The fun and play soon ended,I also proceeded to be a bit more serious and started organizing everyone explaining them at the same time what we were going to do today which was to visit the tomb and see whether or not we could somehow retrieve the that resided deep in the tombs so we could cure rimulu's mother,of course I also didn't expect this to be a simple cake walk either so when explaining everyone what we were going to do I also intensely pressed onto everyone's personal safety and that if anyone would get majorly or severely injured in a way or get too tired to move on,we would immediately abandon the mission and leave the tomb as fast as possible.

Funnily when I mentioned the topic about safety both rimulu and the girls started sulking or pouting all of a sudden,rimulu I could understand since she needed to get the flower as fast as possible right now we only had 6 to 5 days now until her mother couldn't take it anymore and would die canceling the mission mid way through the tomb just because of a single person getting injured was unpleasant for her,but in either case she didn't say anything because she knew that everyone lives meant a lot to me,we weren't even obligated to help her in all reality she was the one who needed our help the most,she couldn't call her fellow dragon kin because she also probably guessed that it was one of her people that poisoned her mother with that kind of danger lurking inside her tribe calling for help and letting everyone know that there is a cure for the poison is equivalent to saying that she wants to destroy the cure for her mother as the one person who poisoned her mother obviously also would know and do anything to hinder the cure from happening.

What was even worse for rimulu was her current state,because of the fight with the white ape she hadn't fully recovered from her injuries yet if she had she would have been a huge power up to our team as a dragon can be a enormous powerhouse since they were one of the most powerful monsters in this world,but right now she isn't she can't even come with us to the tomb as she is within her weak human form that can break like a simple twig,she didn't tell me how long the recovery rate for her injuries on her dragon would be in the current pace and I think thats within reason as she probably saw it as far too long for us to wait out and see which is why she is in a hurry right now asking her would probably put a big burden onto her head again so I also avoided doing so since rimulu wasn't approaching herself.

And concerning the girls reason to be so grumpy...its probably because I am highly underestimated the girls,and its not because I don't think they aren't strong enough to deal with the monsters themselves,it was just that we didn't have a lot of information on the tomb for me to be sure if it was hard or easy the only thing I know about the tomb is that a very old elder dragon ran away with its tail between its legs scared by something in the deepest part of the tomb,if a elder dragon ran away something even he judged that he couldn't defeat by himself why should I think that we could defeat something like that if we can't even stand before a elder dragon.

Thinking even further it just seemed so hopeless and impossible thing to do,I wouldn't be even helping rimulu if it was not for frostwing telling me to,but complaining about that is meaningless I already committed to it on my own no point in blabbering about it now.

With that finally out of the way,the girls also quickly started to move on towards the bath to clean themselves,while passing by everyone gave me a morning hug or a grope to say precisely the reason for that was because everyone found it unfair that only hobusaku got get a morning kiss from me,I also didn't mind a lot and instead thought that it would at least motivate the girls some bit,hoboku who I thought to be the most responsible of them all turned out to be the person who suffered the most out of the party yesterday with a massive hangover on her shoulders,it turns out this was the reason why she didn't speak up like she usual does and simply rested her mind to resist her throbbing headache.

Because it looked like she was in a intense amount of pain,I felt a bit bad and quickly gave her some medicine that I got from the dark elf village that would cure her headache,the medicine we had in stock right now was massive we hadn't really used it since no one gets really injured and recovers fast which I should be thankful for,but also a bit conflicted since it seems as if the medicine had no real use to us,In any case I was still very glad that we had it and that it wouldn't turn bad in the space where time is non-existing who knows when we would ever need it better safe sorry isn't it ?

After watching everyone go into the bath,I also decided to quickly do my own job,rimulu who was standing by my side the whole time seemed as if she was about to follow me the entire day,I suggested her to go and play somewhere else until I finished breakfast since the things I was going to do were probably going to be boring for her,but she refused and said that she rather would stay with me,she didn't give me a reason as to why and because she was very stubborn at this topic I couldn't do anything,but leave her be,at least she is quiet a lot of times compared to other kids her age.

