The demon of death

Millions of years before Jake everval entered the system imposed universal constants a lady was standing on what was left of her home would after the endless purges of her entire race her name was formerly known as Lady Emerant Vex but now she goes by the name the demon of death. She was once a doctor, but now after what had happened to her people, she put down her life saving ways and took up her newfound death giving powers. She only had one chance to escape this planet, and that was now she had to get aboard one of the invasion ships that entered the planet’s atmosphere. Her goal was to get aboard a small ship and kill any and all members of the United Commerce Guild. She knows that this goal of hers may not be obtainable, but as the demon of death, she will make them suffer for what they did.

The demon of death stood on top of a rocks outcrop overlooking the spaceport that the United Commerce Guild built on her planet her white dress blowing in the wind her demon form was that of a green dragon in a humanoid shape black lines ran from below her eyes down her face till disappeared below her blouse her skin was that of dragon hide and her hands and feet were claws. Her ethereal wings flashed behind her as she ripped through the spaceport, decapitating any who stood in her path.

Beast folk kingdom

There was a purple and red planet in a solar system squished between the wandering imperium and the united commerce guilds home territory the planet was home to a man named Berk Carr he founded his territory in his universes in the early integration into the system and now and now he is attempting to form a peace treaty with both of his neighbours but he hit a roadblock the absolutely ridiculous demands that was handed down by the countless members of the united commerce guild. They ranged from simple demands that on paper sounds feasible like reparations for damages to the Guilds fleet then there was the others like the complete dissolution of the beast folk kingdom and the enslavement of his people and any Nordicless people from his territory and the death of Aaliyah La flame and any people she is harbouring that know how to use her smithing methods. Clearly, this was beyond any possibilities of peace, so Berk only had one opinion left to him, and that was to seek help from other like-minded groups. The beast folk kingdom already had a defensive treaty with the wandering imperium. His next step was to find information on the demon of death, Freed slaves coalition and finally the attacking wedge. This Group of like-minded individuals had one very important thing in common and that put them all at odds with at least one member group of the united commerce guild.

Freed slaves coalition

The freed slaves coalition came into existence the day the planet, formally known as Miranda one, was created. It was a day every individual on that planet would remember for the rest of their lives. Ten large ships exited FTL and began an orbital bombardment of all military bases that had been constructed after the system became known to them after the bombardment ended a group of red humanoids came down and began rounding up anyone they could catch bringing them directly to the ships in orbit. On the opposite side of the planet, hidden on the dark side of the moon was the last of the planet’s military most of which had once been slaves to the former emperor of the Miranda solar system now they have been freed when there former emperor died in the initial bombardment. The group only had one lightly armed battleship and a fleet of fifteen fighters the plans of which were made before the system then updated to allow for FTL travel the group of over six thousand military personnel, five thousand of which were former slaves and the final thousand where a group of officers that turned against their former employer and in the process took the battleship and its complement of fighters. In the moon base, two people were talking about their next course of act. One was a former slave named Frederick and the other a former admiral of the emperor’s army named Aaron

“Frederick, what is your plan for the future? And the plans of your followers. I would like to ask if we could continue to work together so we can all get out of here alive.”

“The former slaves would like to form a coalition with you and your people. We would also like to run some missions with your assistance to free as many people as we can from these invaders.”

“I would like that, Alot, and if our coalition is based on freeing people from these invaders, then maybe we should call it the freed slaves’ coalition or somethi–.”

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.

A notification that he and Frederick simultaneously received interrupted the admiral.

“Well, I guess that’s that then, a coalition. It is then, too bad about that name, though I didn’t even get any input on that.” Frederick said with a grin.

Wandering Imperium

A young Aaliyah stood on her home world fifteen years after the fall now the only creatures left on the planet other than herself were a bunch of insects and arachnids she had been killing bugs non-stop for fifteen years till finally she managed to get to E grade here only goal was to get off of this planet and head out into the cosmos and develop her new profession seeking others like her for help in building a better future for those left in situations similar to her own.

