Shu's expression turned curious, he then looked at his car’s side view mirror which he raised by the control button from inside the car. Shu's expression turned surprised when he saw what was reflected in his side rearview mirror. In the night sky behind them, a black giant crow Yokai was flying closer and closer toward them. Shu spoke through his right earphone

"I think we've got a pursuer, did you see it?”

Makoto and Ken looked at the night sky and also saw the crow Yokai, their expression then turned shocked. Makoto replied

"Yes, I saw it, we should be able to run away from him"

Makaoto and Shu stepped on their gas and accelerate their cars. However, the giant crow Yokai can still shorten the distance from them.

The crow Yokai looks at Yukari and Shu's car, he then concentrated his strength and soul energy, causing red smoke billowing from his beak. The crow Yokai opened his beak and from within his mouth appeared a bright red light, he then shot this red light toward Makoto and Ken's car. Seeing that from the side rearview mirror, Makoto immediately swerved to the right, that red light hit the street and exploded, shattering it and sending the pieces of the street flying everywhere. Several other cars that happened to be passing by looked shocked, so they braked suddenly. Ken looked shocked

“What the heck was that just now? I don’t know if a Yokai can do that”

Makoto’s expression turned serious

“Hang on, it's not going to be easy”

The crow Yokai opened his beak a little and billowed grayish-black smoke which forms something resembling long sharp teeth.

The crow Yokai flew closer again to them while opening his claws on both legs about to grab them. Makoto maneuvered his car to the left while Shu to the right to evade, causing the crow Yokai's claws attacks only clutching and shattering the asphalt road. Makoto said over the earphone

“It will be difficult for us to escape in the open road like this”

Shu’s expression turned serious

"We Should split to confuse it"

Makoto looked disagree

“That will only make our defense more exposed”

Asanuma who was sitting in the back seat replied

“Leave it to me, I have an idea”

Hearing this, Makoto looked at Asanuma from the middle rearview mirror with a curious expression, while Ken then looked back toward Asanuma also with a curious expression.

Hearing that, Shu and Yukari looked surprised

"Don't dodge? Are you sure?"

Makoto looked convinced

“No, but we have a plan, we have to get the crow Yokai as close as possible to us”

Shu’s expression turned serious

The crow yokai flew closer and closer toward them, Asanuma climbed onto the top of the car through the car window, and black smoke billowed from all over his body and then enveloped him. Asanuma pounced toward the giant crow Yokai which at the same time immediately enlarged his body size almost in an instant to three meters high. Asanuma collided hard with the crow Yokai, causing them to tumble down hard together and rolled on the road, shattered the road to pieces, and throw in all directions.

Because of Asanuma's attacks, he managed to temporarily paralyze the crow Yokai. Asanuma immediately got up from the fall and then ran towards Makoto's car which appeared to slow down his movement so that Asanuma could easily catch up to them. After Asanuma was close enough to Makoto's car, black smoke started to billow from all over Asanuma’s body and enveloped him, he then jumped toward Makoto's car in front of him which at the same time his body shrunk back to the size of a wolf in general, and landed back on Makoto's car. Asanuma got back into the car through the open car window and sat back in the back seat of the car. Makoto accelerated his car again and Shu immediately caught up with him. Ken looked amazed by what just happened

“Amazing Asanuma! your plan worked”

Asanuma smiled

"You can thank me later"

The two cars sped forward swiftly, the crow Yokai appeared to have gotten up again, and it was too late to resume the pursuit. The crow Yokai watched closely in the direction of both cars were going, he then ran over the road while assisted by both wings then take off with a hard stomp, and shattered the road. The crow Yokai flew higher and then disappeared into the darkness of the night sky.

Back to Makoto and Ken, now they can drive more peacefully with Shu and Yukari's car following them from behind. Makoto said over his right earphone

"Let's drive to another area first to make sure the enemy doesn't follow us"

Shu replied

"Yes, I agree"

Shu then muted his earphone. Yukari appeared still in surprise from what just happened

"What we just went through, I can hardly believe we survived"

Shu's expression turned serious

"I gotta admit what just happened is really unusual"

Yukari's expression turned curious.

“So it's true that even Uncle finds all of this unusual?”

Shu nodded

“That crow and centipede Yokais both are armor types where they are in the phase of reaching their greatest power and could be even greater. On top of that, I didn't see their controllers…”

Shu appeared to have something bothering him. Yukari replied

"Does that mean the Yokai was unsealed?"

Shu looked doubtful

“Maybe, I’m not sure”

Yukari looked surprised. After some time driving and making sure the situation is safe, they begin to drive in the direction they should be. The two cars then entered the suburban area where the Takeru family's main house was located.

The time now shows 11:45 pm. Finally, Yukari, Shu, Makoto, and Ken arrived at their destination, the Takeru Family main house area. The two cars passed the front gate that was wide open and entered the front yard of the house. The two cars parked in front of the entrance door of the house, Makoto's car in front, and Shu's car behind, each of them then got out of the car. Yukari looked around her in amazement, Ken and Makoto then walked over to Yukari and Shu. Makoto smiled

"Welcome, let's enter the house"

Said Makoto while inviting them, they all then walked into the main house.

Inside the house, they are now in one of the living rooms on the first floor with a carved glossy wood frame long armchairs, single armchairs, a row of tall window doors that lead to the backyard of the house, and other classic furniture. Makoto invited them to sit, and the four of them then sat on these armchairs. Ken carries the glove puppet Asanuma and Yukari carries the stuffed doll Shinra on her lap. Makoto said

"It takes hard work just to get here"

Shu smiled

"Yes, thank you in advance for helping us"

Shu stood up from the armchair then gave a bow and so did Yukari. Seeing them, Makoto looked reluctant

"No need to be reluctant, I just want to help you guys"

Hearing Makoto’s words, Shu and Yukari raised their heads and then smile happily. Shu's attention fixed on the glove puppet Asanuma on Ken's lap, his expression then turned curious

"So, that glove puppet is the medium of the Yokai that you control?"

Ken lifted his glove puppet Asanuma and showed it to Shu

"Uncle mean this? Yes, his name is Asanuma, a wolf Yokai”

Ken is now the one who is interested in the stuffed doll Shinra on Yukari’s lap

"Is that stuffed doll also a Yokai medium?"

Yukari smiled, she then lifted her stuffed doll Shinra and showed it to Ken

"Right, this stuffed doll is also the medium of the Yokai that I control, a tiger Yokai named Shinra"