About the cooking,since we were home right now I could leave 75% of the preparation to the slimes which included cutting,preparing and creating the fire,right now some of the slimes were pretty competent cooks not really cooks though as they only know how to make roasts and soups and nothing else,but still they are very impressive nonetheless following my instructions to the core without complain which once again makes them the perfect working force,in the future I would teach them how to make other dishes for sure the learning capacity of a slimes was very unknown to me,but so far it seemed as if they could keep a lot of information in themselves for a long time without forgetting it or rather they would keep pieces of information in themselves and then share it to each other even now the string of information that traveled between the slimes was pulsating in a rapid speed with my ability to connect them with each other I may have created some kind of uber monster of a computer in some sort...like a zerg hive mind perhaps,the more slimes there are the better the computer gets in terms of information storage and decision making...like bees or ants ?

I lightly shook my head feeling a bit light headed.

Since the topic was getting a bit too confusing I stopped thinking about it and quickly got back to my own work,while the slimes would make preparations for the breakfast I was going to do everything else inside the base that needed to be done before we would leave again,right now it was really a wreck the once pure grass green ground of the field here had turned into a overthrown ugly dirty black and brown,there was also trash everywhere,but I didn't need to worry about that as the slimes were already getting to work without my orders properly cleaning the place up using their bodies like a vacuum to suck in the broken remains and dissolve them into their own bodies for nutrition and mass,some of the materials that they sucked in would take more time to dissolve,like wood for example or metal even,I didn't really know why it was the case I could only guess that the structure of these materials were too hard or tightly bound for the slimes to dissolve properly...

While pondering like this suddenly an idea sparked into my head,I already thought of doing experiments with the slimes with the current amount of time on my hands I didn't have time to really put my heart into it and create some results nonetheless it didn't mean that I couldn't do anything while I was gone,rather I could leave the slimes here with instructions and make them do the experiments for me while I was gone.

The idea was very good and over all my own presence didn't really needed to be present there were a lot of slimes and other beasts here right now that I could use as eyes if it was necessary and in all honesty I wasn't expecting much at the current state making a slime more skillful was something that could be done maybe,but with their body constitution I felt like it wouldn't be of any use rather then that I want to create a different type of slime instead I already have ,, and so far these guys are very useful towards us the and the in particular as they give us a lot of support in our lives for a everyday healthy life all of these slimes were created through process of evolution not a simple adaptable evolution or required evolution like other species as the girls and me,but a more demanding and require heavy one that is both simple and hard to guess.

From what I understand the slimes simply evolve through eating something and then gaining its characteristics,the evolved through eating the divine fruit,the vitality and the purging effects of the divine fruits must have made it "Holy" the same concept goes towards the other slimes such as fire,poison and paralytic effects that all evolved through herbs that had these kinds of characteristics in them.

But the real hard thing about this experiment is the question what kind of item does evolve the slime into that species ? The only way for me to know was to do it in the most basic way possible.

Hit and miss.

What I needed to do was simply put a pile of something to eat for a single slime have them eat it for a bit and then wait until something happens,the things they eat could be anything really,they don't have any preferences to anything,but I did notice that some slimes just don't eat certain things for some reason.

For example bones,when I first had slimes fight for me it was against the goblins when they finally got to dissolving the slimes and turning them into nutrition and mass they left behind the bones even thought I never said they shouldn't eat them and right now they were still inside my storage untouched waiting for whatever purpose they might serve,but later on when we visited the bloody battleground where humans had fought against the orcs I had ordered the slimes to eat every single corpse in the area to collect all the equipment and weaponry that was present at the time they didn't even leave a single chunk of meat or drop of blood not even bones as to say,but even after eating so much not a single slime changed into anything different...

Maybe I am just over thinking this do bones and meat even have anything to do with evolution if so shouldn't a single corpse do enough for a slime to change or does it not work that way ? A single herb on the other hand was good enough for one slime to turn into a so what was the core ingredient here ? Do I really just need things that aren't conscious and alive to act as a written slate and use it as data to copy the characteristics of the slate onto the slime ?

