Max shot a look at Zack. "NAMES?" He whispered.
"Let's start with you, Zack." Shadow began.
Zack stepped forward.
"Your friends told me about your howl......I want to hear it." Max could tell that he was nervous.
Zack braced himself for his howl, and like before, it was loud enough to wake the forest. If you were to get close to him, it would pierce your eardrums.
Shadow nodded. "Okay, Max is next."
Uh, okay, he thought as he stepped forward. "Your friend over there told me you're good with strikes. Try me." Shadow said.

Is he INSANE? Max had no choice but to listen to his order.
So he did what his father had taught him long ago: Pretend they're the enemy.
Shadow got in his stance to fight Max, and Max did the same in return.
When Shadow lunged at him, Max quickly went right under him and scratched hard on his shoulder, leaving deep claw marks under his skin. Just as he did this, Shadow howled in agony, but that didn't stop him from trying to get Max.
Max defended himself from the attack, leaving another scratch a little ways under his neck. Shadow howled again, then looked at him with a surprise on his face. "You did well, better than I thought."
Max tilted his head. "You doubted me this whole time?"
"I had to check." Shadow replied, then looks over at what was once Matthew.
"You, come here." The wolf shyly makes his way to the front. "I don't know my ability.."
"We'll find out, okay?"
