Chloe and her crew made a break for the exit. They emerged from the tent as the cabal of clowns and performers gave chase. The aspiring pirate queen had a few stragglers with her that she hadn't bargained for. For one, there was a clown girl riding a lion. Said girl had previously ratted her out to Fienmond. But as they escaped out into a stormy night, back onto the whale boat. She couldn't even refuse such trecherous ex foes. They had to leave the island before the golden chains from the Sea King's trident untethered Fienmond and his Demollusks from their stasis.
"Raise thar anchor!" Captain Abacab roared and his colorful imitation whale boat sailed out into the night.
They were at last, free. Or so it seemed. A gargantuan black cloud stretched over Three Ring Isle creating a pocket storm over it. Once they turned tail and left, it began to follow them.
"Uhhh guys," Chloe shouted, pointing at the sky. "Big cumulfreakus cloud at 10 o' clock!"
The cloud had suddenly shifted from looking like a regular storm cloud, to a demonic face with a freakish maw, dropping low as if to swallow their boat. Its eyes were golden bolts of lightning that radiated deep in the night.
"I've heard of stormy weather ahead!" Captain Abacab stated blunty. "But not stormy weather behind!"
"HAH-HAH-HAH!" the cloud's voice tumbled from within its stormy depths. It blasted bolts of lightning that zapped the Whaleboat's window vane of a liccan. Ramone jumped up in the air to avoid another bolt out of the blue.
"Somebody get those lightning rods off the ship!" Abacab exclaimed.
"Excuse me, kind sir," Ramone shouted. "Those are my horns!"
"Yeah," Sunny exclaimed from the top of John Lion. "How would you like it if someone took your trombone and threw it off your boat."
"I don't have a trombone," the captain roared.
"You said his horns!"
Captain Abacab slapped his face. "Argh. This new child is gonna be the death of me!"
Monica smiled back at him. "Finally someone who annoys you, abuelo? How about you use your mighty pirate skills and get us away from the cloud of doom."

"Right on, mateys," Abacab said and he ran to the top of the Whaleboat's head to steer.
Chloe watched anxiously as the whaleboat started to turn away.
Another blast came from the sinister cloud. Electricity twisted itself around the boat's railing and disapaited.
"Yow," Vinnie exclaimed. "Dats more wattage than my killer watt eels!"
Suddenly, Chloe's eyes lit up in the dark of night. "Hold the shellphone!" she cried. "Vinnie! Can you handle electricity?"
"Ma hands are electric eels!" Vinnie smirked. "Of course, toots."
"Can you redirect the electricity away from the boat?!"
Vinnie rubbed his hands together. "Oh it iz on, little lady!"
The bold gangster followed Chloe to the top of the Whaleboat and held his hands to the sky. "Bring it on," he cried. "Even da forces of nature can't overpowah my love for Monica!"
The cloud's lightning bolt eyes glowed an ominous yellow as the lightning charged up. Observing his face, Chloe saw Vinnie's lip tremble. He bit it as a boom of thunder sounded.
Vinnie held his hands out and they miraculously transformed into the neon green and yellow electric eels. In a flash of light, a charge of electricity zoomed directly at his body. Chloe wanted to flinch, but Vinnie wasn't flinching. If her crewman wasn't, she wouldn't.
The blast of lightning flew straight into Vinnie. He roared loudly and slid backwards. Chloe turned her head to watch him as he juggled balls of lightning in his eel-hands. "Hey," he said. "Looks like I picked up sumthin else from my time at da circus!"
"Great!" Chloe said, nearly awstruck. "Now fire it right back at that mean ol' cumulufreakus!"
"Awe right," he cried. "Right back zap ya!"
Vinnie fired a supercharged electric bolt right that the cloud. It let out a suprised roar. Lightning came straight back at Vinnie but he caught it again and blasted it at the cloud. Soon, him and the cloud were trading blasts of lightning back and forth. "Dis is easy peasy!" he shouted with a smile on his face.
Abacab continued to pilot the Whaleboat further and further away from the cloud. As as they traveled further from Fienmond, the cloudy mass disapaited. At last, the cursed cloud had become nothing but a regular storm cloud.
Everyone on the deck cheered. Vinnie and Chloe traveled down the steps of the Whaleboat where they were greeted by Monica and Ramone.
"Ey..." Vinnie exclaimed. "How do you like dem eels?!"
"My hero!" Monica gushed for a second before catching herself. "I mean, nice job, repugnante!"
"Arr," Abacab growled. "Why does the prettyboy get all the compliments from the beautiful lady. I helped too..."
"Well...I..." Monica stammered.
"Just kidding," Abacab said with a laugh. "Yar ar like a daughter ta me!"
Everyone joined in a rousing round of laughs until they had to address the uncomfortable elephant in the room. Or rather the lion on the boat. Sunny stood smiling on the edge beside John Lion. And even worse, she had brought the unconscious body of Chief Inspector Valcom with her. Everyone stood in silence over the fact that this clown girl had brought one of their biggest enemies onto the vessel.
