“Don’t leave me!” Ai cried out as Sora ran in attempt to ditch her behind.
“Then start calling me Sora-sama!” Sora shouted back without looking at her.
“Aaaaaa!” Ai screamed out in frustration.
Having created sufficient gap between them – about a 200 meters or so, Sora stopped and turned around and said. “Sora-sama or Master. Choose.” It really wasn’t a choice in one sense but Sora gained some devious satisfaction from this - troubling her.
Ai pouted her cheeks in anger. She didn’t like Sora or what he was trying to get her to say.
“Lolicon-sama?” She asked. In her mind this was a compromise.
The words were powerful it hit Sora like a tsunami of pebbles. He stood still like a statue – was she intentionally trying to annoy him. He was convinced that she knew what the ‘L’ word meant and was just doing this to tease him. However, Sora wasn’t going to stand and listen to her taunts. He decided to ditch her – he rather be alone in this desert than have the company of a twerp who kept calling him L****.
Seeing Sora walk away, black ink like liquid began dripping out of the edges of Ai’s eyes – that’s how an undead cries (very horrific).
Sora paid no heed – these were Sora’s many qualities; being completely empathetic to those around him. There were many time before in Royal Road where Sora broke the heart of many young maidens and girls because he wanted to do things his way or he wouldn’t participate at all– partially a reason why Sora has been single all his life. People also viewed Sora as a spoilt whenever he fussed to have things his way. Hence, Sora wasn’t popular amongst the general masses or normal people either for the above mentioned quality.
“Waaaaaaaaaah!” Ai began crying loudly as the distance between them widened. She was frustrated beyond her wits. Firstly, she was just a child. Secondly, she had been roaming in the desert for the longest time ever with no hope of finding anyone – now that she did she didn’t get along with this person. Lastly, Ai too was used to being spoilt (before her parents were killed).
Ai and Sora were very similar in this way though for different reasons. Sora was intentionally vicious and mean to have things his way. Ai, unlike Sora, was a child – a child who has experienced anyone saying no to her whims and fancies.
Sora continued to ignore the undead child and kept walking on. He really, couldn’t bother with a crying brat. Sora had desires but he wasn’t foolish enough to take care of a child – much less an undead which called him L*****.
Ai took a moment to stop howling and see how far Sora had gotten – pretty far. She was stunned how Sora didn’t even look back at her once – he kept walking and walking. It was really as if he didn’t care about her. Although she cried for real, she was used to receiving attention and lots of kindness when she cried. It became a bad habit of Ai and she would cry whenever she needed something. However on Sora this was not working. It was as if Sora knew those tears of her were not coming from the heart. Ai maybe a child but she was a sly child. To Ai, Sora was clearly a formidable foe who saw right through her.
Not giving up, Ai ran behind Sora. So what if he is trying to ditch her? She can always follow him.
Sora took notice of the little girl running behind him to catch up to him.
[tch]. Sora began running faster and further away from her. He found her truly bothersome – she had a high pitched voice, called him a nasty name and had no clue how to hunt. For a companion those were very bad qualities.
“Aaaahh!” Ai screamed as she upped her speed as well when she noticed that Sora had taken notice of her.
Now it wouldn’t be wrong to say, that Ai is *stronger* than Sora, this naturally translates to faster as well. There were two reasons why Ai is stronger than Sora – first she is a higher category of undead when compared to Sora and second she is of a higher level.
Ai easily caught up to Sora.
Sora stopped running when he realized she could easily match his max pace. His efforts had been futile.

“Fine, if you are going to follow me, I won’t stop you but I certainly will ignore you like the air. I will treat you like the wind or an invisible person.” Sora declared – standard 101:How to frustrate younger children .
Ai thought Sora was joking but after a few minutes realized he was not joking.
He never made any passing comments nor did he laugh on any of her jokes. She even tried standing in front of him to block his path but Sora tried walking over her. She tried tugging Sora’s clothes from behind but at that moment he quickened his pace. She tried dashing against to make him fall over but he was able to dodge her top speed (Rule One had been activated).
Ai stopped dead in her tracks – being ignored brought up something from her past.
“WAAAAAAAAAAAAH” She started crying really loudly and for real this time.
She had never met someone so frustrating before. Someone who could completely get to her. He was like an evil person taking advantage of her situation. She completely hated Sora.
“WAAAAAAAAAAH” She cried even louder seeing Sora kept walking on – ignoring her.
In this large desert there is only one rule for travelling – never make too much noise.
*Rumble*
The earth shivered slightly.
Sora stood still feeling the slight tremors.
“WAAAAAAAAAH” Ai continued crying; she didn’t pay heed to the tremors rather she was so lost in crying she didn’t feel them.
[Earthquake?] Sora wondered as he felt the vibrations grow louder.
Sensing Danger!
Unable to ascertain number of targets.
Sora looked at these messages with great curiosity – it all seemed so nostalgic.
Scent picked up.
This message particularly interested Sora – since he had no nose as a skeleton.
[Could it be my slime senses are connected to my interface?] Sora wondered.
The trembling became more violent.
Scent recognized: Desert Worm
[F*ck no!] Everything came flooding back to Sora in an instant.
A mini-map popped up in front of Sora’s vision however he quickly closed it. Based on his previous encounter he knew exactly how far the worm was. Sora dashed towards Ai – who was very much confused why Sora was running towards her.
Ai was frightened. Sora was running towards her with his eyes burning red – seeing a skeleton with bright red eyes come at you at full speed can surely be a scary experience. Ai was frightened by Sora – is he angry at me? Is he coming to hit me?
Ai who has no combat experience doesn’t even understand she is stronger than Sora much less have confidence of being able to fight back.
Ai tried to run away but she was so frightened that her legs wouldn’t budge and when they did the ground beneath her was shaking so violently that she ended up tripping. Ai grew even more frightened since she had never experienced an earthquake before. She was panicking and had no clue what to do – thus she began crying even louder and louder.
Sora rushed towards her and pushed her away, at the same time the sand where Ai had been sitting erupted. A massive pillar of white rings shot up through the sand and stretched into the sky.
Ai froze up in terror – dangling on her shoulder was Sora’s left arm – that was all that was left of Lolicon-sama.
