Today I constructed a simple stone fence circumventing the nuts field, covering two-third of the eastern half of the cavern. I built the fence by stacking medium-sized stone debris from the escape tunnel digging effort. It’s primitive and took me the whole day due to how vast this place is, but whatever.
The height of the fence is about 1.5 m. It should be able to deter any small and medium animals, such as slimes or mini pigs, from entering and ransacking the nuts field. I’m not sure about bigger animals, though. While considering the average size of air holes here might not be able to be entered by big animals, such as deer or leopard, who knows what would happen in this mysterious cavern.
I mean, hello, I’m here. I’m sure as hell cannot fit myself into one of those air holes, but I’m here, trapped, by myself. That means someone or something trapped me in here using some kind of teleportation-based trap. And, as far as I know, teleportation-based traps are blind as long as it stays activated, and something stepped on it. Who knows what kind of animals would be teleported in here, and when. I just need to prepare everything to protect my nuts, don't I?

Oh, right, I took a round circling the cavern this morning to find some mushrooms or new stuff. I didn’t find anything, of course, yet. It’s just moss and lightly grown vegetation all over the wall. But where there’s moss, there are bound to be some kind of mushrooms due to the humidity. I just need to wait for a few days, maybe.
That aside, the nuts field seems to be ready to harvest tomorrow morning, AND the nut wine too at night. It has been a while since I last tasted alcohol, let’s hope the experiment goes well.
