Chapter 50 level 2 undead

Chapter 50 level 2 undead

“Take the left flank,” Franky shouted over the top of the growling horde that was pinning the team down. The battle began fifteen minutes after Jake had left to gather intelligence on the location the boss would most likely be.

Elizabeth ran to the left and started destroying undead beast folk one by one with the only weapons the group of vampires had. Wind blades sliced apart their enemies on three sides Franky had his team running in a relay with one of them always recovering in the rear ready at a moments notice to fill in a gap if a breakthrough happened this went on for over an hour before Jake got back.

Looking over the battlefield, Jake played a support role in this fight, so he quickly jumped down to where Franky was recovering.

“Franky, what is the situation?”

“We have been fighting for about an hour or so and we’re running low on mana. We have been holding off on taking potions. Our biggest issue right now is the left flank. The undead are focusing their attacks on that side. The enemy is not smart there, like zombies. We could use some help on the left flank, but don’t go too hard. The enemies maybe weak, but there are a lot of them and they don’t seem to be slowing down, so I believe the individual in command of them is trying to wear us down.”

“Just take it as an opportunity and grind some levels. I will do my best to support you when you inevitably falter.” Jake dashed to support Elizabeth. Jake began using the same techniques the others were using as he didn’t know if the commander could somehow see the battlefield and, if possible, Jake wanted to keep some of his skills a secret for now.

Jake dashed into battle, kicking off head after head. If it wasn’t for his new boots, he would have slipped on the blood that covered everything. With Jake helping out on the left flank, Elizabeth could try to rest and regain her strength, but just five minutes later, a loud roar bellowed down the street Jake was on.

“Shit. Elizabeth, take up Jake’s position. I will send Harald over once we have suppressed his and Albert’s position.”

Elizabeth ran back to Jake’s location, her body dangerously low in stamina. Jake looked over at her and asked. “Have you taken any positions?”

“No.” She replied. Only to have a potion placed in her hand a moment later.

“Take that. You are going to need it. I’m going to take on that behemoth over there, so you will need to hold this position alone.” Once Jake said this, he turned his gaze on the creature.

Race behemoth humanoid ghoul

Grade G

Level 360

Weak points. The behemoth humanoid ghoul lacks the understanding of pain and its height is a detriment to its reaction speed.

Forgoing his earlier restrictions, Jake teleported directly behind the behemoth and, at Jake’s full height, was only that of the behemoth’s big toe. Jumping up and punching the back of the behemoth’s knee, Jake was hoping to bring it down, but all he got in return was an earth shattering gong. His skin on his right hand had been rendered from his body the pain of the hit overwhelming his sense a second too long as the behemoth was now upon him its gigantic fist barrelling down towards him Jake desperately tried to move out of the way knowing the strength of the monster the behemoths strength stat far out weighed Jake’s own. Jake never thought that the strength stat would be that important. Only now, when he was at his end, did he realise as the behemoth’s fist inches away from his body just stopped in its track? No, it wasn’t just the behemoth, but everything around him just stopped. Jake was wondering what it was when a timer appeared in front of him.

Notification

Skill activated

Boosted Arcane Berzerka of Time (epic)

Time belongs to no one slow time in a localised zone outside of your body. As time is slowed outside, inside Time has been increased, boosting your reaction speed as your mind focuses on destroying your enemies. Skill will only activate in times of the caster’s greatest need. A backlash will occur when the skill deactivates. Maximum time the skill can be active for is 20 seconds before complete atomic breakdown of the casters body will begin.

System recommends deactivating this skill immediately; atomic breakdown will begin in 20 seconds.

19 seconds.

Jake quickly kicked off of the ground, running up the arm of the frozen behemoth as he charged his punch. Once he reached his destination, Jake launched his fist right into the behemoth’s eye, followed by multiple wind blades courtesy of his new boots. Some form of sticky liquid covered Jake.

10 seconds.

As the behemoth’s eyeball explored, Jake entered the socket, still furiously kicking and punching his way deeper into the monster’s skull, till finally he was standing upon his target. He began his plan. Jake’s mind solely focused on his task. Bring down the behemoth. He kicked and punched at anything in sight. Till there was nothing left of the beast’s brain, every receptor the behemoth had was now gone. He would have continued his rampage, but just as he was about to continue, his body collapsed in pain, a pain that Jake had never felt in his life. Jake looked at the clock.

3 seconds.

He deactivated the skill as quickly as he could, watching the clock as his sight went dark.

0 seconds

-1 second atomic breakdown has begun.

Warning as a last ditch effort granted by system interference, stat points are being used to mitigate atomic degradation.

These were the last notifications Jake received before everything went black.

