While Scarlett was sharing Scratch her memories, Shadow was beginning his big plan outside of the tower.

Inside, Beta and Mica were conversating about quite possibly capturing Scratch's two main friends...not thinking Shadow's one of them now.
Shadow was by himself at the entrance to the tunnels, where the Beta and Mica stood. They both looked up at him.
Shadow faked an angry expression at her.
"Now you had the balls to go do the deed yourself? Couldn't wait for me much longer then?" Defeated, Beta bowed her head at him. Mica then chimed in to something that wasn't his business. "What the hell were you doing out there? What took you so long?"

Shadow rolled his eyes and barked, sending Rose's new friend in with him. The black wolf pretended to be held hostage, by masking a sunken face to the expression. Shadow turned back to Mica. "What do you THINK I was doing?" Mica dropped the subject, with his head hung low in defeat.
"I WAS thinking of multitasking my duties and capturing one of these fucks and finding your wolf at the same time, but .....seems like you decided to ball up and do the job for me, that was meant to be your responsibility."
Beta was speechless and at the same time, she tried to defend herself, but it was no use, she knew she failed Shadow.
"Scarlett sent me - "
"OF FUCKING COURSE SHE SENT YOU!" Shadow retorted.
Beta hung her head low. "I'm sorry, Alpha...it won't happen again. I promise!"
Shadow scoffed. "Yeah right." Then he caught her pained expression as she looked at him. He stepped closer to her and moved his muzzle inches away from her ear and whispered. "It better not!"
The black wolf faked a whimper to give the attention that he was there. Shadow looked at him and Beta. "Now, where should I take him?"
Beta sighed, nearly on the verge of tears. "It's your call, Alpha. You know better than I do!"
Shadow nodded. "Damn right!" Both her and Mica backed up to let Shadow and the other black wolf pass.
