Slimantha stretched her arms and smiled. The warm sun shined down on her. Her black shoes pressed down into the lush green grass of Spider-Lily Park. Mimi the Golden Woman stood beside her. A bit further off, Samuel and Black stood next to a patch of red spider lilies. The red of the blooms contrasted nicely with the green of the lush grass.
Black glanced from the patch of lovely red spider lilies to Samuel. Her brown eyes met his blue eyes, and she smiled at him. “What do you think of the flowers?” she said, her tail swishing playfully. “Kind of a misunderstood plant, but the flowers are pretty.” She crouched down in front of the spider-lily patch to get a closer look. Then she brought her strawberry milkshake toward her mouth and inserted the straw between her lips. She took a little sip.
“They are pretty,” Samuel said, crouching down beside the petite cat woman. She glanced at him as he did so. Her brown eyes then went back to the spider lilies. “They still kind of creep me out though.” He poked one of the spider lilies.
“What did the spider lilies do to him?” Mimi said, crossing her arms. She then puffed her cheeks out.
Slimantha giggled beside Mimi, the slime summoner bringing her right hand to her lips. She then lowered her right hand, and her brown eyes went to Mimi. “Well, red spider lilies do have that death-association thing going on,” Slimantha said, giggling again afterwards.
Mimi glared at Slimantha, the mimic’s arms still crossed. “I will have you know they are very lovely plants,” she said. Her gaze then softened, and she lowered her arms. She sighed. Her golden eyes drifted down to the lush green grass for a moment before going back up to Slimantha’s face. Her eyes met Slimantha’s brown eyes. “Find anything interesting when you went sword hunting?”
“Sword hunting?” Slimantha blinked and then just stared at Mimi for a moment.
A drop of sweat rolled down Mimi’s right cheek. “I mean when you went to check out that lead Black gave you.”
Slimantha blinked again. “Oh, that sword hunting.” She put her right hand behind her head and gave a sheepish laugh. “Well, we found ruins, skeletons, and a brick golem. I guess that is kind of interesting.” She blinked yet again, and then her expression lit up. “Oh, that’s right! There was a well, a glorious well! Well, it might have been hungering for my bones though. I am not all that clear on that.” She turned away from Mimi, her long brown hair swaying with the motion.
For a moment, Mimi just stood there, a dumbfounded expression on the golden woman’s face. She blinked. “Why would a well want to eat your bones?”
Slimantha turned back to Mimi. Her brown eyes met Mimi’s golden eyes. “What if it was a bone-eater well?” she said and then pointed at her own head with both her hands. “Think, Mimi! Think! If it was a bone-eater well, of course it would be hungering for my bones.”

“I-I see.” Mimi looked away from the woman going on about the well. Her golden eyes went to Black.
Black had returned to standing by that patch of red spider lilies. Samuel stood at her left. Black raised her strawberry milkshake to her lips and finished it off. She smiled and lowered the now-empty paper cup. Her black cat tail swished behind her. Her brown eyes glanced about before settling on a nearby wastebasket, a nearby wastebasket that sat beside a tree. Pretty little pink blossoms displayed along the branches of the tree, and a few red spider lilies poked up around the tree’s trunk. She walked over to the wastebasket beside the tree, her feline tail swaying behind her. She then chucked the empty paper cup into the wastebasket before stretching her arms. Her brown eyes then went to Samuel, and she then walked back to him. She smiled at him, and he smiled back at her. Her tail swished again.
“So you like milkshakes?” Samuel said, his blue eyes still on Black. “Maybe I could get you one sometime.”
“I do like a good milkshake,” Black said. Her black feline tail swished cutely behind her. “I have a better idea for now though.” She pressed closer to Samuel. Her tail gave another cute swish. Samuel’s cheeks reddened as she pressed up against him. Her tail gave yet another cute swish, and she got up on her tiptoes. “Let’s spar.” She then pulled away, a smiled on her face.
“S-Spar?” Samuel blinked, the color of his face returning to normal. His blue eyes scanned over the petite cat woman standing in front of him. “Well, I guess we could.” He smiled. “Why don’t you have the first attack?”
“So you are just going to stand there and let me hit you then?” Black crossed her arms and looked down. She then looked back up at Samuel. Her brown eyes met his blue eyes. “Well, it works for me, but you really shouldn’t underestimate me due to me being smaller than you.” She drew her right hand back and smiled. “Remember you chose to just let me punch you in this sparring match.” She slammed her fist forward, slammed it right into Samuel’s gut.
Samuel dropped to his knees, his face pale. “Y-You have a strong punch,” he finally managed to say, barely able to get the words out. Color began to slowly return to his face.
“Don’t look at me like that.” Black crossed her arms, her tail swishing playfully behind her. “You are the one who decided to just let me punch you.” She smiled. “I can go harder though. If you think that punch was strong, check this out.” She leapt up. Inky black formed along her right foot as she descended with a mighty right kick.
Samuel paled all over again. Frantically, he threw himself to his left. Black slammed down at his right, her foot hammering down into the park’s lush grass. “Y-You win. I give,” Samuel said. A cold sweat had drenched him.
“Well,” Black rose back to her feet, “that was disappointingly fast.” She frowned. “I thought you’d last longer. Maybe I went too hard.” She then smiled, her brown eyes on Samuel, who was stumbling to his own feet at this point. “Sorry about that. My bad.” She then blinked at the sound of crackling beneath her. She stepped back and looked down. The ground in front of her promptly caved in. A drop of sweat rolled down her right cheek, and then she turned to Mimi. “I think I broke the park. My bad.” She got a facepalm in response from Mimi.
