Back to sometime before. On the other hand, Yukari and Shu reached the below front part of the dam; Yukari then looked up at the high dam building in front of her. At the hillside part of this dam, there is a concrete road with steel guardrails; along the dam, where every part that had a waterfall, there are bridges that connect this concrete road. Yukari and Shu walked together side by side while looking around them. Yukari’s expression turned curious.

“Looks like it will take time to find clues here, Uncle."

Shu nodded

“Right, we have to keep looking.”

They continue checking their surroundings.

To their left is the shallow part of the river, and to their right is the dam building and a row of small storage buildings containing some generators like on the above part of the dam. Shu opened the door of one of these small storage buildings, its contents looked similar to those on the top of the dam, and these generators were worn out and starting to rust. Yukari said

“This place has been abandoned for a long time. The person who often comes here is not the caretaker of this dam.”

Shu nodded

“Yeah, I guess because there's a new power plant. But that only makes this place a good location to hide something, right?”

Yukari nodded. Before long, they felt a small earthquake. Yukari looked astonished

“Suddenly, there was an earthquake.”

Shu appeared to have realized something.

“Maybe this is indeed not an earthquake….”

Shu walked out of the storage building; Yukari then followed him.

As soon as they arrived at the front of the door, they were surprised by Asanuma, who was suddenly thrown high above them and then crashed into the suspension bridge in front of the dam, causing the iron cables to vibrate violently and destroying some parts of the bridge railing, Asanuma then immediately held on to this bridge. Yukari and Shu looked towards the above part of the dam and noticed the giant centipede Yokai they had previously fought yesterday. Yukari’s expression turned surprised.

“That centipede Yokai again; how did he get here?”

Shu’s expression turned serious

"You’re right; it's weird. We have to help them."

Yukari nodded. They then ran away and walked up the stairs to return to the top.

Back to Ken and Makoto, the centipede Yokai is about to attack Asanuma again. The centipede Yokai raised his body as high as possible; he pounced with a hard stomp toward Asanuma, shattered the concrete surface he stood on, and flew across the ravine to the suspension bridge in front of the dam. Asanuma immediately dodged to the other side of the suspension bridge and caused the centipede Yokai only hit the suspension bridge and made the bridge shake violently again, and caused some of the steel cables supporting the bridge were broken off in several parts. The centipede Yokai crawls up the bridge all the way, causing the suspension bridge to get tense. At this stage, Makoto and Ken, who were still on the other side of the dam, couldn't do much.

On a suspension bridge, Asanuma moved backward to keep the distance from the centipede Yokai. The giant centipede Yokai crawled on the suspension bridge, wrapped it in six circles with fast movement, immediately shortened the length with Asanuma, and then immediately pounced on him. The centipede Yokai's mandible clamped Asanuma's body from the front. Asanuma immediately grabbed this mandible and tried to hold it with his two front legs, which resemble human arms and hands, whose collision caused a strong blast of wind.

The long Centipede's Yokai body was wrapped around the suspension bridge, causing the bridge was getting destroyed, but it had not yet collapsed. Not long after, Shinra, the size of three meters high, ran from behind Asanuma over the bridge. Shinra immediately pounced toward the centipede Yokai, scratched its head, and landed hard on its back. Shinra’s attacks made the centipede Yokai wobble until it finally released its mandible clasp on Asanuma, and his head fell hard to the bridge's surface. The centipede Yokai lost its balance; Shinra then grabbed the back of the centipede Yokai’s head using the five armored claws of his paws which resemble a human hand.

Seeing this opportunity, Asanuma immediately planned an attack. Asanuma pounced toward the centipede Yokai and grabbed its head. The centipede Yokai was knocked backward towards the side of the bridge, hit and destroyed some part of the bridge railing, broke the supporting cables of the suspension bridge, and then fell further down until the centipede Yokai finally plunged into the river along with Shinra and Asanuma. The coils of the centipede's rear body also finally detached from the bridge and plunged into the shallow river in front of the dam. Their fall is hard enough to cause the waves to spread everywhere like a small tsunami. Asanuma and Shinra stood on their feet and could keep themselves from drowning because the river in front of the dam was only one meter deep. The centipede Yokai which had just received multiple blows stood up again but was still staggering.

Back to Ken and Makoto, they ran along the dam and arrived at the other end of the suspension bridge in front of the dam. Ken and Makoto looked a bit tense while trying to fix their shortness of breath. Ken said

"What should we do here, Grandpa?"

While still trying to fix his breathing, Makoto’s expression turned serious.

“I have a plan to help Asanuma and Shinra.”

Hearing that, Ken's expression turned curious. Makoto took out his smartphone and called Shu.

Elsewhere, Shu and Yukari had just finished walking up the stairs back up and looked exhausted. Soon Shu's smartphone rang; he took it from his long pant pocket. Makoto looked slightly surprised when he knew Shu had called him. While fixing his panting breath, Shu then answered the call.

"How are you and Ken?"

Makoto replied

"We're alright, Shinra came at the right time, but we must help them.”

Shu looked a little surprised

"The giant centipede Yokai is no match for us."

Makoto replied

“Right; therefore, I have a plan. We'll use the suspension bridge to fall on the centipede Yokai. After my signal, we cut all four ends of the bridge cables together."

Shu looked slightly surprised.

"Good idea; I don't think there's any other way…"

Makoto replied

"Alright, you guys go to the end of the suspension bridge, Me and Ken have been waiting at the other end of the bridge."

Shu tells Yukari the plan, and they immediately rush to escape. Arriving at the designated position, from a distance, they could see the silhouettes of Ken and Makoto; Shu then called Makoto. At the other end of the suspension bridge, Makoto and Ken also could see the silhouettes of Shu and Yukari. Makoto picked up the phone; Shu then said

"I'm in position."

Makoto smiled

"Okay, wait for my signal."

Makoto lowered his smartphone from his ear, then looked at Ken

"Now it's your turn. Order Asanuma to do as we have planned"

Ken's expression turned confused

“But he's way down there. Should I shout to him?”

Makoto appears to realize something.

“Remember the training when you tried to influence Asanuma's attack moves with your will?”

Ken nodded. Makoto continue talking

“Try to do the same thing this time, so he can at least have an inkling of it.”

Ken's expression turned serious

"Okay, leave it to me."

Ken concentrated; he then thought to himself.

“Asanuma, lure the centipede Yokai below the suspension bridge, so we can let it fall on him.”

Asanuma and Shinra appeared to be preparing to strike back the centipede Yokai, and they then got into their respective stances. The centipede Yokai in front of them started to raise his body high. Shortly after, Asanuma felt something like a hunce; he looked around in astonishment. Asanuma thought to himself.

“For a moment, I thought I heard Ken's voice...”

Not long after, Asanuma appeared to realize something; he thought to himself.

“Wait a minute, perhaps.”

Asanuma glanced toward the bridge and saw Ken and Makoto watching him from one end of the suspension bridge. Asanuma said

“So that's why...”

Somehow, Asanuma already understood what to do; he then looked at Shinra

“Follow me; Shinra, Ken, and the others have a plan to defeat this centipede Yokai.”

Asanuma immediately left here. Shinra was curious; he then also ran away from here, following Asanuma's direction.
