Beta ran up to the top of the tower where Scarlett stood.

"We've got a problem! Shadow's betrayed us, he's been with them this whole time!"

Scarlett gave her a very stern look.

Once Scarlett appeared in the cell room, everyone stopped, even Scratch.

She laughed. "Well, well isn't this a surprise!"

Shadow looked up at her, then back at the pack.

"Shadow, how dare you betray your own kin!" Scarlett shrieked. "I don't belong to you, I never have!" He retorted.

Scarlett growled as she snapped her fingers and everyone was sent into their own cells, locked, while Shadow and Scratch stood, face to face.

"KILL HIM!" She ordered. Scratch made no hhesitationto lunge at Shadow.

She vanished again, leaving everyone frightened and trapped.

"Scratch! Wake up, this isn't you!" Thunderbolt screamed as he scratched desperately at the metal bars that trapped him.

Howl shouted too. "Come on, wake up! He's your friend!"

Scratch ignored them, he felt a sudden feeling of pure hatred towards Shadow. The anger surged through his bones as he mindlessly attacked.

Shadow used his thoughts on him. This isn't you, Scratch!

Scratch wasnt affected by this. He wanted nothing more than to see him suffer. He lunged at him again, this time, scratching the life out of Shadow.

The back wolf howled over the pain, as he did his best to dodge Scratch's attacks; but for his friend being dead, he was much too strong for him. Shadow growled as he attempted to bite him, but Scratch slammed into him, sending Shadow sliding on the cold stone floor.

This can't be the end! Shadow thought to himself.

Scratch then let out a maniacal laugh. "You've got nowhere else to go!" His voice was harsh and raspy from the death that consumed him.

"Come on Scratch! This isn't you, you're an angel!" Thunderbolt cried.

Shadow looked at him. "He's right, you have a good heart and a pure soul, you ARE an angel!"

Scratch only cackled. "An angel that has fallen!"

Then the dead wolf lunged.
