Harry crawled out of the cockpit after what Jake would call a brief test flight.
“How was it?” Jake asked. Jake only heard a groan. “That good, well, what power level did you get it to?” Jake said with a chuckle.
“30%.”
“What was that?”
“30%, and you could have warned me how easy it was to move the throttles.”
“Yer, sorry about that. It kind of needs a light touch. Well, it’s your turn,” Jake said, looking at Mike.
“No, I think I’ve changed my mind. I’m not stepping foot in that thing.”
“That reminds me we should pick a name for the blueprint.” Harry said
“I don’t know.”
“Maybe we should call it the death trap.” Mike jokingly said,
“That’s fine with me. What about you, harry?”
“I think that name is quite fitting for that thing. It’s clearly got way too much power for its size.”
“Okay, that’s it then.”

A three engine door stop with stubby wings.
Jake laughed as he read the description.
After having a good laugh with Harry and what seemed to be a very nice alcoholic beverage. Jake grabbed his copy of the blueprints and said his fear wells to Harry and Mike before going to find the group he brought here as there time is up and Jake needed to get back to earth to begin the preparations and to do some epic diplomacy he needed to organise a fighting force out of earth’s population his hope was to use the UN to get earth to fight the new threat but to do this he needed some good diplomats Jake had a simple set of goals
1. Build up the strength of the demon’s hand mercenary group and its military forces.
2. Let it be known that swift action awaits anyone who dares to attack Jake’s interests.
3. Unite the beast folk under one banner.
4. Get the UN to unite the power houses on earth.
5. Distribute an inferior copy of the death trap that Jake and Harry had made called meat. It only had two engines, no shielding and only one centrally mounted cannon.
6. Join the fight against the invaders under the name of the demon’s hand mercenary group with a fighting force that includes his gunship, and another one constructed from the blueprints Jake will need to make.
entering the cottage, Jake headed straight for the library where his teachers were located.
“It’s time to go back.” Jake said
The smith’s looked up at Jake and nodded as well as one of the alchemist but that one old man in the corner ignored Jake and kept reading the book he had in his hand Jake walked over to the man, reaching out Jake pulled the book from him and read the title out loud
“The first steps to becoming an arcane smith.” Jake sighed.
"What was the rule I had? You were not to read anything about this profession. Now please tell me what did I say would happen if you broke that rule?”
As jake said this, two people entered the room. One of them said “death will come to those that break the rules of the demon’s hand mercenary group’s founder.” After saying this, Mary stepped forward and stabbed her knife into the man’s throat before anyone could speak. Jake looked over at the rest of the group.
“Now, have any of you broken the rule?”
every single person stayed silent, not even willing to utter a word.

“Good, let’s get going then.”
Jake pulled out his token and activated it the next moment they were back on earth within Jake’s territory.
“Okay, you lot get to work on the teaching. As for you two, I am assuming you know what to do.”
“Yes, sir.” The two combat mercenaries left in a flash, heading directly for the guards’ training grounds. While Jake headed directly for the council members’ office. He had a job for them to do and they better bloody do it. That alchemist put Jake in a terrible mood. Jake didn’t want to kill him, but why couldn’t he just listen?
Jake stood outside the main entrance to the council office. “Okay, it’s time.” Jake took a breath and pushed the door open and walked inside. He handed directly for the council members’ office as he was about to approach the hull way a man stopped him.
“I’m sorry, sir, you can’t go in there.” Jake looked at the man, anger in his eyes
“why have you stopped me?”
“The council members are correctly in session and they don’t wish to be disturbed.”
Jake just looked at the man
“If you don’t wish to follow the council members’ commands, I’m going to have to ask you to leave the building.”
“Jake had had just about enough of this bullshit, so do the council members out rule the owner of this territory.”
“No sir. But I haven’t actually seen the owner of this territory before.”
“Well, you have now, so get out of my way. I am in a bad mood right now.” As jake said this, he changed into his demon form just to get the point across.
“Sorry sir, go right ahead third door on the left.” The man said, panicking. Jake just walked off and pushed open the third door on the left as he walked in the room was full of shouting one group was saying that they should fight the alien invaders while the other was saying they should try to get a peace treaty with them. Jake didn’t really care what anyone in the room thought as he said, “there will be no treaty with any invader if we let them g–” Jake was interrupted by the only human out of uniform
“who do you think you are to interrupt a meeting of the council?”
