Day 35

I pondered too long about this. I pondered on what kind of plant seeds that I want, and it took me the whole morning to decide on some cherry tomato seeds.

Now, why would I ponder too much when now I have the spells to conjure up whatever seeds, however much, whenever I want it to? Yeah, no, that’s not how the spell works at all. According to the grimoires, once I conjure up some seeds with the spell, it will take me about a month or so before being able to conjure another. Which is understandable, considering how potent commonly known seeds conjured from druidic spells are, you can basically upset the balance of nature if the Gods didn’t put any limitation on the spells.

I suppose that’s the reason why ancient druids built this dungeon deep inside the earth, disconnected from nature, so that it doesn’t mess with the balance of things. Sucks to be them, of course, because I’m here now and in the process of trying to dig my way out of here. I wonder, though, what would happen to this place once I connected the tunnel to the surface world? Yeah, let’s cross that bridge later.

Back to the topic of the cherry tomatoes, I planted five three-meter rows of it north of the nut field. This makes the eastern half of the cavern now officially the farming part of the cavern. Looking at the abnormal growth rate of the nuts here, I predict the cherry tomatoes will take three-four days to fully grow, and I will be able to harvest them every other day.

I hope that cherry tomato’s sweet-sour taste goes well with the nut paste’s ground-fusion taste. If that’s not the case, I could make some tomato juice with it too. And probably some wine… MY NUT WINE. I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT IT.

Good. It hasn't completely gone bad yet. Let’s drink some of it tonight, and throw the bad part of it to the slime…