Her first course of action was to get off this dead rock. One thing that made Aaliyah want to leave her home would so much was its complete lack of arcane energy. when her planet was invaded, the invaders used some kind of machine to suck the planet dry the energy was slowly coming back but not fast enough for what Aaliyah needed to work on her profession she could make small and medium size items with the help of an object the system awarded her for being the sole survivor of her people. Setting her escape plan into motion she took another three years of moving around her lonely planet to find pockets of arcane energy to build one object and that was a spaceship of sorts, it would be better to say it was a rocket engine strapped to a wheelbarrow with small manoeuvring thrusters. Aaliyah didn’t try this earlier because she didn’t have the ability to survive in space without some form of life-support but now she is in E grade she could at least she could survive for a limited time that is and her goal was to steal one of the ships that have been in orbit for the last four years. She didn’t know how they were, but for Aaliyah, this was her only option for escape, so she climbed into her wheelbarrow. Then, reaching behind herself, she activated the rocket engine, blasting her out of the atmosphere and into orbit.

System imposed structure

On the bridge of a ship orbiting a desolate planet recently sucked dry of arcane energy, stood a group of individuals they were watching a recording of an individual from the surface heading their way in what looked like a wheelbarrow as a group of fighters escorted her in.

“bring her in.” One individual said, shaking his head.

“You know if she is a survivor, and this is her planet, we must follow the system’s instructions on this matter.” A female member said.

“Yes, I know. Establish the planet’s energy recovery and provide security for the system in the form of self-sacrifice, then hand it all over to her.”

“And you are willing to do that?”

“I will follow the religion to the end.” The man replied

“Don’t worry, our order will look after you and the children when I’m gone, my wife.”

“That’s not the point.” She shouted before storming out of the room. Moments later, the wheelbarrow flying lady entered.

“May I ask your name, miss?” The man asked as he invited her to take a seat.

“Aaliyah La flame.” She said

“Do you mind if I ask you a bunch of questions about what happened to this planet?” The man asked. Aaliyah nodded her head in response.

“First, are you a native of this planet? What drained the plant’s energy, and who did it?”

“Yes, I am the last surviving native and the planet’s energy was draining by some kind of machine and I didn’t know who did it. We just called them invaders at the time.”

The man looked over at one of the other people in the room. The individual nodded.

A second later, the man Aaliyah was talking to handed her a tablet, then asked if he could be excused.

Founders alliance

In a room somewhere on a planet used only for the strict purpose of diplomatic talks between members of the alliance, known as the Founders alliance. An alliance founded to form a counterbalance to the local universal power called the United Commerce Guild and its allied groups. Aaliyah stood on a platform as she began to put her argument forward on why the Founders alliance should assist in the protection of a new organisation, only for her argument to be counted by one of her former commander’s

“You have already lost half of your fleet to this idiotic idea of yours. The man you wish to protect may be similar to you, but he is only a low ranker. There is a high possibility he will die even before he leaves his home world. And you still want these fine people to put their lives on the line for him. This is why we had to leave.”

“The founder of the organisation is an arcane smith Yes, but it is not him that I want to protect but the organisation. The organisation is a mercenary group that is not affiliated with any major party. That means we will be able to use them to fight back against our enemies, and I also believe this mercenary group will become a major power in the future.” Aaliyah said.

“What is this mercenary group’s name?” lady that looked like a demon asked,

Aaliyah looked over at her and said, “demon hand mercenary group.”

The room went silent for a moment before one of the others in the room asked, looking over at the only demon in the room, “is this yours?”

Aaliyah jumped in before anyone could reply, “no, this group has nothing to do with the demon of death, the founder of the group is himself a demon. I believe he goes by the name of the demon of the past. But we should not judge the man by his race, should we?” Aaliyah looked over at her former commander.

The demon of death finally spoke as she said, “as a demon it would be best if we don’t get involved with the man but there may be merit in what Aaliyah said about this mercenary group. I will be going to look at this group to see if it measures up to its name and I will do this immediately after we have finished this conference. On that note, this conference will be suspended for now, with no decisions made until I get back.”

After the demon of death said this, she left the room leaving everyone in the room but one shocked at her actions the only one that wasn’t had a grin on his face that said I win and now your pet will die to one of his own.
