Bursting out of the circus tent, was a creature half the size of it, and twice as fearsome as all of the clowns put together. It pounded out on two, giant crustacean claws, causing enormous tremors as it moved. Behind the massive appendages that could sever a ship's mast in half was a scale covered eyelid. It opened, revealing a blood red eye that wandered around the room searching for its prey. It let out a shriek, terrifying everyone from the combatents in the ring to the politicians in the stands.
"Creepy crustaceans!" Vinnie the Eel shouted. "Dat thing is scarier than all the girls I dated's mother-in-laws put together!"
"Do you date a lot of Heldritch abominations, senor?" Monica asked caustically.
"Eh..." Vinnie said. "As a mutant, I take what I can get!"
Chloe pounded her fists together. "Finally a challenge! Fienmond's Demollusk looks like it's gonna put up a fight. Unlike these clowns!"
"Hey...I resent that," one of the clowns on the ground rasped, before Chloe kicked him in the head.
"Oh yeah," Chloe smirked. "It's monster mashing time!"
With the enhanced strength of a demon, Chloe sprinted on the ground towards the creature's massive eye. "How about a nice black eye!" Chloe shouted as she soared at the beast.
Without warning however, the beasts eye shut itself. Chloe's powerful veiny fist bounced harnlessly off its protective layering and she flew backwards into the ground.
She growled as her allies surrounded her. "That things got reflexes faster than a...blink of an eye," Rosemary taunted her.
"The only thing more awful than this beast are your puns," Chloe spat, shaking off the pain in her hand.
"No worries, captain Chloe" Vinnie said. "Vinnie da Eel's got yer back."
Vinnie's hands transformed into green-and-yellow electric eels and he fired several bolts from them into the mollusk's eye. Once again, it closed quickly, sending the stray lightning every which direction.

"Gah..." Vinnie muttered, his eely hands running out of charge.
"That's not much of a shock," Monica said caustically. "Pardon the pun. It seems that film around the eye is impenetrable!"
"Den how are we gonna kick its tookus?" Vinnie demanded.
"You're not!" One of the clowns laughed. He stood behind Monica with his salt water carnation ready to blind them.
"Oh no you don't, estupido,"Monica shouted and she deftly drove the sword into the clowns stomach. He tumbled backwards. "How do you like that? I told ya I'd bag a clown before the night was over!"
Once he hit the ground, Monica observed the carnation and her eyes lit up.
She seized it and shouted to Chloe. "Chica," she cried. "Get me close to that mollusks wandering eye!"
Chloe grinned. "You got a plan, swordslady?"
"Si!" she shouted. "Get me close and that repugnante is gonna need a trip to the demon eye clinic!"
With her super strength, Chloe scooped the full grown Monica into her arms and ran as fast as she could at the Demollusk. The creature swung its claws brutally. Vinnie and Sunny and John Lion all ducked and rolled out of the way. Chloe leapt up onto its lengthy appendage. She ran dashed along the top of its arm until she reached its eye, which gazed at Monica and Chloe with seering intensity. It was then Monica grinned and squirted the pump on the carnation, spritzing salt water into the beasts eye. It grew veiny and cracked, with red lines edging across the filmy surface.
The beast let out a terrible shriek as it was blinded. As Chloe and Monica landed on the ground, they admired their handiwork. The beast writhed and screamed loud as it blindly bumbled its way around the arena. Suddenly, Chloe held her head. She heard what sounded like the sound of waves pulsating in her head.
"Huh?!" Chloe muttered. "Why do I hear the ocean in my head?!"
Chloe heard Rosemary's voice echoing in her brain. "That sounds like..." Rosemary said dumbfounded. "A call?"
"A call of what?" Chloe answered back.
"The call of the mollusk!" the demon eye responded. "I can feel it too. Jump on it, let it become your steed and we can end Fienmond once and for all."
"Out of all the crazy things I've heard today, Rose," Chloe muttered. "This takes the cake. But alright."
She sped up, her legs carrying her tiny body faster than sound itself and she scaled the wandering mollusk. Landing on top of its head, Chloe felt the beast's heart beat inside of her head. "Whoa," she said. "This is crazy. How can I even do this?!"
"Let your heart beat as one," Rosemary answered. "And control it like a stallion."
Chloe placed her hand on the beast's head and let its pulse erupt through her body. The heartbeat synced with her own. "Forward..." she commanded. "Into the stands."
Fienmond's singular eye widened from the balcony. The demollusk made a beeline straight for the stands. Politicians from all sides bailed and ran as fast as they could. "Just as planned," Fienmond said as Leroy crashed into his balcony, bringing everything down with it.
All of Chloe's allies watched in horror as the ruins of the wooden balcony fell to pieces. The demollusks body lay in a pile of shattered wood. Could she have survived such a blow?
