Lizzy immediately left for Eur and she did it openly. This was part of the plot so that the spies that would be playing the bad guys would have a seemingly open motive to target the Fallen Angels Guild as their Guildmaster was gone. Naturally, their guild would then use this as a front to attack the Pantheon Guilds for breaking the truce first. Everything went as planned right as Lizzy returned to Eur.
“Guildmaster, the Fallen Angels just attacked one of the Guilds from Pantheon…” Satania reported to Eos after she received news of the Fallen Angels’ big move that disrupted the truce between the guilds.
It was at the most crucial period as well and Eos couldn’t help but frown when he received the report.
“What are they thinking? Why did they act rashly like that?”
“Apparently, a group of players from the Pantheon sabotaged their contribution quest run right as they were about to finish. It seems to be true because the Fallen Angels’ quest wasn’t completed.”
“...And they just retaliated without discussing anything?”
“It seems so…”
“Tsk, they’re planning something but now that aggressions have renewed...Haaah, looks like the Void Sea Realm’s opening will be delayed again. Have there been any movements on the Pantheon side?”
Satania nodded and turned on a video inside of the Nine Hells Guild’s meeting hall.
“As you can see, the Fallen Angels began indiscriminately attacking all of the Pantheon guilds without warning and now they’re preparing to mount an assault...but the Black Shadow…”
“It’s still wreaking havoc on both sides, have there been any further attacks from the Pantheon Guild?”
“A few guilds have been attacked and they’ve rallied under the Fallen Angels’ banner.”
“Ahhh, why can’t these people see the bigger picture?!”
“...”
“We need to try and stop them from fighting or else it will snowball until all of the faction guilds are involved,” Eos said while he stared hard at the screen before standing up.
“I’ll try and put a stop to the aggressions. As an awakened, I’m sure they’ll listen.”
“Yes, I was just about to ask you if you could go down and stop the fighting. Overwhelming power will naturally stop both sides.”
“Mhm.”
Eos exited the guild house and was about to go to the areas where the fighting was about to start but unknown to him, Emily had placed a few people to watch the Nine Hells Guild house precisely for this moment. A Thief-class player that was stationed near the Nine Hells Guild saw Eos leaving Discordia and quickly reported, [Vice-Guild Leader, the target is moving with a party of players.]
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
Emily received the message and replied, [Good job, you can standby for now.]
She then opened up her friend’s list and sent a message to Maria.
[Emily: Mary, the target is moving to the battlefield now. I’m counting on you for this one.]
[Maria: You got it and thanks for delivering a strong opponent to me. My fists have been aching for a fight.]
[Emily: Haha, be careful, alright?]
[Maria: Mhm.]
Maria was also part of Emily’s plan as she had foreseen Eos’s plans. Eos was going to try and stop all the fighting by becoming an overwhelming deterrent but she had prepared someone to stop him from being able to do so and that was her best friend, Maria, who was likely stronger than him. With the Black Shadow appearing in front of them, Emily reckoned that Eos would have trouble stopping himself from trying to pull out the root of all their problems, and even if he resisted the temptation, Maria could just attack him regardless.
The members of the two factions only assumed that the Black Shadow was a monster or an NPC when she was actually a player because they’d never believe that a player could possess such power. She also moved around fighting using only her puppets and magic attacks so no one could connect the Black Shadow to Maria since she never took out any of her signature items or used any of her well-known abilities. With Maria moving to intercept Eos, Emily had no worries that things would progress according to her plans.
While everything was proceeding smoothly, Lizzy had arrived back on planet Eur. The information her guildies had acquired pointed towards a certain coordinate on the starting planet which still hadn’t been explored by the players. There were still many uncharted lands on the first planet and Lizzy was going to explore one of these areas by herself.
Although these unexplored areas had many hidden opportunities for the players, they didn’t attract any of the higher leveled players because no matter what, the first planet had a level cap of 100 so the monsters here would at best be level 110 at the highest and these would be limited to boss monsters only. The higher leveled players just couldn’t see what kind of opportunities would be left for them because of this limitation and the devs did place these unexplored areas precisely for the newer players coming into the game so they’d be able to get some opportunities to boost them to the level of the players that started ahead of them.
However, this didn’t mean that the veteran players couldn’t go back to the planet to try their luck and that was what Lizzy was doing. She had received clues about the Dragon race and was hoping to find the method to learn the required skills for her Awakening Quest. All of the normal dragons should have long since gone extinct on planet Eur and only the Dragonoids should be the only traces left of the dragons but her guild members had scoured through every known Dragonoid temple, village, town, city, and ruins but found nothing that could let her directly learn the skills she needed.
The only clue they found was from a Dragonoid ruin which supposedly revealed the location of a true dragon’s lair hidden somewhere in the uncharted territory of planet Eur. Since Lizzy was above the level cap of the planet, it wasn’t going to be a challenge for her to explore the uncharted areas by herself. She just ignored all of the monsters in her way and just single-mindedly flew towards the location that her guild member had given to her.
*DING*
You have discovered the Valley of the Tempest Dragons! For being the first to discover this area, you have received: 100000 EXP, 1000 Gold, and 2x EXP and Item Drop rate!
“Tempest Dragons...they’re part of the 7 Elemental Dragons. Looks like I did find the right place.”
The Tempest Dragons, according to the records and information she received from her guildmate, were part of the 7 Elemental Dragon races of legend. These 7 Elemental Dragon races were namely the Inferno Dragons, Hoarfrost Dragons, Erda Dragons, Tempest Dragons, Twilight Dragons, Luminous Dragons, and lastly, the Chromatic Dragons. Each dragon race ruled over 1 of the 6 elements while the Chromatic Dragons ruled over the element of Chaos which allowed them to somewhat use all of the other 6 elements to some extent.
Lizzy was elated to know the place she found was linked to the ancient Tempest Dragon race because the Awakening Quest gave her zero information about where to learn the skills so if there was a place to learn the dragon race’s skills, it would be at a place that had connections with the extinct race. She thought that this may have been a bust since it was on the first planet but she just went to check things out anyway and spent 2 in-game days to arrive at this location and thankfully, her time didn’t go to waste.
Lizzy began exploring the Valley of the Tempest Dragons and noticed that most of the monsters around were those that had ‘draconic’ or ‘drag’ in their names meaning that they had some dragon blood flowing in their veins. As a Demonic Dragonoid, the monsters in the valley had yellow tags instead of the usual white or red tags because all dragon-type creatures were neutral to each other except when antagonized. This was perfect for her because now she didn’t have to go through the hassle of clearing the valley of monsters so she wouldn’t be bothered by them when she tried exploring the place.
As Lizzy moved deeper and deeper into the valley, she noticed that it became cloudier as the wind inside of the valley picked up. Fewer monsters appeared as well since it became somewhat dangerous now. The wind wasn’t anything to her but after getting past the wind area, Lizzy found herself in danger of being struck down by lightning. If she had come to this place before achieving level 100, it would have been a challenge. However, things were different since she was beyond the planet’s level cap.
“Oh come on...the lightning isn’t anything to me but it’s still annoying to be zapped by one…” Lizzy said as she casually brushed off the shock of being struck by the valley’s mysterious lightning.
