"Do you think they're fine?" Thunderbolt wondered.

Scratch nodded. "I believe so."

Rose and Valerian talked to each other a ways apart from the others.

"Rose, I told you not to go anywhere."

"Well, if you told me Gabriel was going to be with them, I WOULDN'T have run off!"

Valerian retorted. "I'm sorry it's only Max's dream state I can enter!" Scratch looked at Valerian, and underneath his fur coat, he could feel his skin flush pink.

Howl shot his head up. "Everyone be quiet!" They all became silent.

"Something's coming toward us!" Howl explained.

"Is it them?" Scratch asked.

Howl shook his head. "Sounds like multiple."

"Wait, are you thinking - ?"

"Exactly, everybody RUN!"

They all shot up from their resting place and ran as quickly as they could.

"Wait, what about my brother?" Rose shouted. Valerian shoved her forward. "He'll be fine, just go!"

They all bolted through the trees . To protect the girls, Scratch got in front of them. Howl! Thunder! Cover the sides! They obeyed as they raced for either side of the girls. The sound behind them grew louder, and it was indeed the other cursed wolves chasing after them!

"You guys know where to go!" Valerian shouted. Scratch remembered.

"WHERE are we going? Rose asked her.

Valerian spoke in Old Latin, and right away, Rose understood.