Wait if so maybe this could answer me why blood or meat in general doesn't work for the slimes to evolve,after all if we talk about slates and make living beings into slates then genetically speaking all of the slates would be completely different from one another a human or a living being in general doesn't have unique pure characteristics that a slime can use herbs and materials on the other hand are different as they are all the same and features that are purely centered towards it.

The clicking inside my head continued on,a storm of thoughts raced through my brain as if it was a tornado making itself through a big city answers were starting to come out,but even more questions sometimes plagued me as of now everything I was thinking about was simply a theory there was no proof no clipboard where I could make sure it was true,but even as a theory they sense to me and it wasn't that I couldn't make them true I could test them !

Which is what I did basically,instead of growing the grass back to normal or checking other things I started to single mindedly create a lot of piles of different items onto the ground keeping a single normal slime next to it and ordering it to eat that entire pile.

In total I had created 15 different piles of items that each individual single slime would eat until there was nothing left,the 15 items I choose were ranging from different types of herbs that had collected by the slimes to hard and unusual items like iron axes and swords I even put a pile of of course I didn't make the pile a mix of different elemental attributes,but rather a single attribute in which I choose earth as the experimental subject.

What would happen from this was mystery to me and I honestly fully expected it to go wrong or fail in some way what I was worried the most was the earth attribute the rest of the item piles that were currently eaten by the slimes could be always renewed or recovered with one way or another,but the stone were very precious used for enchanting I really didn't want them to go to waste,but even if they did go to waste I probably wouldn't regret it that much since the information of failure was worth it as much as it was a success,it would spare me future experiments and also give me a example sheet for me to work on other tests if needed.

In anyway I was pretty much lost in my own devices setting up the piles and watching the slimes interact with them,while I was doing that I didn't even notice that the slimes who were responsible for cooking preparation were already finished waiting for my further notice not even rimulu or the beasts in the area bothered to speak with me as they both saw me to be busy with my own work rimulu in particular seemed fascinated about the things about the things I was doing she seemed in particular astound that I pulled a big pile of

I only snapped back to myself when suddenly a surveillance slime called for me to inform me of something.

The surveillance slimes wouldn't usually contact me about something if it wasn't important or directly involved with us which is why I always take these calls since they helped us numerous with both survival and information this time it wasn't different.

-Yes,what is it ?

I asked,the call was a surprising I couldn't help,but get tense and stand up for a moment while looking at the wall I was honestly fully expecting some kind of horde running our way,but as it turns out that wasn't the case.

-Lord sorron there is a huge snake in the forest far east from here chasing a group of people !

The first sentence of the slime had momentarily confused,if they are far east from her and nowhere near us why should I care ? The people intrigued me,but I wasn't going to leave home and safe them from their situation if I didn't have a good reason and as they say "No good deed goes unpunished" we are literally a group of monsters and beasts the girls,me and wylniva are the closest things that look human and even then it is quite obvious that we aren't human just by eyes and skin color or other extra body parts like horns and wings who says they can't turn on us if we rescue them or even tell people that we exist if I had to face such people I would rather face them alone like I did with the adventures group back then to get some information at least at those times I could always make up stories.

Such thoughts constantly rounded up inside my mind,I really wanted to ask the slime why I should care,but at the next sentence it spoke I realized why it was calling us in the first place.

-The snake and the group of people are heading towards the other human camp

As soon as those words were conveyed I felt a chill going down my back...the situation surprisingly turn towards a dire outcome...

-Wahhh...the bath was really refreshing...I really want some meat now..maybe even alcohol...

-Yeah,my head also stopped hurting food seems good right now,but I pass on the drinks...I had enough already

From the corner of my eyes I could see the girls coming out of the bath finally,I wasn't sure how long it had been since they were inside and looking at them I could see that everyone had miraculously recovered already looking a lot more cleaner and healtier then before with their clothes loosely on their bodies looking very neat and beautiful.

For a moment I thought how good it was that they recovered so fast,but that thought immediately distinguished when I came back to the current reality of the events that were happening right now.

Gnashing my teeth for a second I swiftly turned towards the girls there was a feeling of hurry directly conveyed through my eyes the girls also immediately stopped after seeing me show those kinds of eyes their initiate happy demeanor of seeing me had quickly changed towards a quiet and serious tone as they listened.
