Let’s take this back to the start of the week just after the IGC was over and Lizzy returned home, she took a day off from playing and doing anything before diving back into the game the very next day. Naturally, unlike her friend, Maria, who was a forgetful lady who just loved doing quests and whatever she wanted, Lizzy made sure to check her mailbox and exchanged the codes from the medals she obtained from the IGC.
After acquiring her rewards, she used most of them or just stored the rest in her private warehouse in her guild house. Naturally, the hidden class change item to become an Azure Dragoon was immediately used once she saw the benefits of changing into the class. Lizzy was limited in a few aspects due to her Berserker class, which was seen by many players as a suicidal class that wasn’t too optimal in scenarios outside of one-to-one battles.
It was good for boss fights but there was a limit to that and if it wasn’t for Lizzy’s advantage as a Demon Dragonoid, being a Berserker was just a waste of her character’s talents.

These were the two most important items that she obtained from the IGC which she immediately used on herself right away.

The other items were mostly materials, gold, skill books, construction blueprints, and other such things which she immediately donated to her guild storehouse. Naturally, Lizzy kept a few of the things she could use for herself since they were her rewards anyway. However, the earnings she obtained gave her guild a large boost in rare materials, equipment, and construction plans.
“Participating in the IGC sure gives a lot of rewards...Hopefully next year, things will be even better and more of my guildmates can participate,” Lizzy nodded to herself after she received the notifications and tallied all the gains she acquired.
“Alright, let’s finish these 2 quests. I can complete my awakening quest while I do the Class Change quest!”

Objective 2: Acquire the dragon race skills: [Dragon Breath], [Dragon Claw], [Dragon Tail], and [Dragon Heart] Rewards: Complete Awakening, +100 FSP, Title: [???], Bloodline Skill Book: Dragon Form, Bloodline Item: Dragon Egg
Lizzy’s awakening gave her a quest that had quite a lot of rewards. It was unlike Maria who only had to endure a bit of pain before waking up to find herself becoming an Awakened Variant. Maria had completely bypassed her awakening quest and jumped right into becoming an Awakened but although it was good, she had missed out on a lot of rewards that came with the awakening.
It didn’t matter, however, because all Maria sought after her awakening was the raw stats and additional FSP it gave to her. From the quest description, Lizzy needed to complete her Awakening Quest first before she could complete her Class Change Quest. When she first read through the Class Change Quest, Lizzy was stumped on where to get and hatch a dragon egg but her Awakening Quest resolved that problem as it rewarded her with one.
However, now it seemed that her Awakening Quest was much harder to complete because she didn’t know where she would be able to obtain the skill books or the methods to learn the skills needed to complete the second objective of her quest.
All in all, this was going to be a complete headache and she couldn’t help wondering if her best friend Maria had to go through even worse since she was an Awakened Variant. She didn’t know that Maria didn’t need to go through all of this hassle for her Awakening but if anything, all of the things she did before receiving the Pureblood Bloodline that catalyzed her awakening could be considered her Awakening Quest.
“What’s that? You want a week to a month off from all guild affairs? Are you crazy, Liz?” Amanda exclaimed in a three-way call between her, Emily, and Lizzy.
“Y-You have to understand, Amanda...my Awakening and Class Change Quest...I need to complete them ASAP if we want to contend in the game’s next patch, the Void Sea!”
“What do you mean next patch? That patch is already here! If you leave us at such a crucial moment…”
Emily cut in and said, “I think we can manage the guild without her for a few weeks, Ama...besides, I don’t think the Void Sea will open any time soon, especially since the ‘Black Shadow’ is going around ruining everyone’s quest.”
“Black Shadow? You mean Mary?”
“Yup.”
Naturally, Maria’s friends knew the Black Shadow’s true identity. Their friend had been going around sabotaging all of the guild contribution quests the moment the IGC ban had been lifted and this caused so many problems within their faction, the Celestial Order that it became the hottest topic of discussion for everyone in their alliance.
It was the same for the guilds and players of their opposing faction, the Pantheon. In fact, they had it worse as the guilds actually tried to band together and ‘kill’ the Black Shadow only to be met with death in return. Trying to kill the Black Shadow was nigh impossible especially with all of the shadow monsters it summoned.
Lizzy, Amanda, and Emily had a familiar feeling when they saw the figure of the Black Shadow so they only wanted to ask Maria about it as a joke since they weren’t sure at the time but who knew that their friend would confirm it herself.
Since then, Emily had announced to the guild to stop all guild contribution quests and just focus on leveling up and mining materials, farming items, and completing dungeon runs since they didn’t want to interfere with Maria’s quest.
Also, this was good for them now that Lizzy wanted to set aside time to complete two important quests that would boost her power level and in turn strengthen their guild.
“Maria is helping us though it’s only collateral...Fine, just go then, Liz...does this mean I have to move to Gaia now?” Amanda asked.
“Yeah, just leave the Eur Guild Branch to your little brother. Besides, it’s not like there aren’t any more end-game areas on Eur. The planet hasn’t been completely explored yet so we still can expand our influence there,” Emily replied.
“Alright, I’ll let him know. I’ll see you later then, Em.”
“Mhm.”
Lizzy clapped her hands before saying, “Alright, since our plans are a go, I’ll get started on my quest then. The sooner I start, the sooner I’ll get it completed.”
“Should I dispatch a team to help with the monster hunting?” Emily asked.
“No, I need to do this alone...It’s not in the quest description but I just have a gut feeling.”
“Alright, have it your way, but the guild will still help you with finding clues to obtain those skill books for your second objective.”
“Okay, thanks.”
With their plans made and with Maria’s unexpected help in delaying the opening of the Void Sea Realm, Lizzy comfortably began her quest.
