Her status had grown quite broken now. However, she knew that the ones in the leaderboards probably had attributes just as absurd as hers.

Now that the immediate rewards had been taken care of, there was only one reward remaining, The Dark Bloodline.

Maria read the description and found that it was an Ascension Item, not something that she needed or could use.

She already acquired the Pureblood Bloodline from her two Vampire Duke subordinates and had completed her Ascension Quest. It was quite a tasteless reward since she couldn’t use it but Maria thought that she could probably give it to one of her friends in the future.

The Dark Bloodline was a High-rank Ascension Material after all.

Item Name: Dark Bloodline Rank: A Description: Catalyzes the awakening of the Dark Bloodline. Those who possess this bloodline will feel more attuned to the darkness and the night, melding and becoming one with them. The skills and attributes of those possessing this bloodline will have a fixed increase when in the darkness. Uses: 1

“I’ll save it for Lizzy or the others in case they need it.”

Maria stored the item in her inventory before deciding that she should head back now. She had vented a bit of her frustration and now she needed to head back.

“Hmm...I’m at a higher level now so I think I should go do a few of those Dark Priestess skill quests…”

She didn’t forget about the powerful skills of her Dark Priestess class. Her skill books were collecting dust in her [Book Keeping] skill’s astral bookcase. Before, she was afraid of doing those skill book quests because the last time, she nearly lost.

If losing didn’t come with any consequences, she would have continued challenging the quests but if she unbound one of the devils that personified one of the sins and let it loose because she lost, the consequences would be dire for her specifically.

Maria didn’t forget about the benefits of devouring one of those devils though. She gained quite a bit from devouring Greed’s Soul Essence so she was anticipating what would become of her once she devoured all of the Souls of the demons that were sealed in her skill books.

She would see to those quite soon but right now, Maria wanted to find out more information about the Second Main World’s opening. Ever since she had somehow triggered the Main Scenario quest for unlocking the second world, the forums had been abuzz about that along with her controversial video.

Naturally, more people paid attention to the Second World’s quest rather than the drama caused by her video. She did read a lot of people calling out to her and condemning her but she filtered all those threads out and focused on the things regarding the second world.

Apparently, the second world was called Gaia and on this planet, there was an ongoing war between two opposing factions that the players could choose to side with.

The players of the Dark and Light Factions from the first world, Eur, would be able to select new factions to ally themselves with, forge new allegiances, and create new bonds. On this planet, everyone started in a neutral faction.

Once they completed the recruitment quests from either of the factions, their new allegiances would finally be determined. The faction war on the first planet would be left on the first planet while on the second planet, enemies could become allies while previous allies could in turn become enemies on this new planet.

Maria thought that this worked well because now, her brother’s guild could work alongside Lizzy and her friends’ guild.

For now, all of this information was just still speculation because they were supposedly ‘leaked’ from one of the devs but Maria took the information with a grain of salt since they weren’t actual dev notes or anything.

Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

However, the game company did release the backstory of the new planet as well as a preview video of what the players could find on the new planet.

Maria was rather intrigued by the new content of the game but regrettably, she wasn’t going to be able to participate in its wonders. Despite having a head start from all the other players, Maria did have to face the consequences of such an advantage.

Gaia, the world of Gods and Astrals, had two factions known as the Pantheon and the Celestial Order who were fighting for supremacy and hegemony over the other. Each side constantly waged war against each other, a war that lasted since time immemorial.

The Pantheon consisted of Gods and Demi-Gods born from the stars while the Celestial Order had beings known as Astrals who existed the moment the universe came into being.

The two sides were like fire and water, neither of them could mix or see eye-to-eye. They waged their battles throughout the universe until finally, only a select few Gods and Astrals remain to this day.

They decided to end their war once and for all on a planet both sides had created together which was Gaia. This was not a planet at all. Although it did have life on it, Gaia was nothing more than the Astrals and Gods’ battleground.

They waged their war here and brought destruction everywhere they battled but neither side could foresee that the planet they had created had actually gained sentience and thus put a restriction on each side.

