I don’t know if I need to write this, but I decided to put Plan A into the backburner. It has been a couple of days since the last aha moment with the white snake. And I don’t see any signs of white snakes appearing soon, so… yeah… I guess I need to keep the daily digging going.
In the first place, aren't white snakes kinda rare in the world? I heard that about one in a hundred thousand snakes in the continent will be born white. But what did I know: I was just a hungry magician craving for some fat.
Anyway, I found out today that dried slime is actually a great substitute for leather. I thought it was just its texture, but if applied with alchemy, dried slime can actually be tough, elastic, and waterproof. I tried to create a simple water pouch using it for alchemy practice, and it turned out better than I expected. I wonder why other mercenaries don’t bring slime water pouches around. It saves space. It’s like packing water and emergency food at the same time. I “accidentally” made tens of them.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
Huh? What? How about the stone pot practices? Yeah, they are still there—piling up in a corner of this vast cavern. Nevermind that.
I think I shouldn’t have done this. I shouldn’t have split my concentration by trying to do alchemy training, digging the escape tunnel, and wall banging my head to figure out the ancient door in the same day. I might be able to do it if there’s anything fun to do in the meantime, but nope.
Why are you beating yourself up, me? It’s not like it’ll help anyone, right? There’s no one here beside you, after all.
Look at those nuts in the distance. You planted them.
Look at the slime trench. There are slimes there.
This is not working. I need to drink—alcoholic drinks.