Elizabeth

After throwing her the potion, Jake vanished and not even a second later was right at the behemoth’s foot. He was no bigger than an insect to a human in her eyes. The next moment, this insect was attacking the behemoth only for the predicted thing to happen. The behemoth’s fist was now coming directly at Jake. Elizabeth tried to break free from her battle to help save him but to her dismay she couldn’t make an opening she watched as the giant fist came directly at Jake then everything around her froze her mind though was still firing at full speed only she couldn’t move her body. Time ticked by as she was stuck in this state. Eventually, she was set free from her torment and the world resumed its movement. In the distance, a loud roar bellowed out, followed by an earth shattering crash that shook the entire 2nd level of the dungeon. Elizabeth looked over at the behemoth and saw it flat on the ground and, hanging half out of its eye socket, lay the one she wanted to help. A moment later Harald arrived before asking the million dollar question

“What the hell was that?”

Elizabeth just shrugged and, with a gesture, pointed out what was in the distance.

“Is he still alive?”

Elizabeth once again shrugged, then continued killing her enemies at a rate much faster than she was before. Only after a few minutes had passed did she notice that the density of her enemy had gotten to the point she was now searching for a target. Once she killed the last one she could find in her sector, did she regain her senses? Elizabeth looked over to where Jake was lying and noticed all three of her companions were already at his side. Quickly rushing over, she asked,

“Is he okay?”

“alive yes, okay I don’t know.”

“Can we not just turn him into one of us that should fix whatever is going on with him, right?” Elizabeth said frantically.

“No, we can’t. If we could, I already would have. He’s got some kind of power that is trying to tear him apart. The only thing holding him together right now is his amazing recovery skill. If any of us tried to turn him right now, not only would we fail, but we would also become infected with whatever power is trying to kill him, and we don’t possess his skill. Any way we don’t have to as his actually getting better. He may need a health potion or two, but he should be out of the woods now.” Franky said before sitting down beside Jake as he leaned up against the behemoth.

“This thing is fucken huge, don’t you think?” Harald said.

Erica

On a small moon, her fellow mercenaries know her as Lady Blake, but her enemies have given her the name of the ghost queen. To them, the ghost queen was the one that would strike their supply lines and capture their merchant ships, bringing them back to her lair situated on a moon. The forces now ageist her were the interior United Commerce Guild and the original enemy The Grand Empire of the Warring Path, a small enemy if you put them up against the interior United Commerce Guild. The Guild had so many members and its own armed force. Erica had been surprised to hear about an enemy that this force was set up to combat. Supposedly, this enemy took on the entire Guild alone, and she has been fighting them ever since. In the stories Erica had heard this woman would tear apart interior battle fleets with the flick of her finger and destroy solar systems like she was playing a gigantic game of Billiards but for right now Erica’s biggest opponent is the Red Rock Slavers this group would normally only enter newly integrated universes but the moment they heard that the leader of a newly formed mercenary group was a Nordicless they rushed five full battle divisions to suppress the rise of the new mercenaries. They just couldn’t have a place that their most profitable items could hide. But to their dismay, it wasn’t them that were doing the oppression; it was the mercenaries that were ambushing any supply convoy they sent out.

In the planetary space dock that orbited Erica’s home would, a group of slavers were in a meeting with two representatives from The Grand Empire of the Warring Path and one representative from the Armed Forces of the United Commerce Guild.

“We have requested your support on this matter because the content raids on our fleet has been crippling our bottom line we can no longer make a profit in this sector as all of our best products are being stolen by this so called mercenary group even dears flaunt itself by taking on that name. Have we even figured out if it belongs to that demon bitch?” the red rock slavers said.

“While you may have argued that you can’t make a profit in this area. Why did you invade our territory? We of The Grand Empire of the Warring Path will not assist you in this matter till every warship you have brought into our territory has even handed over to us as reparations for your continued interference in our matters.”

“We will never do that.”

“Don’t think we don’t know what you have been doing since you arrived. If you don’t hand over our people that you have enslaved, we will have no alternatives but to start a crusade against your group.”

The last member of the meeting finally spoke out on the matters. “As a member of the United Commerce Guild, we are duty bound to assist you in the event that a war occurs.”

“That’s great, so you will help us destroy this mercenary group, then.” The red rock slaves said

“No.”

The slavers were stunned by the reply. “What do you mean by no? We are at war.”

“No, you are not at war and no, we will not fight in a war that you may create by evading the territory of a neutral party.”

“Wait, you just said that your duty bound to fight.”

“No, I said assist, and our assistance will be the same as when you enter a newly integrated universe.”

“So you will do fucken nothing then.”

“We will provide a platform so that all sides of the conflict will get to talk and come up with a peace plan.”

“So like I said, fucken nothing. What’s the point in having the Armed Forces of the United Commerce Guild if all you ever do is talk?” the red rock slaver shouted, spit flying out of his mouth, his red skin turning a darker shade as he raged on.
