84, really now? Why isn't this author dead and gone yet?

Micky relaxed as they finished the registration at the adventurer’s guild. While the girls weren’t full members yet due to being level 1 or as some called level none they couldn’t register. However, once they passed level 10 and had their specialization they would. Micky felt like it was only yesterday that he was registoring for the guild. “It was only a couple of weeks ago, if your memory is that bad then maybe you shouldn’t be adventuring...” Said Prin.

“Hey! I resemble that remark.” Said Micky in a playfully miffed way.

“Ah no she’s right, you should really worry about repeated blows to the head if you’re having problems remembering that short ago.” Said the receptionist unhelpfuly. She only gave him a cheeky smile to his glare. And then he got a glare from half the adventurers for glaring at her, specifically the male half, mostly, and it may have also been because of the smile as well.

Micky decided to cut his loses in this losing battle and take his five wonderful, if overbearing, woman party members and leave. Of course, not without giving a few subtle hints at all the other gathered adventurers that he was gloating over the fact he had five female members where were theirs? This in turn got even the female adventurers to give him the stink eye.

“Stop teasing people or we’re putting you back on your leash!” Said Prin. This got a few giggles from her wards.

Micky rolled back his shoulders and stretched. Prin rolled her eyes, it wasn’t like he was going to be doing much why was he stretching? But she supposed she shouldn’t nitpick him at every opportunity, if she did she would be the one out of breath!

Prin checked over her wards and her gear, the job was simple take out a bunch of slimes. The job was actually to take out a nest of over one hundred slimes but they had taken the job ten times. The guild wouldn’t usually put upp jobs like this, they didn’t usually put up jobs beyond the numbers ten or if they were gifted enough to include a full set of toes, twenty, and in troll lands, twelve including toes. But this was clearing out the crawl, and slimes were something that would spawn randomly in areas. This was what a starting monster truly was, a monster that was too random to get rid of completely from an area. It was why slimes were so prevalent.

Micky cast his buffs out and prepared to dive, but he had a sneaky little idea. Of course, he wasn’t going to do it until he was in combat, he didn’t want to get hit!...

The little party of not adventurers took their day trip into the wonderful musty world of the sewers. There were rumors that the crawl connected to an undercity of the undercavern, but nobody actually knew where that was supposed to be. However they were certain they could take on anything that they would come across or run away. The last time running into a boss was special!

The group quickly came across as slime that was wondering about and began their counting lesson. It wouldn’t do if these girls didn’t know their numbers. Brightfur was first and launched off. She swung her macelike wooden staff down. But even with [Accelerated] on she couldn’t smash it with her first swing.

Jezebel then struck down with her battle brush using [Draft] writing out an ancient character for [Death] in a language she didn’t know and has never spoken. The brush was like a giant brush shaped spear and struck both awe and wonder in those that saw it, but mostly questions more than fear. She also completely missed. Marry was a little bit better and hit the little slime with [Curse: Suffering] and [Curse: Weakness]. However when she went to smash the offending creature with her own gnarled wand, the best priced piece of equipment of the lot, because the clerk didn’t want to offend a future powerful witch, something that almost made her cry again, she also missed.

It was Abigale that smashed the little bugger. With her [Sense: Intent] Skill she was able predict where the monster wanted to go. In addition she was on a mission with her master, and therefore got a boost to all her skills and abilities. Of course she also got a bonus to her wiles to manipulate her master, but her master wasn’t interested in her ‘wiles’ yet, nor was she so keen on using them.

Yes, Abigale, who hadn’t gotten a battle skill besides a buff should she be doing her master’s will was the one to finally grab the slime and then pin it beneath her thick soled boot. Keeping the bouncy rubbery thing under her boot long enough for Jezebel to finish it off.

Abigale flexed her new handraps and battle boots. The handwraps were simple leather, but the boots had points on them that allowed her to use them much more aggressively. The points were made of bronze and moved in a line up the tongue of the boot where they ended in a pair of points that jut out at an angle to either side. The toe also had a small curved blade, just long enough for a potential grappler to get away with their hand to hand proficiency efficiently.

The girls cheered, their first kill! Take one slime down, nine hundred ninty nine to go.

The girls were getting tired of counting slimes! Brightfur had the most trouble getting past ten due to her absolutely deplorable education. However even the other girls were having problems keeping up. Micky and Prin were also getting bored since they were out of the party in order to not hog experience. But they were thinking that they might turn on the bus sometime soon.

Then the goblins came. Unfortunately they were in a tunnel with no way back, because they were coming from both directions. Micky frowned, there should not be goblins in this part of the crawl. So he gave a nod to Prin and headed off to take a quick look down the bend of one side, not before renewing and buffing Prin back up though.

Micky saw a group of twenty goblins, The problem being that where there was one, there was more, and were there was more they became uncountable. This was a ‘were there’s more’ situation. After his quick peek he met back up with Prin to see what she had found.

As it turned out she had found the more, though from the description the two were from different groups. Micky’s group was poorly outfitted in rusting green copper scraps. Prin’s group had old worn used leather equipment and a married smattering of dilapidated weapons but larger numbers at about one hundred. They decided that they should probably charge Micky’s group and head down a another tunnel down that way.

Micky buffed out the girls and the group headed down the tunnel, relatively quietly. They weren’t really going to get much of an ambush going, but that didn’t mean they couldn’t at least try to roll the better initiative. Micky’s group heard the goblins just ahead of the bend and Prin took the lead with a charge. She didn’t bother using her spears due to the fact that she wouldn’t have the time to retrieve them. The goblins were already on alert but were not prepared for a silently charging adventurer (Mostly) party.

The goblins barely had enough time to get their weapons up before they were smashed into by the one hundred and sixty pounds of slim but muscular ork. Brightfur bashed in a skull with her mace/staff and started looking pale when the vicera started to leak out. Jezebel struck out with her spear/brush stabbing through things while writing different characters and things. One of the goblins even died with an exagerated smile on his face almost splitting his skull in half. Abigale smashed into the goblins punching and kicking while Marry cast her curses. Marry started with [Curse: Suffering] but soon realized that what she needed wasn’t to deal DOT (Damage over time) but debuffs instead. Micky himself also charged in, weilding his staff in defense as he used a dagger to stab through the goblins. All while Squishy bounced around in the melee.

But the goblins heard the fighting, and they too were coming up from behind. Nothing excites a goblin more than battle and women and they smelled both!
