The time now is 6:45 pm. Suga has changed into a black shirt tucked in with an open neck button, black trousers, a belt, a Yokai Controller Association overcoat, and boots. Suga walked out of his room while carrying his black katana sword sheathed in a black scabbard, with something resembling black bandages hanging down and wrapping some part of the hilt. Suga walked along the corridor; Nellson followed him while occasionally landing on the floor and waiting for Suga to pass.
When he almost arrived at the inn’s entrance, Suga met Mrs. Unjyo, who then looked at Suga with a surprised expression.
“Hisoka san want to go somewhere?”
Suga smiled.
“Right, Unjyo san. I want to enjoy Kagohara town’s night atmosphere.”
Mrs. Unjyo smiled; her attention was then fixed on the black katana sword that Suga was carrying.
“That katana sword....”
Suga immediately explained.
“Oh, this? I’m just cosplaying, and of course, this Katana sword is just decoration and blunt, hahaha.
Suga forced a laugh, then smiled.
“Nellson, who likes to do cosplay, is probably because of my influence.”
Mrs. Unjyo was slightly surprised to hear that, then smiled awkwardly.
“Okay, Hisoka san. I am very happy if you enjoy your time in Kagohara town. Then, I’ll excuse myself.”
Mrs. Unjyo bowed politely to Suga, who then did the same. Mrs. Unjyo walked away from here, and so did Suga.
Suga walked out of the inn’s entrance; the night sky looked clear and slightly cloudy, beautifully decorated with stars. Suga walked towards the bicycle he had rented and parked in one of the bicycle parking slots next to the inn. Nellson flew ahead of him and landed on the concrete near the bicycle, Suga then rode his bicycle.
“Good, now all preparations are ready.”
Nellson looked at Suga in surprise.
“It’s a bit weird if it’s like this, but it can’t be helped.”
Suga looked at Nellson with an astonished expression, then smiled.
“I would say unique instead. Let’s go, Nellson.”
Nellson nodded, then flew and stood in the basket attached to the front of the bicycle's handlebars. Suga turned on the headlights of the bicycle under the basket, then pedaled away from here.
Suga rides his bicycle around the town while carrying his black katana in his left hand. Suga and Nellson watched around them carefully. The town's atmosphere is quiet; they passed residential buildings, shophouses, schools, parks, etc., lit by lights from buildings and street lights, but nothing appeared suspicious.
Sometime later, Suga sat at a bus stop with its own lighting, and Nellson stood on the same long seat beside Suga. Suga sat while drinking a canned drink from a vending machine near the bus stop. Suga’s bicycle was parked on the side of the road in front of the bus stop. Nellson looked around in surprise.
“We didn’t see anything out of the ordinary tonight.”
Suga nodded.
“That’s right, whether I should be happy because if we see something unusual, it might be a sign that someone will gone missing.”
Nellson nodded.
“That’s right. Don’t let us hit a dead end in our investigation.”
Suga’s expression turned serious.
“You’re right. Let’s continue our patrol.”
Suga threw his drink can into the garbage and got on his bicycle. Nellson flew into the bicycle’s front basket. Suga then pedaled his bicycle away from here.

The time now is 9:30 pm. A 16-year-old girl walking at night in Kagohara town. She has long black hair and is in the second year of high school, the same age as Suga. She was Ishikari, wearing short-sleeved pajamas, long-pants pajamas, long-sleeved jackets, and sneakers. She walked at an accelerated pace, aided by a flashlight to light her way, on a sidewalk in a quiet shophouse area with a worried expression. Ishikari was focused on what she was chasing in front of her: a girl with long black hair wearing a dull high school uniform, a long-sleeved shirt, tie, skirt, black socks, and loafers, with pale skin covered in bruises. Finding that the girl in front of her also quickened her pace, Ishikari ran after her. But the girl wearing the school uniform also started running, as if she knew she was being chased without looking back.
Ishikari was crossing the street when Suga, who was on patrol, saw her crossing the road on the pedestrian crossings at the crossroad. However, when Nellson and Suga saw Ishikari, the girl in front of Ishikari whom she was chasing had already ran far enough so that Nellson and Suga didn’t see her. Nellson looked at Ishikari with an astonished expression.
“What’s that girl doing at this time of night?”
Suga’s expression turned surprised.
