Terror gripped the Erito forces.
It was tiny and nearly inaudible “Ouch” but it had a huge and devastating impact.
Ramona froze where she stood. She actually had her leg on the adventurer. She slowly dug her heels into the body, just to make sure it was the adventurer and not anyone else.
“Ouch?” a reply came back from the corpse.
Ramona looked like she was about to cry. She had no idea absolutely why she was standing on the corpse. She thought she could relax Vanessa by doing something funny…she wanted to show everyone that adventurers aren’t a big deal….
“Could you open your legs wider…I think I might be able to see your pantsu then…” Sorachan mumbled happily as he looked up Ramona’s skirt.
“KYAAAAAAAAAA!!!” The most high pitched deafening squeal of the Vice Commander of the Erito forces.
Ramona jumped up into the air in fright. She squealed as if there was a mouse in the room. No... mouse was something that she would have killed. This was far more terrifying. It just survived one of her most deadly spells….worse still it was peeping up her skirt….
Ramona was completely embarrassed on multiple levels….a pervert looking up her skirt….soldiers hearing their supervisor squeal….but none of those feelings reached her. She was completely gripped by terror as she understood that the adventurer was still alive.
Ramona ran towards Vanessa and quickly hid behind her. She grabbed Ramona’s shoulders in fear…as if holding Vanessa as a shield?
Nobody would have made fun of Ramona. Everyone felt a boulder fall into their stomach when they heard the adventurer speak.
He didn’t even sound remotely injured. In fact, he sounded completely fine.
The soldiers and even seniors wondered if this man …. This adventurer in front of them was simply mocking them? He was so completely casual about strolling into a military city that produced some of the finest soldiers for the Empire….and he was completely laid back as he tackled the Elite forces of the city…..
The soldiers were scared, only the strong dare to mock the weak.
They weren’t fools, if anyone mocked them, they would simply kill them….but they have been trying to kill this adventurer for a while now….
In fact everyone’s memory was still fresh.
First, they tried to zap him with lightening.
Then, rip out his heart.
Lastly, drown him in poisonous gas.
Yet, the adventurer still lives.
All common sense dictates, that the adventurer should die.
Yet, here stood an adventurer …a perverted adventurer that defied all common sense.
Sorachan slowly got up. He wouldn’t have said “ouch” intentionally. It not like he wanted to blow his cover….however Ramona stepped on his human ***** and mixed with couple of intense feelings….Sorachan let out a tiny ouch.
The second ouch came from the fact that he felt quite refreshed….and different. There was silver lining in the moment….kind of feeling. He wasn’t worried about being surrounded by bloody thirsty adventure hating soldiers….he wasn’t worried about his fake acting being revealed….he wasn’t even worried about dying…. Oddly enough he knew something with this way of thinking was wrong….but he didn’t seem to care....the thought of attaining nirvana did cross Sora's mind....but he didn't think that he had quite earned that yet....
“Striped.” He said as he got up and picked up his heart.
“YOU REALLY SHOULDN’T GO ABOUT RIPPING PEOPLE’S HEART!” Sorachan cried out as he looked at Zacque and held his heart up in the air. He was showing it to everyone present; things to do and not to do.
“RIPPING OF HEARTS IS BAD!” Sora went on. “I WANTED TO SAY THIS TO YOU….YOU LITERALLY STOLE MY HEART….BUT I DON’T SWING THAT WAYS….”
The soldiers cringed as they heard the last bit…the adventurer sounded drunk and he was most definitely spouting nonsense.
“AND WHATS UP WITH YOU LOT? SHOCKING AND RIPPING AND POISONING? YOU DO THAT TO ALL YOUR TOURISTS??” Sora was swaying as he tried to walk towards Ramona.
The soliders between him and Ramona raised their shields.
“SHE IS WEARING RED LACED STRIPED” Sora declared as he pointed his finger at Ramona.
That sentence definitely got heads turning. Ramona wasn’t particularly hot….unless you consider DD cups hot….coupled with a slender waist….red head?
Ramona was face was heated up red as she burnt in embarrassment.
Sorachan however took no notice. He was struggling to put his heart back from the hole that the soldier had created when ripping it out.
That too was a curious sight.
Everyone watched it silently.
Almost everyone was thinking the same thing. ‘What the f*ck is he trying to do…’
And when he put it back in…everyone felt horrified, disgusted and nauseated…that heart had been places…mostly in someone’s hand and on the ground….but still….
“AND… WHY DO YOU… KILL…PEACE OUT DUDES…LIVE AND LET LIVE…” Sora continued with his sermon once the heart went back in.