Jake simply shrugged and asked the man his name. The man promptly replied in the most pompous tone, “my name is Hank Brightling and who are yo–” the moment the man said his name, Jake simply removed him as a council member. “A council member that doesn’t even know who the owner of this territory is clearly doesn’t deserve to be on the council. Get out.”
The man tried to speak but Jake cut him off once more
“this is a council meeting and you are interrupting it. Sir, if you don’t wish to follow the council members’ commands, I’m going to have to ask you to leave the building.”
The man left in a huff as jake sat down in one chair and asked, “so what have I missed?”
“Sir, we have noticed that the Europe branch has encountered an enemy that could be the ones mentioned in the system message. They managed to steal one of the ships and flew it back here. However, they were delayed in delivering the message to us, so we do not have the full situation on the ground.”
“But what we do know is that they are significantly more advanced than we are and they have the power to wipe us out just sitting up there in space.” The other human said this human was a member of the guards.
“You are right at this point in time. We seem to be outclassed in many areas but.” Jake pulled out a blueprint and slapped it on the table
“This design, which I created, can be stored in a storage device and is cheap and fucking fast to make.”
Jake pulled out a second blueprint of the same ship but with the modifications.
“this is the one I wish you to export. It is even cheaper to make. The jobs I have for you all to do to Unite the beast folk under one banner, then Get the UN to unite the power houses on earth, finally distribute that inferior copy of the death trap that Harry and I made its called meat. I recommend you do it quickly. Once I set things in motion at the demon’s hand mercenary group. I will head to Europe to have a look at the situation.” After saying this, Jake simply left the room and walked off.
“What the hell was that?” The members said
“Well, you heard the man this diction is over. We should get to work on the jobs he has given us hank get back in here and help. I will try to get your position back later, but for now, we need your help. You and Joe will be dealing with the UN I don’t care what you have to do as long as it doesn’t affect us it is good also give them a hint that we will be producing ships for export soon and as for you two you now your job and the same goes for them to ships for export, just make sure they unite as for me I’m heading for the construction zone to get the factory’s pumping out these two designs as fast as they can.”
Jake was now in Kiki’s office talking about the issues that arose when he was gone the rundown was basically the same except it seemed unlike the council the mercenary group had already decided what they were doing the ship that was taken was sent back to Europe with as many mercenaries as it could hold Kiki stayed behind to inform Jake about the situation it was also good to now that most of the settlement guards had joined the mercenary group the moment the new structure had been made public. The new mercenary guards took over the old training grounds and housing of the old settlement guards. Once Kiki had gone through all the information, Jake said with a smile, “well at least one group in the settlement knows what the hell to do. I have also sent Mary and Lewis to train the guards in the mercenary group they were trained by members from the second branches guards they should be able to whip them into shape relatively quick and the settlement will begin production of a simplified design of a ship it holds one person and is quick I recommend the mercenary group acquire as many as we can get also there are two designs you want the one named death trap not meat. The second one will get you killed while the other one might get you killed. If I were you, I would definitely take the might over the definite.”
“Will do boss, might I ask what you will do next?”
“Well, I only had two things for the mercenary group to do. One was to make it clear that anyone attacking Jake’s interests would face swift action, and the other was to join the fight against the invaders under the name of the Demon’s Hand mercenary group. So I think after having a quick look at the construction site, I will go directly to Europe.”
“That’s exactly what I wanted to hear. Good luck, boss.”
“Thank you.” Jake said as he left the room.
Jake left for the construction site; he got there in record time. The site now looked more like a factory there was one huge building that’s footprint was bigger than the Holden motor factory but then there were two other buildings both with at least twenty stories high Jake was guessing they were the research building Jake entered the first building and asked the reception where the leader of this facility was located the reception person promptly responded with
“top floor Emma is already up there with them, sir.”
Jake was a little stumped at how reception recognised him as no one else had. Jake walked to the elevator and got in, riding it all the way up. Only then did he understand how they knew, as he ran his hand over his head. “I’m still in my demon form now. That makes sense.”
Opening the door to the top office, Jake said, “do you think this could be any more ostentatious having an office on the top floor of a building?”
