It had been only a few minute since we entered the tomb going through the long hallway engraved with a lot of strange characters and illustrations which were still unknown to me what they meant,i was amazed by the way the illustration just continued through the hallway almost never-ending hoboku also took the chance to look at the walls and see if there is anything she could figure out but in the end there was really nothing she could understand which was a bummer but alright,it's not like we gonna stay here forever.

After another thirty minutes we soon reached the first split path and because we already knew the right one thanks to the slimes we didn't hesitate to take that path but for the moment i stopped for a second and looked at the strange sign that was between these two paths,the words written on it had the same wiggly characters as the scroll that lead us here meaning hoboku could read it and above each path there was also a different sign with a single word meaning it was some kind of question to figure out the right path we already knew the answer but i was still curious nonetheless so i asked hoboku to read the sign for me and the 2 different answers.

As she stood in front of me reading the signs i could feel the tombs coldness embracing me from within,it was also very dark in here but i could see decently clear because i had the skill which allowed me to see in the dark,the skill was truly handy and it also told me the difference between darkness and light not simply making every dark corner light up in my eyes.

I embraced myself for a second because of the cold i could feel in this tomb...the temperature in the tomb was determined by the weather outside meaning that it was currently close to summer in this region thats why the tomb was getting colder the closer we were getting to its core,the warm humidity outside was making the tomb short on air causing this cold from inside...i estimated that the end of this tomb should be something like a freezer or close to it...staying here for too long is not a good idea so we have to quickly get in and out before we freeze in here.

As i was thinking so i noticed that hoboku had already finished reading the signs and was turning towards me with a slight frown...she was worried of course,because of me feeling uncomfortable from the cold and at that moment she got closer to me and embraced me into her warm chest she pulled my head into her breasts not forcing but more gently as she stroke the back of my head while pushing me in between her two boobs making me feel good from the softness...her sudden action made me a bit surprised but it was sweet too starting to make me feel warm from the inside as she smiled at me sweetly holding onto my hands...i was surprised that she didn't seem to be much affected from the air here or bothered in any way so were the slimes which didn't really pick my curiosity as i knew that they were immune to any temperature changes.

Hoboku whispered to me almost making a bit drowsy...i was actually a bit sleepy because i took watch last night but this wasn't really anything that could hinder me...my stamina was still 95% full and i could easily shrug it off no...it was because i felt safe around hoboku she gave me a lot security like this and i felt like i could stay here forever,but i knew...we need to move forward we don't have the privilege to stay like this and indulge ourselves with each other.

I slowly parted from hoboku's warm embrace while making a warm smile because of her and when i did so i could feel heavy love streaming from our bond coming from her as she also smiled idiotically like me,her face was also flushed for a second from the heat maybe ?

Hoboku nodded and got serious again telling me what the signs said.

The question on the middle sign was the exact same question which was on the scroll which lead us here,it was a riddle and the 2 paths represented an answer one being "Human" and the other being "Mountain" the correct path was the right one meaning it was the "Mountain" which made sense to me making me think about the riddle a bit more as i linked the points together.

We didn't need to do anything further as we chose the right path,for securities sake we let 1 slime go first to be vigilante and see what would happen and it seemed alright afterwards so we continued our walk deeper into the tomb...the air was getting more mistier and on the way down giving me slight shivers and forcing hoboku to come closer to me to warm me up...she seemed extremely worried about me but at the same time there was also a small feeling of happiness which made her conflicted about herself as we walked the path and more than once she shook her head for a bit debating with herself about something she would also sometimes grab onto me by my waist or shoulder which i didn't really mind but i could feel that she was getting a bit more bolder since we had that night activity from yesterday...i hope she gets that better under control...

With that amusing thought i continued leading the way i also started thinking about the others who were still in the base they were probably finished with their evolution and since we still had some time i figured that i should contact them and see what is going on...and like so i used my skill and linked myself with gobuha...or was it hobuha ?

-Hello ? Its sorron are you guys alright ?

I could feel a shot of excitement coming from gobuha as she heard my voice...i couldn't really see how they looked like because i was only using the transmission link to communicate and not to link visuals because it would hinder me from walking as i kept both conversation and walk in check...it was the same as if you were using a phone just with the mind i guess.

-Ehh lord sorron ! Where are you !

