At first, Makoto taught Ken's defensive and attacking stances and corrected them. It appears that there is not only one stance, and Ken can choose his own. Makoto taught Ken basic movements, to difficult movements of mixed martial arts, and Ken appears to be able to memorize them quickly. After it was enough, Ken’s breath looks out of breath, while Makoto is not. Makoto said
“You should make more efficient use of your stamina Ken, now we continue with sparring”
They then prepared themselves for sparring. Ken entered the stances, While Makoto did not appear to enter the stances, and just stood there, paying close attention to Ken. Ken predicted how to attack, and he then dashed toward Makoto.
After getting within his attack range, Ken launched a punch at Makoto. Makoto appeared to be able to dodge it easily. Makoto then tackled Ken's leg and made him fall. Ken immediately got up from his fall and immediately charged toward Makoto. Ken launched a side-down kick, but Makoto was able to parry it. Ken immediately launched a new attack on Makoto, Makoto appeared to be able to block it and or avoid it easily. Ken did not give up and continued to launch attacks. But unfortunately, Ken didn't manage to land even a single strike that hit Makoto. Makoto looked bored, he then tackled Ken's leg again, making Ken fall. Makoto said
"There are still too many gaps in your attacks Ken, close it again!"
Ken rose from his fall and then kneeled. Ken thought to himself
“If this continues, I won't be able to land an attack on grandpa”
Ken stood up from his fall and then pick up the stances ready to attack. Makoto said
“Carefully study my defense and attack”
Ken kept his grandfather's words in his head. Ken then ran forward quickly, aiming for his grandfather. Makoto didn't appear to budge from where he was standing.
A few days later, Ken appears to run towards his grandfather, at a fast and steady pace, then launches a punch and kick attack. Unlike the previous few days, Ken's attacks were highly organized, and unlike before, now Makoto was using defensive stances to defend himself. Not only parrying attacks, but this time Makoto also seriously countered Ken's attacks, using his fists. However, it appears that Ken can also compensate. While sparring, Makoto thought to himself
"Ken is talented, it doesn't take long for him to overwhelm me"
Their fighting continued, until they finally stopped each other, still in their stances, gasping for air, it appears that they try to fix their breath. Makoto got out of his stance and said
"Enough up here for our practice, we will continue after a break"
Hearing this, Ken also got out of his stances. They then ended their practice by them giving a bow to each other.
The current time is 12:35 pm. Shortly after Ken and Makoto ended their training, Hirazo walked up to them while clapping his hands
“You guys are so amazing, I thought I would never be able to interrupt you guys training”
Ken and Makoto's attention was focused on Hirazo, they didn't appear to notice Hirazo's presence, during the practice earlier, due to the focus on sparring. Makoto said
"You've been here all this time Hirazo?"
Hirazo replied
"Yep, I've been waiting for almost an hour for you guys to finish training. You guys are so focused on hitting each other, hahaha”
Hirazo laughed for himself. Makoto smiled

Makoto's gaze turned to Ken

Ken gave a nod, his expression then turned curious. Makoto took back his Yokai weapon, and the three of them then walked away from here together.
They arrived in front of a Yokai Weapon forging building before, they then walked inside. Inside the building, the atmosphere in this place is as usual, except for there is a sword holder, with on top of it is a katana sword that is sheathed, with sturdy carvings along the concave part of the scabbard, this carving is gray colored and looks like other parts added to this katana's scabbard. On the hilt, it is wrapped with a black upholstery cloth with dark red ornaments, and the scabbard is black. It appears that this katana has a length of 1.5 meters, plus 30 cm for the hilt, with the handle on the curved part near the base of the scabbard, making Makoto look a little surprised to see it.
Ken looks surprised to see this too, he then walked over to his katana. Ken took the katana sword, which didn't look as heavy as it looked. Ken's left hand gripped the handle on the scabbard of his katana, and his right hand gripped the hilt of this sword. Ken then pulled the katana from the scabbard, it appeared that the sword could be pulled straight from the concave part, a mechanism that when the sword is pulled out or re-sheathed, there is a part that can open and close automatically in the concave part of the scabbard, to clamp the katana sword. This mechanism makes the katana easy to be pulled out and also easy to put back on its scabbard. Seeing this, Makoto looked a little surprised, he then thought to himself
"So that's what the handle on the katana's scabbard is for..."
It appears that the sturdy carving along the concave part of the scabbard, now joins along the concave part of the katana blade, and turns out to be part of the blade, this carving is thicker than the blade of the katana sword and looks like another part added to the blade of this katana. The blade of this katana has a glossy black dark purplish color. Seeing Ken's katana sword design, makes Makoto look amazed, he then turned to Ken
“Your katana design is good Ken, and the mechanism of the scabbard is awesome”
Hearing this, Ken's attention which had been on his katana, then turned to Makoto. Ken smiled
“Yes, but all of this is also because of Uncle Hirazo's help”
Makoto smiled and gave a nod. Hearing Ken's words, Hirazo appeared to smile happily.
Ken looks amazed by how detailed this katana is. Ken tried to swing it carefully using only his right hand and felt that this weapon didn't have the slightest troublesome weight, making Ken look surprised
"This weapon is very light, like a bamboo sword"
Ken remembers his previous practice when using a bamboo sword. Hearing this, Hirazo's expression became surprised, as well as curious
"Are you sure? Even though the sword weighs about 2 kg without a scabbard and 4.5 kg with a scabbard”
Ken was surprised again
"Is uncle not wrong? The weight of this sword at its heaviest must be only 0.5 kg”

Ken now carried his katana in his left hand, then received Makoto's katana with his right hand. Immediately after, Ken's expression turned surprised. Ken weighed the two katanas with his hands, then saying
“Grandfather is right, my sword which is bigger in size, weighs less than Grandpa's sword. I just realized it"
Makoto explains more
“This refers to a Yokai weapon that is already finished from a Yokai. You as the owner of the Yokai weapon and Asanuma controller get this advantage, while I, continue to use my sword with proper weight. But there is more to it than that, namely when Yokai weapons are given a mark of ownership”
Hearing this, Ken's expression turned curious.
