Nut wine. I remember hearing its recipe once from a blacksmith in the back-alley of the capital.First, grind a palm of nut. Make it into a juice by adding water. Let it sit for a while in a container—I used some of the piled up stone pots layered with dried slime to prevent leak—until all the nut oil surfaced. Skim the oil. Spit on the batch to promote fermentation. Cover the batch using a cloth—I used dried slime as replacement—and let it ferment.
Due to the low sugar content of the nut, I suppose this first batch will be ready in about three-four days. For this, I prepared one pot each of red nut wine, yellow nut wine, and blue nut wine. Let’s hope this will go well even though I never tried to make the drink myself prior to today. Though, who am I kidding? Gripping aside, I think I’ve hit a soil layer in the escape tunnel digging effort. It’s not stone anymore, so the digging and debris removal became easier to do, increasing the digging speed to almost double.
On the other hand, I just remember that I should at least note the random stuff that I threw at the ancient door just in case anything sticks and opens it.
