Shadow saw Scarlett overlooking the tower; he snuck up behind her.

"Just do it." She suddenly said.

This confused Shadow, this had to have been a trick!

"Ive got nothing left of me anyway, just finish the job and send me back to the pit of hell!"

Shadow hesitated.

"Do it!" She screamed.

Before Shadow made his attempt, Beta made it to the top and saw what Shadow was about to do. "No!" She screamed.

Shadow looked at her, then to Scarlett and before he knew it, she thrust a blade in him. The black wolf cried.

She sunk it in deeper, making Shadow have a hard time concentrating over the pain, but he had to try.

Something made Beta gasp. "Scarlett, what have you done!"

Without knowing what she did, Scarlett looked up at Beta, who appeared to have been decaying to nothing but ashes within the second. Immediately she pulled the blade out of him.

Shadow laughed. "Too late, I've already won!" To finish the job quicker, he focused on Scarlett's energy and pulled it back into his life force, causing him to rise and her to fall.

She screamed at the top of her lungs over the agony. The feelings of life being ripped away from her once more. Beta seemed to be suffering too, becoming the dust in the air. As he watched Scarlett fade to nothing, he looked down at himself and noticed he was changing!