“I don’t know either, but I have a bad feeling. We’d better check it out soon.”
Suga pedaled his bicycle quickly and chased Ishikari.
When Suga arrived at the crossroads, he turned right to follow Ishikari and saw that she was quite far ahead. Ishikari was standing on the sidewalk with a dark wilderness before her. Not long after, a girl’s voice was heard in a loud whisper intonation.
“I am here, Ishikari. Help me.”
Ishikari looked doubtful while pointing his flashlight at the forest but finding nothing. Ishikari’s expression turned doubtful.
“Are you really there?”
The loud whispering voice sounded again.
“Come here; you will find me soon.”
Ishikari was lured by those words; she then walked forward about entering the forest. Behind Ishikari, Suga had just arrived with his bicycle facing towards Ishikari. Just a few steps almost entered the forest; Ishikari stopped because she heard Suga’s voice from behind her.
“Are you okay?”
Ishikari was taken aback and immediately turned to face Suga.
“Yes. I mean, no.”
Suga’s expression turned astonished; he got off his bicycle and walked up to Ishikari while carrying his black katana in his left hand. Nellson watched the two of them from inside the basket curiously. Suga said.
“What are you doing here?”
Ishikari was surprised; her expression then showed that something was bothering her. Ishikari turned back towards the forest.
“I saw my friend who went missing in a recent missing person case.”
Ishikari’s expression turned doubtful for some reason. Suga was surprised to hear that.
“Is it true? Where is she now?”
With hesitation and looking bothered, Ishikari pointed at the forest’s darkness before them, surprised Suga.
“You mean she went into the forest?”
Suga looked towards the forest, and his expression turned bothered as he thought.
“Have I finally discovered the truth of stories about people who have gone missing wandering the town at night?”
Suga said.
“You wait here; let me check it.”
Just taking a step, Ishikari grabbed Suga’s forearm to stop him. Suga stopped and looked at Ishikari in surprise. Ishikari’s expression turned scared.
“You’d better not do that.”
Suga was slightly surprised to hear that; Ishikari then released her grip from Suga’s forearm.
“I’ll explain, but we must get away from here soon.”
Suga was surprised, then nodded.
“Of course.”
They walked away from here towards the middle of the town. Suga also took his bicycle and led it beside him, with Nellson still on the basket. Without them noticing, something watched their departure from inside the forest’s darkness.
The time now is 9:55 pm. Suga led his bicycle on the right, walking with Ishikari on his left. Nellson was still standing in the basket and turned around to watch the two of them, making Ishikari look at Nellson in surprise.
“Your pet owl appearance is unique....”
Suga was a little surprised, then looked at Nellson.
“You mean Nellson? Sorry, I forgot to explain if he really likes doing cosplay like he is doing now.”
Ishikari’s expression turned astonished, but she believed it. Suga took out his ID and showed it to Ishikari.
“I’m Suga Hisoka, a government investigator assigned to work on missing persons cases in Kagohara town.”
Ishikari’s expression turned astonished.
“I’m Ishikari, nice to meet you.”
Ishikari looked at Suga’s ID and smiled.
“Investigator? You’re even the same age as me. Is this ID card fake?”
Suga smiled, then put his ID back.
“It’s fine if you don’t believe me, but I have an obligation to carry out the investigation.”
Ishikari’s expression turned astonished.
“Wait a minute, so you serious?”
Suga looked astonished.
“Do I look like I’m joking?”
Ishikari noticed Suga’s appearance, who carried a katana sword, and Nellson, who Suga said was doing cosplay.
“Honestly, it’s hard for me to believe it. Are you doing some kind of cosplay with Nellson, Hisoka san?”
Suga looked a little surprised to hear that.
“Yeah, this katana I brought is just decoration and blunt, no need to worry.”
Ishikari looked a little surprised. Suga appeared to realize something.
“What are you doing at this time of night Ishikari?”
Ishikari was surprised, making Suga look astonished. Ishikari’s expression turned gloomy.
“Since you’re not from this town, you’ll have difficulty believing what I’m telling you.”
Suga’s expression turned deadpan.
“It depends on what you want to tell. But that doesn’t change the facts if it happened.”
Ishikari glanced at Suga and nodded.
“As I said before, I saw my female friend, one of the missing victims in this town. I felt happy and wanted to help the first time I saw her, but something was strange.”
