Chapter 48: Mimi Is Missing

A beautiful tan-skinned woman with long brown hair lay asleep in her bedroom. The woman, Slimantha, lay upon her pink twin-sized bed. A smiled showed upon her face, and her limbs—both arms and legs—snugly hugged a large blue slime.

“Cheese sandwich,” she murmured. A bit of drool seeped from corner of her mouth. “So delicious.” She bit down—bit down on the slime—and scored a one-bite knock out. The knocked-out slime oozed out of her grip and onto the wooden floor below. “Such a delicious cheese sandwich.” A bit more drool leaked out from between her lips.

She then rolled over onto her stomach. Her limbs—both arms and legs—splayed out to the sides. Her large bosom pressed down against the mattress beneath her. A pink frilly cropped tank-top clung to the top of her curvy figure. Pink frilly hot-pants clung to her bottom.

“Need more …” she murmured. “Need more cheese sandwich.”

A knocking sounded out, and her beautiful brown eyes fluttered open. She climbed up to her hands and knees before sitting back upon her heels. She yawned. Her eyes then went to the unconscious large blue slime on the floor. Its eyes stared upward as a pair of ‘X’s.

Slimantha blinked. “What happened to you?” she said, her beautiful brown eyes still on the unconscious slime. “Well, I guess it doesn’t matter.” She yawned again. “Just lie it off.”

Another round of knocking drew her attention, and she blinked again. “Coming!” she said. She climbed out of bed and stumbled out of her bedroom. Her bare feet pattered against the wooden floor as she made her way to her apartment door. She unlocked the door, yawing as she did so. She grabbed the silver knob and then opened the wooden door.

Her beautiful brown eyes fell upon a petite woman with flawless porcelain skin and long black hair. The woman wore a black lacy dress. Black shoes clad the woman’s feet. Actually, the woman’s skin wasn’t the only thing flawless about her. Somehow, everything about the woman gave off an aura of flawlessness. In fact, the woman’s flawlessness seemed like a flaw itself. The woman was Tabitha the Doll, the landlady of Tabitha’s Apartments.

“Good morning, Slimantha,” Tabitha said, following up with a pleasant smile that seemed a little too perfect.

“Morning, Tabitha,” Slimantha said before smiling back at Tabitha. “What brings you here this morning?” Slimantha yawned again and then glanced down at her own clothes. She was still in her pajamas.

Tabitha’s lovely red eyes met with Slimantha’s beautiful brown eyes. “Mimi is missing,” she said.

“Mimi is missing?” Slimantha blinked. “This … This sounds important.” The slime summoner stepped back to make room. “Mind if we take this to my bedroom?” She glanced down at her own pajamas again. “I’d like to get changed out of my pajamas at least.”

Tabitha gave a slight giggle. “That’s fine,” she said and then stepped into Slimantha’s apartment.

“Thanks,” Slimantha said before shutting and locking the door. She then led Tabitha to her bedroom. Tabitha’s black shoes lightly tapped the wooden floor as the pair walked.

Slimantha stretched her limbs upon stopping in her bedroom. She turned to Tabitha. “Please make yourself comfortable,” the slime summoner said. She gestured at her bed. “Have a seat if you want. Just try not to step on the slime.” She smiled. The slime she had mentioned still lay unconscious beside the bed.

“Thank you,” Tabitha said. Ever so elegantly, she sat down upon the pink wooden-framed bed. It creaked beneath her. “Like I mentioned earlier, Mimi is missing. She stepped out last night but never returned.”

“Well, that doesn’t sound good.” Slimantha walked to the corner where a wooden vanity set had been set up. A wooden chair sat in front of said vanity set. On the set’s tabletop, fresh clothes had been laid out. Slimantha began looking through the laid-out clothes. “Pants. Top. Panties.” She blinked. “Wait. What happened to my bra?” She began looking about.

Tabitha pointed at a white bra laying upon the wooden floor. “Is that it?” She said. Her red eyes went back to Slimantha, and she got a smile from the slime summoner.

“Thanks so much.” Slimantha walked over to the bra. She hinged at her hips, bending over and snatching her bra from the wooden floor. She straightened back up. “How did my bra even get over here. Well, I guess it doesn’t matter.” Her bare feet softly sounded out against the wooden floor as she headed back to the vanity. “Let’s see. Pants. Top. Panties. Bra. I think that’s everything.” She glanced at Tabitha. “You mind turning around?”

Tabitha stood up and did as asked. She turned away from Slimantha. “I believe Mimi may have vanished from the apartment complex’s front yard.”

“I see.” Slimantha pulled off her tank-top as she disrobed. She glanced at Tabitha. “No peeking.”

“Don’t worry. I won’t peek.” Tabitha showed no hint of even trying to peek at Slimantha. “Back to Mimi, I am worried about her. Would you mind looking into her disappearance?”

“Sure, I can do that.” Slimantha pulled her pants up. She was now clad in a red short-sleeved crop-top and brown pants. She took a seat at the vanity and pulled a wooden hair brush from the vanity’s drawer. Brush met hair as she began drawing said brush through her long brown locks.

“Glad to hear it,” Tabitha said. The eyes of the two women met, and Tabitha gave Slimantha another of her too-perfect smiles. She got a smile back from Slimantha in response. “Changing topic”—Tabitha smiled again—“what are your thoughts on Samuel the Hero From Another World?”

“Samuel?” Slimantha returned her brush to the vanity’s drawer. She then stood up. Her beautiful brown eyes met with the lovely red eyes of Tabitha. “Well”—she glanced away—“he is a hero.” Her eyes then returned to Tabitha, and she gave the landlady a smile.

Tabitha brought her right hand to her lips and giggled. “I suppose a hero is a hero,” she said and then giggled a bit more. She lowered her right hand. “What do you think of him as a hero though?”

“I think …” A sweatdrop rolled down Slimantha’s right cheek. “I think he is not a very good hero.” She then hung her head. “And now I feel kind of bad.”

Tabitha giggled again, her right hand going back to her lips. “Don’t feel bad.” She lowered her right hand, and her lovely red eyes met with Slimantha’s beautiful brown eyes. “I agree that he is not a very good hero now, but that just means he could use some training.”

“Training?” Slimantha blinked. “I suppose you’re right.” She smiled. “Thanks for cheering me up.”

Slimantha then walked over to a dresser positioned against one of her bedroom’s wooden walls. Said dresser had three drawers, and at said dresser’s left, two pairs of footwear sat upon the wooden floor. The first pair was a pair of black shoes, the second a pair of black high-heels. She grabbed the black shoes and slipped them on.

Slimantha’s gaze returned to Tabitha, and the slime summoner smiled. “So how do I look?” She did a little spin to emphasize the question.

“You look good.” Tabitha smiled at Slimantha.

“Thanks. I’ll show you out.” Slimantha then led Tabitha out of her apartment.
