Valerian and Rose then stepped out to see the boys. "Come inside, we need to talk about something..." Valerian announced.

Thunderbolt looked up at them with wide eyes. "Uh, are we in trouble?" He winced.

Valerian giggled. "No, you're not in trouble."

"Phew!" He said. "That's a huge relief!" Scratch gave him a side eye.

They all went inside.

"So, I don't know if you guys are going to want to go home or not, or if you want to stay here with us? If anyone wants to stay here, I'll do my best to make more room." Valerian declared.

The boys all looked at each other.

Valerian smiled at them. "I'll give you all time to think." She said as she got up off her stool.

Scratch's father told the boys that he would rather go home and make amends with his wife.

Both Ben and Scratch looked at each other.

Scratch made his decision to go back home, but a sudden thought bothered him. He looked at his new friend, Shadow.

"Are we ever going to see you again?"

Shadow looked at Valerian for an answer.

Valerian grinned. "You can come visit whenever you wish, just make sure you guys aren't followed...and stay discreet. Shadow..." She said as she turned to him. "You are in more control of your powers, don't expose them if you EVER go to the Village!" Shadow nodded in agreement, he then looks at Rose. She smiles.

Scratch then nodded. "Alright, we've made our decision to go back home." He said as he looked at his father and brother.

Thunderbolt nodded. "Look, I uh.." he began as he turned to Valerian. "I don't have any family, I've stayed with Howl the past few years, so uh.." he then turns to Howl as if to grant permission.

"I'm sure my father won't mind a little extra space in the house." Howl chuckles.

"Oh, uh, okay." He turns back to Valerian. "I'll stay here." He said confidently.

Valerian bows her head. "Very well then, you'll stay with Shadow."

Rose elbows her hard.

"Ow, what?"

Rose folded her arms. "Don't call him that, he said it's Gabriel!"

Valerian sighs. "Fine! Anyway, you'll stay with him in his room."

Thunderbolt nods.

Finally, Valerian looks at Howl. He bows his head. "I'm going back home."

Valerian bows her head again.