Eight seals were created by Gaia. Eight seals in the form of crystals, scattered throughout the planet in hidden locations that represented an element to the planet’s lifeforce.

The seals restricted the Astrals and Gods that were trying to kill each other and the planet. Once they were restricted, the leaders of each side were banished into a different dimension by the planet’s will. This dimension was known as the Void Sea.

This act by Gaia was done in order to preserve its own life. While other planets were being destroyed by natural apocalypses, Gaia was being destroyed by its own creators. Despite being sealed, however, the Astrals and Gods weren’t going to sit still.

The Pantheon’s Demi-Gods and the Celestial Order’s Guardians were guided by their masters to continue the war against one another. Each side found out that if they were able to take control of the crystals, they’d be able to release the seal that was binding their masters and bring them back to the physical plane once again.

However, neither side wanted to work together against Gaia so they battled against each other, prolonging the struggle. Once their numbers dwindled, they turned to recruit the inhabitants of the planet for their cause.

Gaia witnessed her children slaughter each other at the commands of the Pantheon and the Celestial Order so, in a desperate act of compassion and love to preserve her children after seeing that there was no way for her to stop the two opposing forces, Gaia used up her power to summon heroes from other planets and stars to help her children quickly end the war between the two sides.

The planet’s Will soon went dormant and this loosened the seal on the Void Sea by a little bit. This allowed the Gods and Astrals to manifest a small part of themselves into the physical plane and thus restart a new age of chaos on Gaia.

The players were the summoned heroes in this case but instead of fighting for the planet, they could only fight for one side or not at all and for those that didn’t pick a side, they’d be hunted down by the people of both the Pantheon and the Celestial Order.

It was a few weeks later when this final preview that had a full description of what was going to happen in the new world had finally come out. It was unsurprising that the Dark Faction was the one to complete the final Second World Quest.

Lizzy had united quite a lot of guilds in the Dark Faction together and with her alliance, her guild, the Fallen Angels, were able to complete the quest ahead of anyone else. It was supposed to be a race but unfortunately, the devs decided that everyone would start at the same time on the new planet.

Once the quest was completed, various Temples that served as teleportation zones appeared in random areas of each factions’ territory that could teleport players who were level 100 and above to the new planet.

The level restriction was a bit harsh for most of the players since not everyone was above or at that level. It was particularly harsh for many of the guilds from both factions since they couldn’t teleport everybody over.

Thankfully, Maria’s friends weren’t stupid enough to teleport everyone in the guild to the new planet. Lizzy had left behind Amanda and her brother on Eur so that they could keep watch and lead the guild in her place since she was going to be pioneering the new planet with Emily and their guild’s strongest players.

Many other guilds had done similar to them and were all just waiting for the temples to finally activate so they could move to the new world. Lizzy was a little peeved by this because she thought that by completing the quest first, she’d be able to obtain an advantage over the rest of the guilds and players.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be and she had only labored for them instead. Naturally, the remuneration she received from the quest was quite generous so it didn’t completely piss her off.

Maria, however, could only watch as her friends were about to begin a new and exciting journey while she was left to deal with boring paperwork behind a desk in her castle. Lizzy had turned on a private stream for her just so that she could see for herself what the new planet was like.

For the past weeks, all Maria did was hunt, battle, expand her forces, conquer more lands, and complete her skill book quests. She streamed every bit of her activities but she was slowly getting tired of it. She was only getting a bit tired of it because she was once again being excluded from all the fun the other players were experiencing.

After finishing her first apocalypse quest, Death hadn’t spoken to her again so she was feeling a little bit bitter. He only called to her when he needed her and ignored her when she needed him. Since Death was able to teleport her to another planet, then it meant he was also capable of teleporting her to the Second Main Planet.

Maria wanted to ask Death if he could do that but unfortunately, she didn’t know how to contact him.

“Mhm, I see it…”

There was a timer for when the temples would activate and that timer had been counting down since a few days ago after Lizzy and her guild had completed the Main Story Quest.

The timer had finally hit zero and the temples started glowing with a majestic light. The Second Main Storyline of UT was now starting and once again, Maria couldn’t be a part of it.