A soldier crept in from behind….but he had the most fatal timing….at that very moment Sorachan farted.
Now Sorachan’s fart doesn’t come out the way it does for humans. Remember Sorachan is slime…80% slime. When Sorachan passes gas….it simply “comes out” of his skin….something like sweating.

*FSSSSSSSSSSSS* a tiny sound of something ripping through the air....
A thick green gas, much like the poison Ramona used was disbursed into the air. Completely swarming Sorachan and nearby the soldiers. The only difference between the poisonous gas Ramona used and the one Sorachan passed was …Sorachan’s smelt a lot worse….mostly rotten desert rats….(Sorachan had quite a bit floating within him).
The impact was immediate. The soldier behind Sorachan instantly dropped dead, even those around Sorachan died.
“OOOPPSS…” Sorachan exclaimed as he looked horrified while watching those nearest to him drop dead.
Soldiers immediately took a step back, it would turned into a stampede to escape had it not been for Vanessa’s presence of mind.
She quickly used magic and shot a blast of wind at the poison. In one move she diluted it and moved it away from causing further harm.
The soldiers, however, were still very nervous.
This person unwittingly…or maybe wittingly just killed eight more of their comrades in a flash…more like a breeze….but whatever, the point is eight soldiers instantly killed.
The gap between Sorachan and the soldiers now was at least fifteen feet.
The soldiers just couldn’t trust their Commander’s words about that five foot radius.
Even Vanessa couldn’t trust her sense of judgement.
The Adventurer defied all norms of logic. For instance that last attack, did he know that he was about to be attacked from the back? Or was it just fluke?
And if it was fluke, what about the last three times when they tried to kill him? Were those flukes as well?
When too many flukes line up it normally isn’t a fluke…her opponent was strong. Strong to the extent he was leisurely toying with sixty (now 46) of the Erito forces.
“NOBODY USE MAGIC!” Vanessa warned. Vanessa felt she finally figured it out. Sorachan had the ability to reverse any magical attack done to him. If people used lightening, then he would zap them back, if they used poison then he would poison them back….as long as they didn’t use magic it would be fine…. Of course Vanessa had no clue she couldn’t have been more wrong…and in fact was one attack short of using fire….however this is something she never learnt about….so no point getting into it.
Her soldiers could argue that martial arts has no effect either….like even ripping out his internal organs did no damage…but Vanessa felt that they stood a better chance if they tried to use martial arts. Her hunch came from the fact that Sorachan dodged her first strike. It was a powerful and fast sixteen blows to the chest.
Vanessa explained her theory to everyone.
Almost all the soldiers agreed.
What she made logical sense.
It was decided that Vanessa along with a team of four others (Zacques, Jacques, Ramona and Sliver) would attack the adventurer. It wasn’t coincidence that they all happened to hold positions of seniority in the Erito forces. Vanessa picked the team such, so that she could undo Ramona’s shameful squealing.
The five stepped forward as they did so dark foreboding clouds hovered over the city. It was almost like an ominous sign that they should not challenge the adventurer. However, Vanessa was determined to see this through. Their honour as warriors (especially Ramona’s) had been trampled and trifled with. This was not something they would let go easily. All of them had been shamed by the adventurer. Vanessa for her poor judgement in deciding the opponents strength, Jacques with his broken record, Zacques with his martial arts move, Ramona with her poisonous gas and Sliver who declared him dead. Each one of them had been humiliated by Sorachan. If they backed down now, they would never be able to right the wrong against their honour and would live a life stained by a humiliating story….or so they believed.
Vanessa especially, was in denial that her judgement was wrong. She refused to accept it. She could see the stats that she was reading and they all read; weakling. Her brains and instinct was screaming that the person in front of them was a complete novice….yet why…what was this inexplicable fear she felt?
Could this person fate be so strong that the universe would move to protect? Vanessa was in spite of herself. She couldn’t believe that she thought of something so dumb and illogical.
It began raining, thunder and lightening tore through the skies.
Sorachan had recovered after expelling all poisonous gas from within him. The poisonous gas that Ramona released had the same effect as did drugs on humans did.
Essentially, Sorachan was high after he absorbed the poison.
He didn’t intentional soak it up….his body was like a natural sponge when it came to poisonous gases.
Sorachan looked around. He had no idea how much time had flown by but the sun was setting.
A smile crawled on to Sorachan’s lips…so far he had been worrying about the sunlight….but now….not only is the sun setting….but it’s also raining.
Luck had never favoured him before as much as it did right now.
