There is good news and bad news.
The good news is, as I used the radar spell on the twelve o’clock hole, I found out that there’s a man-made tunnel connected to it in a few meters distance. The tunnel is rectangular with wooden supporting beams along the way. It’s dark, damp, and reminds me of an ancient mining operation in the Western part of the Empire that I visited on a quest a few years ago.
Now to the bad news part: There’s an ancient door at the end of the tunnel, and I can’t seem to open it.
I have tried everything in the book. I tried pushing it open with all my might. I tried pushing it open with all sorts of magical means. I tried to look for hidden triggers all over the tunnel. The ancient door won’t budge, not even once.
I even tried to dig a separate tunnel in the wall to circumvent the door, but it led me back to where I started, twice. I guess this confirms that I’m either trapped inside a dungeon or an ancient ruin, the question is… which is which?
If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
If by some chance I’m trapped inside an ancient ruin, that means someone purposefully transported me here, but for what reasons? I don’t think anyone in the Blue Canary would have the gall to do this to me, so is it outside enemies? Who would dare enough to do this to me?
On the other hand, if I’m currently inside the dungeon, the answer is simpler. I just need to destroy the mana heart in the center of the dungeon to destroy it.
And look how convenient it is to see that there’s an obnoxious mana heart dangling in the ceiling of this cavern. If this place is a dungeon, then that mana heart is definitely the center of it. Just look at the size of it. It could pass as a dungeon center for all I care.
But then again, if I destroy that mana heart, how will I escape this place when the roof starts raining down on me? I assume the mana heart is the one supporting this whole cavern structure, so destroying it might as well bury myself alive, right?
How should I progress with this, I wonder.