Gobuha's voice was excited for a bit as she asked me where i was,i gave her basic information about our location and also told them when were going to return gobuha understood and seemed a bit disappointed when she heard it would take a couple of hours until we came back home,she asked whetever or not to send some reinforcement to get us safe home but i refused and told her it wasn't worth the while in which she rebuked a bit emotion telling me that i am their leader and that i was spouting nonsense for saying something like that.She really was setting me into my place as she lightly scolded me making me feel a bit happy and troubled for a second punching me some sense into my head...it really surprised me that gobuha had grown so much to be able to talk back like that in front of her leader well maybe not in front but you know what i mean.

I also noticed that gobuha's voice was now different it was still that cute and a bit childish tone but it was a bit deeper than before and a bit more mature too it made me think about their evolution so i quickly changed the topic and asked her how they were doing so far and how the evolution ended up for everyone.Gobuha seemed a bit depressed when i mentioned that and yes she also evolved so i gonna changed everyone's name starting with her she is now called hobuha.

-uhh...i grew a bit,but i am still short lord sorron ! even gobura who was the same size as me grew taller than everyone uhhhhh...

I made a wryly smile as i heard hobuha's grieving voice over the transmission link she seemed really troubled and self-conscious about her size even thought she never really thought about it when she was a goblin...maybe after evolving everyones mind also got enhanced through the evolution making them a bit more conscious about themselves and the surroundings...now i was really curious about everyone how they ended up and also pumped up about meeting them now which motivated me a lot to finish this as fast as i could.

-Now now calm down alright your still fine to me even if your short it makes you cuter too and there are many advantages you can get by being short like being quick or light.

-Do you really think i am cute lord sorron...

Hobuha asked a bit reluctant and hopeful for some reason making me wonder if she only heard that one word and disregarded everything else...I didn't really know what to say and only wanted to comfort her i wasn't even sure if she was cute or not because i didn't see her but i knew that telling compliments to a girl was far better than not to do so...pissing her off could be even suicidal.

I could feel a stream of happiness coming from her as she hummed to my compliment almost purring too...it was a bit too easy to calm her down but in the end she is a girl too right ? As we finished up talking about this i asked her about the current status and how everyone was doing and if someone was hurt or not.

Hobuha groaned a bit again like a hurt puppy she started again for a second i was worried if something really serious happened while i was gone but i was relieved when she shouted over the transmission link.

-COME BACK LORD SORRON WE ARE HUNGRY...the raw meat tastes awful and we always mess up when we start doing the cooking ! Hobura even burned several meats making us puke so PLEASE COME BACK FAST LORD SORRON WE GONNA STARVE !

I wanted to laugh for a and just calmed hobuha for a bit as i assured her we will come back fast and start cooking so i can start making a lot of delicious foods...hmm i should really teach someone how to make food actually they can only rely on me which wasn't good for their survival and bad food was also not good it would decrease the moral of girls and also make them weaker over time...

With that thought hobuha also started to talk about what happened after their evolution,everyone has already chosen their respective attribute specialization ending up with 4 Intelligent 3 Strength 1 Stamina and 4 Agility type hobgoblins which was fairly even and also a bit weird because there were 3 strength's instead of 4 one being a stamina type of course.

I asked her if anyone learned some kind of magic or other unique abilities and it turns out they do hobuha in particular had acquired a magic mastery called which was something close to but also had mixed characteristics with being able to have a decently high offensive power while specializing mainly in support and healing,to be honest when i later heard the description of hobuha's magic i was a bit jealous and compared it with my own which was really common,to hobuha's unique magic which sounded really awesome too...i kinda felt like i shouldn't ask what kind of magic the others got just to not get hurt for feeling useless but i asked anyways and was utterly defeated when i heard about Hasumi's and Hakuro's magic which was and respectively....

I stopped in my tracks and sighed for a second...Their skills and abilities were really great and amazing in comparison to me who was their weak leader,i was sure that now that they evolved i wouldn't be able to stand a chance like i did when they were small goblins...this got me thinking for a second as i stood in this cold tomb...maybe i am just dead weight for these girls ? They are all very strong and don't need my protection it's just as if...

-you guys don't really need me to survive do you ?

I closed my eyes for a second as i muttered quietly...these were some really dark thoughts but they were true...the girls already grew up strong enough to protect themselves with those amazing skills they would only need to practice harder to get great results and good leadership was also in their grasp that is hoboku who had a great grip on a sudden or harsh situation her judgment was also alright and the girls would probably acknowledge her more than me too...

