Chapter 7 Monica Montero: The Beautiful Swordswoman

As the tall swordsman advanced on Chloe, her mind raced. Rosemary, she thought, you better help me this time.

Rosemary gave a deep, unsettling belly laugh. "As if helping you bound off of rooftops wasn't helping. But ce la vie, since you're my pet body, I can't have you die here!"

Demonic energy charged through Chloe's small body with her arms and legs becoming purple and veiny. Unfortunately, Django had used Chloe's idleness to lift his sword up and bring it right down on Chloe's head.

With lightning fast reflexes, Chloe caught the sword between her hands.

"What...what are you?!" Django gasped.

"I...am not only the queen of the pirates," Chloe rasped as her demon eye shone so hard it shattered the fabric of her eyepatch. "I am the demon queen of the pirates!"

"Diablo…" the high voiced swordman gasped. He quickly yanked the sword out from between Chloe's hands.

"Malevolent being or not," Django announced and leveled his sword with Chloe's neck. "I will slay you in the name of my proud heritage!"

With demon fast speeds, Chloe flung herself forward and punched Django square in the chest. The killer toppled backwards, but a strange sensation in Chloe's hand made her stop. "That was oddly soft…"

Django flipped back to his feet and began twirling his sword left and right with deft grace. Chloe didn't have time to react as she was still distracted by the feeling of punching Django.

"Don't just stand there, my Queen," Ramone cried but it was too late.

Chloe had been punctured in the arm with Django's rapier.. "I see you were distracted by mi chest…" the swordsman laughed. "Well you aren't the first and you aren't the last. But now, that is your fatal flaw like all the others."

Chloe hissed and growled from being run through. Rosemary's voice echoed in her head. "Let me finish this, you pathetic welp. It seems you cannot win without me completely overriding your body."

Chloe's subconscious was pushed aside in favor of Rosemary's. Now Chloe was merely a spectator in her own battle.

Chloe's voice had changed to dark and sultry as her demon eye swiveled in different directions observing the battle at hand. "Ladies and gentleman," Chloe said in a sultry woman's tone. "Performing her elegy of death, the fabulous Rosemary!"

Being a demon singer, Rosemary had mastered a song that would pull anyone into a deathlike state before finishing them off. As she belted tragic words in her ghostly operatic tenor, everyone ranging from Django to Ramone to Rene all began to wearily stumble back and forth. Chloe begged and pleaded with Rosemary to stop. Her elegy of death would kill Django but also Rene and Rammy.

Rosemary did not stop. It seemed everyone was simply a cog in reaching her goal.

"Ay dios mio," Django the killer gasped in an oddly feminine voice. "This diablo child is gonna finish me, unless…"

Django dropped his sword and ripped off the velvet cloth mask on his head. As he did, Ramone and even Chloe gasped. Long dark hair spilled out like a root beer float from Django's head, her eyes batted with lengthy eyelashes as a pair of ruby red lips pursed. Django also wore large silver hoops from her ears. It soon became clear to everyone that Django the killer was actually a woman.

"Django...is that really your name?" Ramone stammered.

"No cabro," Django said in her accented voice. "My name is Monica Montero. The Beautiful Swordswoman!! Master of the Loveblade."

She seized her sword again, holding it close to her chest.

A smell of aphrodisiac wafted through the air as she sliced her sword in the shade of a heart. An aura of pink magic formed in the air and hit Chloe.

Suddenly, the girl dropped to her knees and Rosemary relinquished control of her mind.

"Huh?" Chloe said, blinking her eyes open. "Where am I? And what happened to Django?"

Her cheeks flushed. "All I see is this hot woman."

"Now that I've disarmed the diablo," Montero quipped and focused her brown eyes directly on Rene. "It is time for me to finish the real Django the Slasher."

The waiter brushed his silver blond hair back and smirked. "The Loveblade huh? I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks!"

Chloe and Ramone's eyes nearly bulged out of their head. "He's really Django?!" both said with their jaws dropping.

"Surprise surprise," Django laughed in a very squeaky voice.

He removed his lollypop from his mouth with a sneer."All this time you thought I was merely a handsome waiter, but leetle did you know that I'm one of the most infamous butchers in all the eastern sea!

The real Django narrowed his eyes. "What gave me away?"

Montero didn't share his mirth. "That lollypop you suck on...even if you changed your face...you can't change your diabetes!"

"Ah…" Django said, widening his eyes with surprise. "Very perceptive!"

The female swordswoman extended her blade at him and started stalking towards him like a tiger hunting her pray. "Five years ago to this day, Django, you killed my brother. Now I will kill you and have my revenge!"
