Even without being informed beforehand Sora tacitly understood his position – he was well aware of the fact that he had accidentally stumbled into a dungeon. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Sora was even aware of the difficulty level of the dungeon or its rarity. Why did Sora know all this? Experience. This was not the first time Sora had entered a monster dungeon – the last experience was in Royal Road.

Sora carefully examined the ceiling – watching the floating jelly fish. It would appear that there were over hundred of them. Each one bobbing around aimlessly – leisurely. He was certain that they would attack him if they took notice of him.

There were also three tentacles hanging loosely from the ceiling – although they appeared to be completely harmless, Sora could guess that they were the most dangerous threat in this area. On the surface those three tentacles appeared only slightly larger than their counterparts located in the previous area however that slightly larger appearance was all that Sora needed to know that these were mini-boss level tentacles.

Based on his examinations of the previous smaller tentacles – they had an effective stretch zone of 15 meters however the slight increase in volume could mean that these three had an effective range of 25-30 meters. Sora could guess this much because he had once been a slime. The effective slime reach was determined by the level of stretch he had attained and the total slime volume. Even a slight increase in his slime volume had helped him greatly increase his reach. Although Sora could only guess what the actual effective range of the three tentacles was …however he concluded since the room that contained them wasn’t so large they possibly couldn’t stretch outside the boundaries of the room.

[Then let me find out what Skeleton mode is truly capable of…] Sora thought as he stepped into the room. It was a different area compared to the previous area as if contained not a speck of sand. Unlike the previous area it was completely clean. Although it was an insignificant detail – Sora was worried upon noticing it. Dungeon rooms which were orderly and clean were the worst. Sora felt a little uncomfortable as he stepped on the pink ground – possibly monster flesh.

The moment Sora stepped on the pink ground the floating jelly fishes which had been wandering about aimlessly suddenly began buzzing like bees! Their movement became very violent as they darted in a zigzag manner.

Sora examined all this very carefully – there was nothing else that he could do. It was not like as if he had a sword that he could use to cut and dice his opponent. In fact, Sora believed a sword in this situation would be counterproductive and would only slow him down. He had the option to take a step back but as long as the jelly fishes weren’t attacking him….

The moment Sora took the next step, the neurons in the jelly fishes flared up. These white translucent jelly fishes couldn’t hide the electrical circuitry of their brains from their prey – which Sora believed was most crucial since he could guess their weapon of attack – electricity.

Sora loosened the bindle and hung it across his shoulder. Sora then reached out for some slime from his bindle. He greased his body with slime as much as he could be deciding to continue. As long as the slime clung on to him – Sora was confident he would be fine.

*Deep breath* Sora was tense.

Certain that there was no one watching, with any warning, Sora immediately dashed across the room. It was a smart choice – the jelly fishes began letting loose blue bolts of lightning at him. Behind each step Sora had taken there was a tiny black scorching patch left behind – had Sora not been running as fast he could he would have surely been hit.

Sora grinned as he dodged each attack; it reminded him of a certain training lesson he had been forced to undertake at the dojo. The skeleton mode was certainly faster than the slime mode running otherwise Sora would have been hit ten times by now. To be exact the skeleton mode was nearly twice as fast as the slime mode.

Though one may wonder why Sora has a need to dodge lightening especially since he is greased up in his electricity resistant slime. Sora had his own line of reasoning he didn’t know if the slime would work just because he covered himself in it. Further, the last time he was hit with lightening he was out cold for a brief moment. Sora certainly couldn’t afford being out cold. For these two reasons, Sora determined it would be better if he avoided being hit with lightening.

The moment Sora crossed the half mark in the room, the three tentacles which were equi-distant from him (triangle formation), became active. Sora took notice of their awakening however his focus was locked on the exit – a valve (very similar to the ones located inside Jabu Jabu).

Sora was a few meters away from the exit when his body went flying – Sora had been hit.