I could suddenly feel warmth coming from my back as i felt someone embrace me from behind...it was hoboku of course as i turned my head towards her a bit puzzled...she had a serious look on her face while holding me and i was surprised when she actually called me by my name.

-Don't say that my lord it is you who had brought us to this point without you it wouldn't have been possible for us to escape.You have trained us fed us and protected us from the dangers that lurked outside we are all thankful to you and without you surviving wouldn't be even an option for beasts like us,you took us in when you could have easily killed us and you shared when you could have taken everything...your leadership and wisdom far surpasses mine you can think of things i didn't even consider once or make things that i never seen or even heard before and to be fair.......you are my love even if the girls don't accept you as our leader i will follow you to death and into hell itself to be together....

I moved my head down for a bit as i could feel my face heating up and blood rushing through my veins as i heard every single word she said to me......it was embarrassing pretty embarrassing to be honest a bit cheesy too but i didn't really cringe when she said that i only felt a burst of electricity running down my veins as she whispered it through my ear i could even feel the sincere and truth of her words coming from our bond it was followed by a huge wave of love which made me calm down for a second as i smiled without noticing.

She said with a voice full of disbelieve...I knew hobuha didn't believe what i just said so i quickly tried to change the topic of the conversation before it got real awkward...i didn't know how to confront them about this matter with me and hoboku...and if hoboku continues to be aggressive like this even when were home then its going to make a whole lot of misunderstanding...

-And about the others ? How about gobura did she get a unique skill ?

Hobuha continued to report to me with a somewhat of a stiff tone which gradually turned normal as she told me that only 1 of the girls got had a unique skill which was called the user of this skill was hobura who seemed to be the tallest of the girls,hobuha said she was close to hoboku's size which gave me a basic understanding of how big she was now giving me some expectations for the reunion...hobuha doesn't really know what the skill does and hobura seems to be a bit secretive about it too not telling anyone anything but the name.

I had a pretty good guess on what the skill did but i didn't voice it and just continued to listen to her report which was fairly alright because they didn't seem to have any trouble.

I was about to end the transmission link until hobuha reminded me.

-Come back home quickly alright...don't stop and do anything we are starving here you know...

She seemed a bit forceful when she urged me to come home quickly without any stops but i just agreed to her and assured her we would directly come home after this...and like so i ended the link with a small sigh.

As we walked i could feel a warm hand touching my shoulder from the right side...it was hoboku.

-We have arrived...

She said as she pointed towards the 2 stone statues resembling soldiers holding onto spears.The left one was holding a white spear while the right one held a black spear,they were placed in between 2 paths and above them was a sign with another question on it...a riddle but this time it was a bit strange so i refrained from sending a slime first and let hoboku read the sign first.

-2 paths are cut in one row as one is your goal while the other is your death.2 guards are set between the paths one speaks the truth while the other tells the lies the answer is final while the question is one

It was another riddle which wasn't really surprising since the moment we walked into this tomb there were multiple paths shown to us with different riddles and because we had somewhat cheated we knew the right paths and just walked through them without care but this time...this riddle gave me a really grim vibe as i looked at the setting...the answer is final what does that mean ?

I looked towards the different paths for a second...i could see a slit in each door suggesting that the moment i walk through one of them the slit will open and bring down a stone wall blocking me off from the beginning meaning we could only choose 1 path really,but what does it mean one speaks the truth while the other tells lies ?

As i was thinking like this i took a small step forward while looking at the stone soldiers suspiciously they were made a bit edgy but well made nonetheless...

As i made a step forward the statues suddenly started to shake making hoboku jump into action as she leaped in front of me channeling her spell while looked at the statues maliciously...

-wait don't !

I quickly grabbed onto hoboku's hand to let her lower her spell... she seemed a bit reluctant and confused when i told her to stop but she followed my orders because she trusted me as we watched the statues shine for a second as they shook from their position and like so both of them suddenly raised their left leg simultaneously stepping 2 steps forward,their eyes glowed a golden while they held onto their spears with a blank expression fitting that of a statue and like so they spoke at the same time.

-the answer is final while the question is one

It was amazing and i understood what it meant by one speaks the truth and the other tells lies...i could only ask one question to both of these to get the right door...but at the same time i don't know who is the liar and you speaks the truth...what do i do ?
