I waited and waited.
Well not in the hole, I made a drawing of the surrounding regions and drew three or four “X”s where I could possibly be.
I hope they understand it.
I took my time to observe the surrounding area. From the distance, I could tell that this city was no city. Only an idiot would consider attacking this city.
Patrol units on each wall, smoke signalling, you name it and they had implemented every medieval technology available. It wasn’t just having every bit of technology but the efficient use of such technology. Cerebrus it seems wasn’t such a rare animal and every patrol unit had a cerebrus. Just like modern day patrol units. I wouldn’t believe people of this era were capable so such thought…
It wasn’t just patrol dogs, but even the fortifications of the city were well planned. There was poisonous vines growing on the city walls (noticed that when someone dared to climb them insta-death). There were also booby trapped walls such as sudden spikes or barrage of arrows… essentially, don’t ever think of sneaking in through the walls…
And it didn’t just end with the planning of the fortifications. I believe in my many days of waiting. I even saw quality audits happening. There seemed to a large delegation checking walls and traps. Maintenance was being carried out regularly…upgrades…cleaning the traps (that’s when the removed the dead bodies…)
I have to say I am impressed with the person who could think of such a tight security setting.
Even if I wanted to, I am not sure I can break in.
Very impressive, this place was like the ultimate prison….except it keeps people from outside from getting in…(maybe I should have just called it a fortress….)

It’s been two weeks since the venus cave incident, as I am returning from my usual exploring spree I notice someone by the oasis…..it’s Gustav.
I didn’t think I’d be this happy to see him.
And yes, I remembered not to smile.
Gustav is now dressed all properly in a nice shirt and pant.
I wouldn’t have recognized him had it not been for my scent recognition ability.
Gustav saw me approach. He didn’t reveal any expressions but just provided a bag.
I thanked him for it as I accepted the bag. It had everything I had asked for; clothes and bandages.
As I entered the hole to change, I noticed Gustav leaving. “Don’t leave me! I am just coming!” I blurted out. I don’t want to be alone. I hate being alone. I don’t mind if they don’t talk to me but I need some kind of company other than insects and rats…
Gustav stopped and looked at me and said, “Soon.”
“Soon? You mean the Abbe will come and get me soon?” I confirm with him.
Gustav nodded.
“Okay…then ask him to get me food as well.”
Gustav nodded again; with that much Gustav departed.
I didn’t put on the clothes or the bandages. I just hid them. I didn’t want them to get dirty while I waited for the Abbe.

A week passed and nothing worth mentioning happened except for the arrival of the king?
I am not sure who had arrived but the security that day had been quintupled.
I couldn’t tell from the distance, however a young man dressed in a black suit...yes a male suit from our era walked to the main gates. Other than his black hair there was no particular feature of his that stood out. He was accompanied by another man….not sure if any of you know kuroshitsuji. The second man gave of the same vibe. He was dressed just like the black butler and there was definitely something sinister about him…my danger warning senses were going of the chart just seeing him.
The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
If I were a cat, I’d be hissing right now in terror.
“Hisss”
I am not sure if he noticed my gaze or strong defensive instinct but that man looked in the direction I stood. I was at least a league away but when he looked in my direction I felt he was looking at me.
I was sweating. Yes, the abnormal sweat of cold fear.
I think I blinked because in that instant a dark voice behind me spoke. “What do we have here?”
I spun around quickly and jumped back defensively. Instantly changing my arm into a lance.
Yes, that “guy” was standing behind me. I didn’t even bother checking the gates to see if he was still standing there…he was in front of me right now…and oozing with blood thirst.
My senses were screaming at me to run.
This guy is bad news.
Definitely a monster class dooms day monster.
Even if I wanted to run away, I couldn’t.
Spore release is now active
I think I learnt of a new skill which I had no idea I had. Though it feels like déjà vu when I see the message.
“What are you?” I barely managed to say that sentence.
“Oh! You can speak?” The Black Butler seemed to be amused.
He intensified his presence and blood thirst.
I fell to my knees.
I felt as if I was being stabbed with a million knives just with this man’s stare.
WHO THE HELL WAS HE?
It was becoming harder to breath.
The pressure this “guy” was releasing made it difficult for me to even breath.
His killing aura was unbelievable; I don’t think I could have even imagined monsters like him to exist in this game.
“I have never seen a monster like you…” He said as he stood next to me.
Holy f*ck!
When did he get so close to me!
He was like standing ten feet away!
This guy is scary as f*ck.
He touched my lance arm with this finger…it collapsed back into its original blob form
“Slime?” He muttered to himself.
How the hell did he do that?
“I have never encountered a slime that can assume a human form….” He released the pressure he was exerting just enough to let me speak. “Speak.”
“What are you?” I could barely speak. I am scared as sh*t.
The man placed his hand on my shoulder, “I can kill you right now….”
I began shivering.
This man is not joking, if he says he will kill me, he can do it easily.
I know it…I can feel it.
Kuroshitsuji just smiled. “However, my master has not ordered me to kill you. I have no obligation to kill something so weak. Listen well monster, harm my master and die..”
I think I heard him chuckling and saying something like “so interesting” before vanishing into thin air.
I collapsed on the ground.
Was that damned thing a Guardian?
