head? Only if she was a maniac that loved to be hurt. Anyway, I don’t think that she was from your group, so…”
„Why? Don’t tell me that…”
„Don’t even dare to say that she’s from my group or I swear… I killed once, Prosecutor Han. You remember this, right?! Well, I can do it once again and, this place… is perfect for this,” growled SolHi right in front of DooSan’s nose, something that made him shut his mouth.
Eventually, when they heard, „Who the hell gave you the permission to touch my body?” shouted right behind them, both winced and, with pumped eyes, looked at the door through which the members CNS were just entering.
Thus, seeing who entered, DooSan reproachfully shook his head at first, to say laughing shortly after this, „Your body? Yeah, Park GhiYon, nobody touched you… yet. Only if you insist, to replace the dead one, I mean.” Nevertheless, he right away looked at SolHi, frowning, when she said:
„I see you know each other very well. Don’t tell me: a lover?” A remark that had been rewarded by a shout from the two men, who told her at the same time, „Did you lose your mind?” SolHi, however, at all bothered by their „anger,” only shrugged.
Seeing her so calm, GhiYon growled at her, „Rather than saying stupid things, you should move away from my body, newcomer!”
„If you say so?!” Said SolHi, somehow bored. After that, yawning, she turned her back to the two men, saying, „She’s all yours, doll lover.” Later, without paying attention to the fact that GhiYon was about to blow up that room, she moved away from them, approaching Kan and Yoon Suk.
Looking behind her while his jaw was slowly shaking, GhiYon asked, „Who’s… she?”
„She? Aaa, Ian SolHi! It’s a detective now and… news, we’re working together.”
„The famous headache?” GhiYon almost shouted. Something that made DooSan approach him and, covering his friend’s mouth, he forced GhiYon to follow him to the other side of the room.
Then, staying right in front of GhiYon, DooSan hissed through his teeth, „Did you lose your mind? How the hell can you shout this, Park GhiYon? It was a secret and… headache… it’s not about her. I rather call her the modern witch. Only the broom is missing.”
To his great surprise, GhiYon told DooSan, „Then, you should be careful, baby, because the modern witches are more dangerous than those from the past. Thus, who knows: you can get into her bed.” After that, he slowly tapped DooSan’s shoulder, grinning. Yet, seeing DooSan almost setting fire to that room, spitting fire through his eyes, GhiYon said, smiling, „Witch or not, she’s definitely right. And smart too.”
„About what?” Asked DooSan, deeply breathing in to calm down.
„That the victim was killed from behind. What she didn’t mention was the weapon.”
„And you know that without even looking at the wound? Don’t tell me: a wizard too?” Asked DooSan in mockery.
„Maybe I’m not a wizard like that one, but… I’m a CNS member, baby, something that gives me the privilege to know things. And about that wound: I saw it while entering, something that I also saw before. That’s why it hadn’t been hard for me to guess that it was made by a golf cross. So, what’s missing now is to find the player, Prosecutor Han DooSan, because her head has definitely been the ball!”
