Re: Chapter 21.1 & 21.2 - Sora's Ultimate Attack

Sora looked to his left. There was the man who tried to rip out his heart and a snake head….

Creepy Sora thought as he looked at the Serpant Tribesman. Sora for some strange reason felt in the looks department he did better….although that was not true.

I front of him was the woman whose attack he had dodged.

And to his right the red laced striped pantsu woman along with another man whom he had never seen before. Though his sense of smell did indicate that it was the same person who shot the lightening, at least now Sora could put a face to the spell caster.

‘So I have matrial artist in front and to my left…and poison lady and lightening man to my right….throw into the pack snake man….great….I’d say my chances of survival just went up from limit approaching zero to 1%. ’

To put Sora’s mathematical analogy in a simpler perspective, Sora felt from having zero chance of surviving his odds were now 1%.

Though there is the big question…how the hell did he survive for so long if his chances were 0% before? That is a mystery even Sorachan would not be able to explain. Could he call it simple luck? Fluke? Coincidence? Or even divine intervention? Or Sorachan's meticulous planning and brilliance? Sorachan's survival instincts and foresight?

There would be no answer to this question. It was not the first time Sora pulled off unbelieveable stunts like this one. There was the time when he was fighting the Hydra on his own in Royal Road and managed to get out of there unharmed….that was also the time his guild mates decided to make him leader of the guild…

Then there was the time when he was held hostage by the Triton’s in their underwater labyrinth in Royal Road…Sorachan was never even bothered then…and yet he managed to escape unharmed even then….

And when we fought a skeleton dragon in the Northern lands of Versailles…although he did receive help in that one, Sorachan was able to put the dragon to sleep….

The list really is endless when it comes to Sorachan and his adventures in Royal Road… simply worded….from one perspective it could be thought that it was almost as if the God of Luck or God of Gaming watched over Sorachan...from another perspecitive Sorachan could be hailed as a gaming genius…whether it was incredible luck or planned is something that will forever remain a mystery when it comes to Sorachan.

Sorachan was watching every movement his opponent was making before approaching. He was literally watching five people at the same time…thanks to his fly like eyes and slime like body.

The odds were against him. His enemies were stronger than him, faster than him and probably better than him in every way. They could use magic, martial arts or a combination attack.

Sorachan didn’t know their plan as Vanessa dictated it in another language but he would later realize that they did not intend to use magic.

Had this been real life Sorachan was confident that he would be able to get two out of three people. However, their strengths differed too widely. If Maylon and his match was anything to go by as the benchmark, then Sora knew he shouldn’t be surprised if he gets pounded in the first hit.

The five began circling him while slowly advancing forward.

The five knew that Sorachan was not an enemy that could be taken lightly. They learnt through their mistakes of continuous underestimating him.

Everyone was convinced that Sorachan held a few more tricks up his sleeve.

The soldiers maintained a parameter in circular like formation and watched. Some of them even casted a light spell to brighten up the place with the sun setting.

Vanessa could have taken more soldiers for the fight….but there was no honour in that….but more importantly it would have been too chaotic and would have done more harm than good. Soldiers could end up attacking each other…basically a coordination problem. The enemy was one and they were forty six.

The Serpant Tribesman removed his cloak. He only wore a thin tunic. His silver scales sparkled magnificently in the darkness. The man was well built and muscles covered every inch of his body….it was true for all the soldiers but none of it was visible for those covered in armour.

“Hmpphh..” Zacques snorted as he noticed his partner removed his cloak. Zacques would have done the same however Zacques did not have the tough coated scales that covered his partners body.

Obviously, the Serpant Tribesman wasn’t removing his clothes to show off his body but to make sure his clothes didn’t get damaged in the fight. It did have the unintended effect of making Sora gulp in worry seeing his muscular body.

Sora literally thought, ‘I am up against three of those…well at least I won’t mind it if the women hit me with those…he thought while looking at Serpent Man’s chest.’

Contrary to Sora’s expectations no one else stripped.

One could hear Sorachan sigh.

The seconds passed by like minutes and minutes felt as if they passed by like hours.

Sorachan was happy that they were leisurely taking their time. ‘Fools…’ As he began preparing for them.

The sun light was no longer visible and Sorachan’s smile ran from one end of his face to the other.

He made hand gestures as if he were closing notifications received.

Sorachan’s eyes shined as he looked at his enemies, he just reworked his survival chances to 10%.

Although they spent a long time staring at each other….when it began everything happened so quickly…

Vanessa and Zaques charged in first. Having predicted their intentions Sorachan jumped backwards to dodge. However, in this game guessing, Vanessa had guessed Sorachan’s move. She didn’t know where he would jump but all she needed was a fraction of second.

After their attack, she followed Sora’s gaze and moved towards the spot he intended to escape to.

The moment Sorachan landed on the ground. He received a kick from Vanessa which sent him flying four feet backwards.

‘F*ck’ Sora swore as he flew through the air.

With Vanessa’s attack delivering results, the other members grew more confident. Seeing Sorachan fly like that reinforced their belief that the enemy can be defeated.

The attack didn’t end with Vanessa’s kick. Ramona and Serpant man charged next giving Sorachan barely enough time to recover or plan his next move.

Sorachan didn’t bother getting up. He expected them to be faster than him and throw attacks one after another giving him barely enough time to attack….so how do you attack somehow lying down?

Ramona and Serpent stopped for a moment as they noticed Sorachan refused to get up.

They could run towards him and kick him….or jump into the air and kneel him….the attacks were somewhat limited.

Sorachan wasn’t in an advantageous position….but he made them think that he had a trapped laid out for them. Given everything that they had witnessed so far, they could not help but be distrusting.

Vanessa again came to the rescue of her team. “SWORDS!” She cried out to the soldiers who quickly threw their weapons (sheathed) to the fighting members.

Vanessa was once again equipped with her sickle like twin blades, Ramona had a long sword and Serpant Man had a spear. Zacques and Jacques didn’t fight with weapons, so they didn’t bother taking any.

Sorachan frowned as he noticed them taking on arms. ‘It looks like they won’t use magic but with use weapons….why?’

Sorachan jumped up and assumed a fighting stance.

Mini Radar Active

Adjusting night vision.

‘Let’s use everything.’ Sorachan thought as he motioned with his fingers like Keanu Reeves in the matrix, to his enemies to come fight him.

Ramona charged in first. Sora smiled as he she charged towards him.

Ramona was bothered by the atmosphere surrounding Sora. He was still as calm as the ocean before the storm. Even though Vanessa managed to land a clean hit on him he still seemed to be unfazed.

Ramona stabs Sorachan through. She intended to slice it through Sora and cut him in half however Sorachan did the most unexpected move, he grabbed her sword.

“I am going all out…” Sora said.

Ramona looked at him in surprise and slightly confused with his words. She furiously tried to dislodge the sword that Sorachan held onto. What kind of sick person enjoys having a sword lodged in their body? Ramona was not too good in the adventurers native language….so she didn’t completely understand it….or at least she thought she misunderstood it….she thought she heard Sora say, I will go all out now…yet he does nothing?

Sorachan unleashed his ultimate attack. An attack he had never used against even Maylon even though it was his ultimate trump card.

Sorachan, never used it against Maylon because he thought it was tantamount to cheating…however five against one is also cheating….and a fight to death does dictate all is fair in love and war?
