The woman looked down at the little wolf and said. "Looks like you got a new brother! Now let's go find your family!"

She then looked down at what was once Gabriel. "You will bring the rest of us back! One! By! One! I can sense where their bodies will be found. You will do as I say, or I'll leave you abandoned and afraid like the little BITCH you are!" She threatened. "Do you understand?"

Shakily, Gabriel nodded in agreement.

"Good, the first one will be found near our tower, I suggest you get going. NOW!"

Then she and her wolf left him alone. He knew where the tower was, Valerian always told them about the abandoned castle.

He turned around and noticed his sister from a distance, standing alone by a tree.

I'm sorry, he thought shamefully. He was dangerous, not only to his sister, but all of mankind!

"Gabriel!" Rose cried.

The boy that now changed to a black wolf, backed up and shook his head. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!"

Before Rose could do anything, Gabriel turned around and ran. He ran away from his sister, ran away from his family and friends, ran away from his life.

After running for a while, Gabriel gathered his thoughts about the witch's request. He knew he had to do it, there was no way out of it.

Before he began his quest, he stopped by the nearby stream. Before he could place his tongue in it, he looked a his reflection in the water. He was indeed no longer a boy, he was a black coated beast! He noticed his eyes were a different color. They were no longer blue, they're now black, like...an obsidian crystal. He continued to look at what he's become.

He was indeed what he thought he was, a monster.

He was no longer Gabriel.

Gabriel was an innocent name given to an innocent. He wasn't innocent.

He no longer deserved the name, he had to change it.

He looked down at the water again and saw the dark flecks floating around him, casting a shadowy appearance on his already black-coated body.

That's what he decided to call himself.

He will now and forever be known as Shadow.
