Season 2 [Chapter 88: The Chase]

Season 2 [Chapter 88: The Chase]

Elsewhere, the driver is waiting in the car he had parked in the parking slot on the side of the highway, not too far from the subway station entrance where Suga was. Shortly after that, the driver’s smartphone rang, and he immediately picked it up.

“Yes, Mr. Suga?”

Suga replied.

“I have sent you the access to this station’s surveillance cameras, I want you to notify me if you see the arrival of the hyena Yokai. I’ll be sitting on standby at the subway station and awaiting his arrival. If something unwanted happens, immediately change the displays of the existing surveillance camera recordings.”

The driver’s expression turned serious.

“I understand sir.”

Suga and the driver ended their call. The driver prepared a laptop which he then put on his lap. The driver connected this laptop to the program Suga sent, and the laptop screen displayed what was on the computer screens in the surveillance room; he could even control the computer and the surveillance cameras too.

Back to Suga and Nellson. Suga put his smartphone back in his overcoat's inner pocket. Suga looked at Nellson and smiled.

“It’s time to return to your medium form Nellson, I will call you again soon.”

Nellson nodded.

“I understand.”

Black smoke began to billow from all over Nellson’s body. Suga lifted Nellson, who was still billowing black smoke with both hands, then walked towards the long chair and sat there as before.

Outside the room, the security guard was walking while carrying a flash drive in his hand, heading towards the surveillance room. Arriving in front of the door, the security guard opened the door and immediately went inside. He saw Suga sitting in his original place with a distant look because Suga's eyes were blind again. Suga held the wooden keychain Nellson, which was still a little smoky, then put it back in his overcoat's inner pocket. The security guard slightly saw something strange about what Suga was carrying with him, the black smoky wooden keychain Nellson. The security guard only looked surprised for a moment and didn’t mind it; he then walked up to Suga.

“I have copied all the files onto a flash drive, you can take them with you. You don’t have to return the flash drive again.”

The security guard said while handing the flash drive to Suga’s right hand. Suga accepted it and smiled.

“Thank you, sir. Sorry to bother you.”

The security guard looked reluctant.

“You’re welcome, no need to think about it. I’m happy to help.”

Suga smiled and nodded. Suga excused himself to go, then walked out of the room.

Suga walked through the subway station with the help of his sheathed black katana as a cane for blind people. Suga’s katana then hit one of the empty waiting chairs with a backrest in the middle of the station near the tiled concrete pillar next to it.

“Is this seat empty?”

No one answered. After confirming the seat before him was empty, Suga then sat on this waiting chair and used the katana to support his hands in front of him. Suga thought.

“Now I just need to wait for him.”

Suga’s expression turned serious.

The current time is 10:00 pm. The atmosphere at this subway station is quiet, with only a few people here. Elsewhere, the driver monitors the subway station's state via surveillance cameras, which are now connected to his laptop. Not long after, the driver contacted Suga from his earphone connection.

“The atmosphere was slightly quiet and I controlled the surveillance cameras there. You can call Nellson if you want.”

Suga smiled.

“Great idea.”

Suga took the wooden keychain of Nellson out of his overcoat’s inner pocket and held it in his right hand.

“Come Nellson.”

Shortly after that, black smoke billowed from the wooden keychain of Nellson and grew bigger; from behind it, Nellson appeared the size of an ordinary owl and stood on Suga’s lap while occasionally trying to keep his balance. Nellson and Suga whispered to each other, and Suga could soon see with his eyes no longer looking far away. Nellson flew using his six wings and moved to stand next to Suga on the same long chair as Suga. Nellson looked around this quiet subway station.

“The hyena Yokai hasn’t come yet?”

Suga shook his head as he smiled.

“Not yet, referring to the surveillance cameras footage we checked before, he should be coming soon.”

Nellson looked curious; he then nodded.

The current time is 10:30 pm. The atmosphere at the subway station is getting quieter; Suga is still sitting in his original place while leaning and reading his smartphone; Nellson is standing next to Suga and looking at him curiously. Not long after, the train came from Suga’s right direction and stopped at this station; the people who had been waiting then started lining up to get on the train. After the train stopped completely, the automatic sliding doors opened, and the passengers started walking out.

Unexpectedly, Nishiyama the Hyena Yokai walked out of the train at the train exit right before Suga, who sat on the long chair, waiting for him. Nishiyama is wearing a baseball cap, a bomber jacket with a hood that he pulls over his head, black jeans, and black sneakers. Nishiyama walked with both hands tucked into his jacket pockets, with a sharp groove pattern black tattoo on his neck. It didn’t take long for Nishiyama to notice Suga sitting in the long waiting chair not too far before him, and so did Suga, who immediately noticed Nishiyama's arrival. Their gazes met, and each of them looked surprised. Nellson looked at the both of them curiously. Nishiyama sighed while closing his eyes for a moment, he then walked towards Suga, and there appeared to be no sign of him will running away. Nishiyama sat beside Suga with Nellson who stood between them. Without looking at Suga, Nishiyama said.

“I admit, you guys found me pretty quick, even though actually I also feel a little bored waiting for you guys.”

Suga smiled as he closed his eyes briefly, then opened them again.

“How about you just turn yourself in so this matter can be over quickly?”

Nishiyama grinned.

“You should already know the answer to your question.”

Suga’s expression turned serious.

“What can we do about it.”

Suga prepared to pull out his black katana from its scabbard. Nellson immediately opened his six wings and prepared to attack. The three of them were silent in their respective places for a while. Not long after, the waiting train closed the carriage doors and began driving away from here.

Nishiyama got up from his seat; Nellson, who was still the size of an owl in general, pounced quickly towards Nishiyama. Nishiyama flung his hand and hit Nellson hard, making Nellson bounce sideways, hit the floor hard, and shatter it. Suga was surprised, he immediately pulled his black katana sword from its scabbard while slashing it toward Nishiyama, but Nishiyama could block it quickly and immediately ran towards the moving train. Nishiyama didn’t take long to reach the train; he jumped onto it and landed steadily on top of the rear carriage. Suga ran after Nishiyama but was too late, and the train had left completely from the station. Suga immediately gave a hand signal to Nellson.

“We’re after him Nellson!”

Nellson immediately responded. Nellson concentrated; his whole body then billowed black smoke, enveloping him and getting bigger. From behind the black smoke, Nellson reappeared with two meters of body height. Nellson then flew low quickly towards Suga, and when he arrived at Suga, he grabbed the handrail on Suga’s back with the grip of his talons and flew Suga towards the tunnel where the train left and entered the train tunnel.

Back at Nishiyama, he is kneeling on the top of the train's rear carriage and looking towards the back of the train with a deadpan expression. Shortly after that, the train began to move up the rail uphill and out of the train tunnel. Nishiyama’s expression turned serious as he thought.

“Are you going to give up that easily Suga?”

Shortly after, Nellson flew quickly out of the train tunnel and shortened his distance from Nishiyama even more. Nellson carried Suga as if Suga could fly like an angel. Nishiyama smirked.

“As I thought you wouldn’t give up so easily....”

Suga’s two-foot kicks kicked Nishiyama, making Nishiyama fall backward a few meters away. After kicking Nishiyama, Suga landed steadily on top of this rear carriage; with Nellson also landing steadily not far behind Suga, Nellson’s talons firmly gripped the top of the train and made the gripped part dented. Nellson landed hard enough to surprise the passengers inside the train's rear carriage. From the earphone connection, the driver, who had lost Suga’s visuals on the subway station surveillance cameras, then contacted Suga.

“You’re chasing the hyena Yokai sir?”
