Slimantha walked through a wooden hall, her black shoes lightly tapping against the wooden floor. Behind her, Rose the Plant Woman, pressed closer to Samuel the Hero From Another World. Rose fluttered her pink eyes at Samuel. The long locks of her beautiful pink hair swayed. Slimantha glanced back at the two of them and smiled.
“What do you think of this place?” Rose said. Her eyes were on Samuel. She fluttered them again. She pressed a tad closer, and her right arm brushed against him.
Samuel put a little distance between him and the green-skinned plant woman. “There are a lot of doors.” His blue eyes passed over one of the many wooden doors lining both sides of the hall. He glanced at the paper slip he held. That door was not the right door.
“Well, I think I will retire to my own apartment,” Rose said. She pressed closer to Samuel again and then whispered her apartment number into his ear. She pulled back, her long pink hair swaying. “If you need me, you know where to find me. Good luck finding your apartment.” She smiled and then turned to leave. Samuel’s blue eyes followed her as she walked away.
“You like what you see?” Slimantha said. The brown eyes of the tan-skinned woman went from Rose to Samuel. “You should ask her out.” She smiled. “You two would make such a cute couple.”
Samuel turned to Slimantha the Slime Summoner. “I am good. I just want to get to my apartment.” He sighed and then looked at the slip of paper again.
Slimantha stepped next to him and looked at the slip of paper herself. “I don’t really know where that apartment is.” She leaned a little closer, her left shoulder brushing against him. “Actually, I don’t even know where that wing is.” She straightened back up. “In that case, we keep looking. We are bound to find it eventually.” She made to take a step but then stopped at the sound of footsteps. “You hear that?” The footsteps were approaching, approaching from around the corner just up ahead. She looked at Samuel expectantly.
“Why are you just staring at me?” Samuel said. His blue eyes were on Slimantha.
“Isn’t it obvious?” Slimantha crossed her arms. “Someone is approaching from around the corner. Now is your chance to have one of those cliche scenes where you run into someone while rounding a corner.”
Samuel blinked and then looked at the corner. “I am so not doing that.”
A gorgeous curvy woman with long golden hair and golden eyes stepped around the corner. Actually, her entire body was that same golden hue. Her footfalls came to a stop, her golden eyes falling across Slimantha and Samuel. She wore a short-sleeved shirt and mid-skirt, both golden in color. A pair of golden shoes clad her feet. A smile spread across her face, and she stepped up to Slimantha and Samuel. She was Mimi the Golden Woman.
“Hi,” Mimi said, her golden eyes going to Samuel. “I don’t believe we have met. I am Mimi the Golden Woman, mayor of Bleakfyre.” She smiled, her golden eyes on Samuel’s face.
“Hello, Ms. Mimi. Nice to meet you,” Samuel said. He smiled at her. “I am Samuel the Hero From Another World.” He blushed as Mimi reached out and took his right hand in her hands. She pulled her hands away, a golden coin purse being left behind in Samuel’s right hand.

“Some starting currency for you,” Mimi said. “I am also Bleakfyre’s treasure master.” She smiled at Samuel.
Samuel’s blue eyes went to the coin purse he now held. He slipped the coin purse into his right pocket, and then his eyes went back to Mimi. “Ms. Mimi, I hope this does not sound rude, but what are you?”
“What am I?” Mimi giggled, bringing her right hand to her golden lips. “I am a mimic. Can’t you tell?” Her eyes returned to Samuel. “Want to see something cool?” Her eyes sparkled.
“Sure,” Samuel said. He watched as Mimi crouched down. A large red wooden chest with a curved top appeared around her. He cocked his right eyebrow and stepped up to the chest. Slimantha giggled beside him, her right hand going up to conceal her lips.
“What are you waiting for?” Mimi’s voice called out from within the chest. “Open it already.”
“Why do I feel like I am going to regret this?” Samuel placed his hands on the chest’s lid. Slimantha giggled again from beside him. He lifted the top and a curvy golden woman, Mimi, swiftly pulled him in. The lid slammed shut. Slimantha bent over and laughed.
Slimantha’s laughter died away, and she straightened up. She looked at the red chest, a sweatdrop rolling down her right cheek. She raised her right hand and then gave the chest a few knocks. “I kind of want that hero back,” she deadpanned.
The chest’s lid swung open and a disheveled Samuel came flying out. He tumbled unceremoniously to the wooden floor. Behind him, Mimi stepped out of the chest. The chest then dissolved away. Her golden eyes went to the hero, who was staggering to his feet. She smiled. “Fun, right?” she said.
“I,” Samuel panted, still looking disheveled, “thought I was done for.” His blue eyes went to Mimi. “I thought you were really going to eat me.”
“Nonsense.” Mimi waved the notion off. “I was so not going to eat you, but,” her golden eyes sparkled, “you were kind of tasty.” Samuel paled quite visibly. “Anyway, care to join me for a moonlight walk?” She extended her right hand to Samuel.
“Actually, I would rather just find my apartment,” Samuel said. He held up the slip of white paper to emphasize his point.
“Oh, let me see,” Mimi said. She pressed up against Samuel’s right, her golden eyes going to the paper slip. Slimantha did likewise but at Samuel’s left. Samuel now stood sandwiched between the two curvy women. Mimi’s eyes lit up. “I know where that is.” She grabbed Samuel’s left hand with her right and started hauling him down the hall. A short while later, the group came to a stop. Samuel stood in front of a wooden door, the door to his apartment. Slimantha and Mimi stood behind him.
Samuel turned to Mimi and smiled at her. “Thanks for the help,” he said.
“No problem.” Mimi smiled back at him and then gestured to the apartment to the left of his. “My apartment is one down.” She giggled.
“I see.” Samuel glanced at the door to Mimi’s apartment. He then looked back at the door to his. He held the paper slip up. “What was I supposed to do with this?”
“Let me,” Slimantha said. She leaned toward him and plucked the paper slip from his hands. She turned to the wooden door and then pressed the paper slip on the door with her right thumb. With a little puff of smoke, the slip vanished. Her thumb now held a silver key against the door. She pulled her thumb back. She caught the key as it fell. “Here you go.” She handed the key to Samuel.
“Thanks.” Samuel accepted the key and then turned to the door. His blue eyes went to the keyhole on the door’s silver knob. He unlocked and then opened the door without issue. His eyes went to Slimantha and Mimi. “Thanks for the help. See you girls later.” He shut the door, leaving Slimantha and Mimi alone in the hall.
Slimantha turned to Mimi and smiled. She grabbed hold of the other woman’s hands, her soft tan skin pressing against Mimi’s soft golden skin. “Mind if I join you for that walk?” Slimantha said. She got a little nod and a smile from Mimi, and then the two women headed out into the night.
