Chapter 45 cleaning agent x

Chapter 45 cleaning agent x

Jayne was curled up in Jake’s lap as the two flow over countless countries on their way to meet up with Eric so they could figure out the best actions to take when Jake noticed something on the ground he couldn’t pass up Jake reached down and patted Jayne on the head as he said “I’ve found a location to clean ourselves up. And it looks like there might even be enough materials around to fix this slow ass runabout.”

jake deactivated the autopilot and brought the runabout down landing it just outside the what worked to be a complex that was situated beside a river Jake deactivated his demon form then with Jayne wrapped around one of his arms he exited the runabout and began his search for scrap metal

“Husband, I thought you said we were going to have a wash.”

“You know you can just call me Jake, just like I call you Jayne, right?”

“Yes, husband, I am aware.”

“Okay, as long as you're aware.” Jake said before opening up an engine bay of an old car and grabbing the metal from inside

“to answer your previous question. I am going to fix the ship first because it will make me dirty, so having a wash later would be more efficient, don’t you think, my beautiful wife?” Jake felt Jayne wriggle when he said the last bit.

“So, Jayne, do you have a profession, by any chance?”

“Yes, but it’s a little odd and I need some tools to do it.” Jayne hissed as her head popped out of Jake’s shirt collar.

“Interesting. What tools do you need?”

“Something called a cauldron, but what’s really strange is I only got this profession when I became your wife.”

Jake was worried Jayne had somehow become an arcane smith, so he had to ask. “Can you, by any chance, show me your system information?”

Seconds later, the information Jake requested and more displayed in front of Jake.

“So I’m guessing you want me to kill things more.”

“It would be beneficial for us both, but no, I’m here for you, not the levels.”

“That’s nice, thank you. I really needed that.” Jake said sincerely

“I actually have a cauldron, but I don’t know if it will work for you since it was designed for an arcane smith,” Jake said as he pulled out the cauldron. Jake put the two on the ground as Jayne slithered out of Jake’s top and over to the cauldron.

Then the surrounding air shimmered before the cauldron vanished

“Will it work for you?” Jake asked.

“I don’t know yet, but I will give it a try. By the way, this cauldron was yours, so you’re an arcane smith.”

“Yes, I am. Shall we go checkout the house? Maybe they will have some clothing for you in there.”

Jayne slithered back up Jake’s arm before he walked into the house that was more like a palace. Entering the main hall, Jake realised where they were. “This is one of the Russian oligarch’s houses. Okay, then let’s take what we want. They won’t mind. After all, they got their wealth from the Russian people after all.”

“What’s an oligarch?”

“An oligarch refers to an individual who gains political power from their wealth or business interests. At least that’s what my parents told me it was.”

“You have parents.”

“No, had they died when I was young?”

“Oh, sorry.”

“Don’t worry about it.”

Jake and Jayne walked up one of the two staircase leading to the second floor opening the large double doors to one room, it was as if Jake had just entered a BDSM movie only what was striking about this room wasn’t all the leather but the photos on the wall they were all images of men. Jake looked around the room a second then said, “yep I’m out.” But just before he left the door, Jayne asked.

“Can you pick those up?” Jake was worried for a second till he saw what she was looking at. In the room with nothing but black leather, Jayne had found the only piece of colour. The dress she found was a gorgeous low-cut red and black dress, with white lace separating the black and red sections. Its waist tapered in, and the skirt had red lace underneath the black layer, giving it volume. The length of the dress stopped at knee height. He also picked up a set of black fishnets and some combat boots with red laces. Jake then had a second look around the room and grabbed a black cloak with red lining. “Is that all you wanted” Jake said

“Yes, thank you. Now I might be able to fit in more when I’m in my humanoid form.”

“Yer, I don’t know about that. I’m pretty sure that you are still going to stand out.”

“Really? Why, if I have clothing like humans do, shouldn’t I be less visible?”

Jake sighed then said, “you are very pretty and trying to hide that fact will only make it stand out more. So just wear whatever you want.”

Jayne jumped out of Jake’s shirt and in an instant changed forms, giving him a hug he would never forget. Jake stood there. Shock in his eyes for a minute till he realised what was happening before he reciprocated the embrace.

Once the two stopped their embrace Jayne got dressed Jake thought to himself “she really does make those clothes look good. I wonder if I can make her something special.” Jake’s thoughts ran wild for a bit till Jayne said “shall we continue? We really should get going. You said we didn’t have much time right and I still want that wash.”

“Okay, well, since you have what you wanted, we can go to the water and I will finish fixing the runabout while you wash. I will clean up before we leave.”

Jake and Jayne went down to the river, pulling out the runabout before he got to work. While Jayne swam out in the river.

It took Jake the rest of the day to fix the broken engine Jake had managed to fix the badly damaged engine so he installed it back in its original spot then Jake swapped the two other engines so the good engines were on the left and right and the damaged engine was in the centre, the centre engine could still operate if Jake needed it but only for a limited time as it would run out of fuel fast. Jake then looked over at Jayne to say something but he saw she was in the middle of practising her alchemy, so he went down to the water as the sun was going down and washed out all the grime that had built up on his body.

“I have to ask her.”

Walking over to Jayne, Jake sat down and waited for her to finish. After ten agonising minutes, Jayne looked up Jake couldn’t hold back his question and blurted it out, “is there a way to use alchemy to clean a body, for example, a position that you can pour over yourself? Maybe a poison that does that. Please say yes, I really don’t want to have could wash anymore.”

Jayne looked up at him and laughed as she lifted a small bottle of black liquid from the cauldron. “This is the best I can do. For now, the ingredients are the issue.”

Jake used identify

Item

Potion cleansing poison (unranked)

A bottle of poison that stripes away light filth from an area two metres by two metres squared.

“That’s great. Is it safe to pour on human skin?”

“I don’t know. This is the first one that worked.”

Jake popped the cork and dipped his pinky into the liquid. Pain shot through his finger for a second, then a filing that could only be described as a tingle. Jake pulled out his finger. He hoped that the liquid didn’t just eat his pinky. He rased his hand up and looked at what had happened. Counting his fingers he shouted, “it’s still there. Okay, now for the actual test.” before Jayne could say anything Jake poured the inter contents of the bottle over his head the pain he felt this time was countless times worse Jake buckled over and groaned it’s worth it, then the tingling feeling began Jake stood back up and checked himself over he looked down his pants and said “all present and accounted for.”

“That could have killed you. Don’t ever do that again, or at least give me something first.” as she said the last bit, her voice got much quieter towards the end. Jake just nodded, only hearing the first half of what she said.

“You smell like flowers.” Jayne said

“Really, I smell nothing. Did you add flowers to the potion or something?”

“No, it was mostly my poison mixed with some other plants I found down by the river.”

“You should make some more. This stuff is good. The only problem I have with it is the pain at the beginning. Wait.”

Jake checked his health. It had gone down 150 points.

“So, it does have a side effect. It eats away at your health points a bit.”

“How much is a bit?”

“Around 150 points, maybe more.”

“Is that okay?”

“That amount of damage won’t affect me.”

“150 points won’t affect you?”

“Yes.” Jake sent her his stats
